It feels good to see your post opened again.anyway now my ipk story.once a fine morning evening or afternood i saw a promo which say a new show is going to on air and then i saw the leads and they are gunjan and shravan.i dont know why but i thought that they will look good together.so on 6th june i opened my tv at 8 and saw the show and started to follow it daily.how i discover this forum because of my tution i used to miss live show on tuesday,thurseday and wednesday and as i had colleges i used to miss the repeats too sumtimes so i googled this and saw some site where wus are available and the first such site was myeduniya but after then i discovered india forums and since to read wu u have to register here i registered to but chose to be a silent member as i am not very good at describing my povs.i used to log in here at once a day that too at 9.because thats the time my tution class used to end.and rest as they say is history.

I was never interested in watching the show... i had no clue about the actors etc though I had seen Sanaya on and off. For me IPK really started when Khushi ticked of Arnav big time at his home and and handed her resignation...

and then I notice Arnav's character and Khushi's too. Both characters in the initial few months were well etched.. and enjoyable. Alas they PH only managed to keep Arnav steady (even that went for a toss later)

But the chemistry between the leads kept me hooked... there was something there quite not definable.

And yes I always thought Arnav was a very very modern man hardly seen in a sea of wimps on TV.

But I am also in the minority who thinks that this character was so well written that any good actor would have done justice to it just as Sobti did in most parts..

Khushi was harder to play because she fluctuated so much. Sanaya had a harder job any day

I still miss IPK and have not managed to get hooked to any other soap

After balaji era ended with entry of COLORS ..i cudnt take too much of social rural based shows like na aana is des laado or balik vadhu for to long. In 2011 april a star plus colleague told me we are coming with a new show a pure romance.. just watch it. Ipknnd was replacing a show called chand chupa badal mein at 8pm slot. .So wen the promos came...i knew it was the concept of middle class girl falling in love with her rich boss. For me i just want to say IPK is the DDLJ of TV industry. It pains more cause the team was dedicated but some didnt support the Prodcution to make the show reach milestones

How did I find IF?

was always aware of IF but as a news portal.Didnt knew about discussions. was once tagged in a post which was about a IF post on spoilers..So just logged in and found out what the deal is all about

Did you even like IPK?

IPK is close to my heart/ Also as a learner it hepled me learn also about proper screenplay, direction of a scene..just by observing

Barun Sobti?

I feel sorry.cause by the time he realises things wud hv changed drastically ahead. Nothing is permanent. Change is the only constant thing in life. wanted him to finish off this IPK project completely by supporting the PH keeping his wishes a bit aside and then later move to wherever he likes to venture. and most importantly not giving contradicting statements.

Sanaya Irani?

I heard a lot about her from ppl in the sets from her first show radha ki betiyaan on imagine TV. I never thought she cud play a girl from lucknow..She just shocked me from being shanaya to gunjan to KHushi. Iam proud to say i admire her as a person .cause she always expresses her gratitude to Gul for giving her Khushi. which turned her into international tv star overnight.

Trust you to have the most logical reasons. 😆

Speaking of the screenplay, I was amazed at the importance given to the deets unlike most shows on Indian TV.

They were actually good with the hidden meanings 4lions!

What did IPK mean to me?

I never watched Indan shows, just watched Tere Liye for some time but otherwise never bothered. But IPK was a different story. I chanced upon a scene where Arnav was having flashbacks of how Khushi fell into his arms the first time and then he broke the string of pearls and I was hooked. I could not ignore the chemistry between the leads and started watching it religiously on tv/internet whichever way possible.

How did I find IF?

I came across this forum while trying to find a written update of the serial Tere Liye that I watched for some time. I became a member but commented twice or thrice and then stopped coming as I had stopped watching that show and was not interested in any show as such and did not explore the forum. I came back to the forum when I got addicted to IPK and wanted to find out more about the show and the actors.

Now that IPK is over I visit for interesting FF's of Arshi and also to be informed of what they are doing.

Did you even like IPK?

Like is a petty word for the way I was crazy over IPK. My entire famly thought I was obsessed and my behaviour was peculiar to them as I'm considered a sensible person who doesn't go to extremes and for IPK I went to extremes.

Barun Sobti?

In my thirty years I only had a crush on Bryan Adams and that was when I was sixteen. I have appreciated actors and enjoyed watching them but the crush I had on Barun Sobti was something new and alien to me. I was even embarrassed about how my heart fluttered for a reel character or an actor at this age (30). I'm glad I fell in love with him for I don't think I would have known such silly feelings otherwise...LOL

And I don't dislike him for anything...I'm absolutely blinded by his looks, acting skills and offscreen personality.

Sanaya Irani?

I think Sanaya is the most beautiful actor in the tv industry and the amount of hard work she puts in and how much she gave to the show was very much obvious. I love her for her dedication and her offscreen personality.

Sanay and Barun together created magic and I'm under their spell...that's my story :)

What did IPK mean to me?

I used to mock Indian soaps, I seriously did. I used to catch glimpses of some dramas which seemed decent at first yeah, but then was always put off by the dramatics, the camera's zooming in, and all that crying. My first episode was the one where Khushi was given the task of arranging La and ASR's engagement party I think. The expressions, the dialogues, everything was so different.I was hooked. IPK meant magic. Seriously illogical and strange magic but still c:

How did I find IF?

Heard it being mentioned in one of Nooreen Khan's interviews with SI in jan/feb. I, um. Call me stupid ok? But I had no idea people liked indian soaps enough to put them on youtube and all over the internet and I had just found out and was going a little crazy over ipk stuff.

Silent reader for a while, then decided to join.

Did you even like IPK?

Love it. Minus the shit later it was an extremely awesome show that I really miss.

Barun Sobti?

I do not like him for his actions the last six months or so of the show but yes he did make a great ASR in the beginning. I wish him well in his future projects.

Sanaya Irani?

I love how she handles herself and her work. She seems like an extremely loyal person, completely into what she does. It shows in her work. Her playing Khushi was a delight to watch. Her acting was one thing that I noticed from the beginning of the show, and kept me watching it throughout. TV industry should have more Sanaya Irani's.

So yeah. That's me. :)

Mine would be the most unique and may be worst experience ever.

IPK is the first indian TV show that I ever got attracted to..I always felt that Indian television shows are always about the saas-bahu drama. IPK proved me wrong and changed my notion about Indian drama

The first scene i saw was Arshi's suhagraat☺️😆. I was actually flipping through the channels waiting for my friend and saw a beautiful girl dancing to 'Namak ishq'. Her dance was sensuous and funny at the same time. I liked how the guy was reacting to her. He was actually blushing. I loved their confession of love and the actors too. I made a mental note to watch the show when i am free but missed the next episode. When i tuned in to the show later, i saw the girl being insulted and the guy abandoned her at the wedding altar . I thought that the guy wouldn't come back and the girl would get pregnant. Ah.. regular, boring indian drama. I was proved wrong. The guy came back and they got married. I was impressed with the amazing performance of the actors through out the entire track. I googled for the show and stumbled upon ismailvegamze's videos. I watched jaadu hai nasha and almost kiss. I was smitten by the show and ArShi that it took me only 3 days with literally no sleep to watch entire Arshi love scenes.

What did IPK mean to me?

It means a lot.. I used to feel very lonely when i was bed ridden and IPK was like a breath of fresh air. IPK was my only companion until my parents were back from work. May be this is the reason why i got emotionally attached to it.

IPK will always remain special for me..I still miss Arnav and khushi like hell

How did I find IF?

I was randomly googling about the actors and come across an article stating that Barun might leave IPK and Arnav might die!! Believe me, i actually had tears in my eyes. It really sounds funny now. I do not remember crying in any movies. This was when i realized that i got emotionally attached to IPK. I stumbled across this forum while googling for more information. All i could see was call and spam. I did not believe in any conspiracy theory and most of them sounded ridiculous. I did not create an ID but instead started going through some old posts. You people really did have amazing time together. I created an ID in jan hoping things would get better but sigh..😔

Barun Sobti?

Was an amazing actor who made me fall in love with a ruthless and headstrong business tycoon. I do not know if i would like ASR in the same way that i do now if it was any other actor. He was prefect as ASR until remarriage.

The first television actor that i fell in love with. I was miffed with him when he left but not anymore. Wish him success in the path that he has choosen.

For me, Gul,barun and star plus are to be equally blamed and i choose to forgive all of them..😔😆

Sanaya Irani?

Well what can i saw about her... She is the epitome of perfection. A thorough professional, an amazing actress, a beautiful girl who manages to look like 18 though she is actually 29..

I cannot imagine anyone as khushi. She was the one who made me love khushi though the character was ruined by the CVs.

I confess i have a girl crush on her..All the best to her and wish her new show is a grand success..

While IPK made me change my opinion about indian drama, SaRun made me change my opinion about Indian television actors. I always thought that Indian television actors are mediocre but no sanaya and barun are actually better than some movie actors.

So this is my experience. I guess i have the worst possible timing. Started watching the show when it started going down hill and came across IF when the forum was a riot.😭
