Episodes 54.55,56: Express version 😉

Tensions mount between Nani and Arnav when Nani uses Laxmi to barge into his room where Lavanya has snuck into. At first Arnav looks a bit embarrassed because he knows how this looks to Nani, but she has no idea out of respect for her and the value she upholds, he made a very wise decision by doing this..😃

👏 claps for Arnvav!!!! 👍🏼

Then he gets even more upset when Nani advises La to sleep early so she can get up for arti in the morning, he was about to object to religious stuff being imposed on La , but observes she doesn't mind and right away agrees to do it. He didn't utter a word but his displeasure and anger on his face spoke for him (Sobti BRILLIANT!)

love this scene as he stares Nani down, takes a few sexy steps with out blinking and closes the door only to put his head back against it in agony like it was all too much for him.

He is losing control, a big part has to do with the girl that won't stop coming in his dil or dimaag (hear or mind)...sometimes in the form of curtains, sometimes as DM chunni and sometimes at the table when someone mention Lucknow food... and this strained relationship with his Nani is also affecting him.

Meanwhile at the GH, Khushi comes up with the idea to advertise catering, to which Buaji immediatly begs her, no more ideas, please . Khushi convinced her by using her dad's business strategies, "haan nahi kare hai, to konu aur ujha lai dieyo sasura laike(if i don't say yes, you come up with other problems)" "THANK YOU BUAJI!!!!!" and there is that hug :)

Arnav immerses himself in planning a anniversary party for Anjam (thanks Anita!), may be that will take his mind off of all things Khushi right? NOPE! He is on the phone with the same manager that Khushi just scored a contract with for his party "the party should be perfect, all guest should walk away complimenting it. understand?" La walks in just as he is hanging up wanting to complain about what happened in the mandir (where even after Nani specifically told her to get up early and come bathed, she didn't so Nani got really mad), but Arnav has no time or the mood for her drama since he has to plan in just one day (wow i would so hire him as my party planner if he wasn't so rich ).

She asks him what dress she should wear but he goes back on the phone..guess he didn't hear her, "hamaari bridal collection ki red saari pehnu? the one chamkili wore?" those sensitized ears pick up her name... attention no longer on the phone, pictures of Khushi in the red saari as he stands there thirsty to drink in her beauty..

he stops himself as his dimaag fights back "enough Lavanya!" he turns around "mujhe aaj ke baad uska naam nahi sun na hai (I don't want to hear her name after today)!"

just last night he woke up in the middle of the night to the most tender thoughts of her, her dupatta sweetly touching his face. Indeed he loved being "wrapped up"(Thanks Indi!) in her dupatta, and in her. Total submission to her essence, he was not ready to be interrupted by his girlfriend, he was still very much in a daze when La was trying to kiss him. But since he last saw Khushi, a certain resentment had been building up toward her then he saw the lock confirming his fears that she left. Every thought of her that wandered in, made him more vulnerable, a tag that doesn't suit Arnav Singh Raizada.

He needed to gain that control back.Later, while opening his khazana of personal belongings, Arnav noticse the motis (pearls) belonging to khushi's blouse that he had torn so vigorously that night at Sheesh mahel. Is there a more intimate place to put them than where his personal belongings stay in secured box? he has already made her a part of him 😊

There it is, the vulnerability on his face at the sight of them and his desire to feel them in his hands. The touch of them transport him to that moment the first night they met
seconds into the thought, he erupts, he throws the beads in such anger his whole body swings around. How out of control he must feel to erupt like that at her thoughts? how much did she hurt him by not listening to him and then leaving? That's it! no more! ...when he faces us again, the best back-score ever is back and so is ASR...well he's trying anyway. Hard-hitting dialogues spoken by the most hard-hit man to himself.

"itna kamzor nahin hai Arnav Singh Raizada ki ek ladki ke khayaal ko apne dil se na nikaal sake! ek saaye ki tarah chha gayee hai mere dimaag mein (ASR is not so weak that he can't fortge about a girl, she's on my mind like a shadow)"

By throwing those pearls out, he believe he is ridding of her thoughts and well.. her, but so much pain on his face because a part of him is also in those pearls, both have already become shadows of each other, the one doesn't exist with out the other... Arnav will understand this one day "agar tum koshish bhi karogi Khushi, tab bhi hum alag nahi ho sakte, Arnav aur Khushi hamesha saath rahenge (even if you try Khushi, we cant be separated, Arnav And Khushi will stay together forever)"

" bar bar usi ka khayal, uss hi ka chehra, jaise mujhe challenge kar rahi ho...nahi mein haar maan ne waalon me se nahi hoon. (her thoughts keep coming, like she's challenging me, no, i don't lose) "

She had been a challenge for him since their first meeting errr confrontation, then he signed a contract with her which he fully intended to win... but the unexpected happened, he fell in love...and for some time she was no longer a challenge, whatever she was, he was engulfed in it...he inhaled it... but now her constant walking away as he tries to speak to her and the constant taunting of her thoughts...she is a challenge again, or is it that calling her a challenge is the only way ASR can even begin to flush her out since he always has to win?

"Emotions, Ehsaas, inn sab ki meri zindagi mein koi jagah nahi hai...aur na mein kabhi ban ne dooga. Tum mere uss kal ka hissa ho jo beet chuka hai aur ab, Khushi Kumaari Gupta ek naam se zyaada aur kuchh nahi hai, (you were a part of my past, now you're nothing more than a name Khushi Kumaari Gupta) "

"Mein tumhe apne ghar mein jaga nahi bana ne doonga (I won't let you make place for yourself in my house)" he tells her the first day Anjali brings her to work at the RM, so adamant that he has no room for emotions, ehsaas (feelings), pyar (love), Khushi and jaga ban ne nahi doonga (emotions, feelings, love, Khushi and he will not make room for).

Determined he is, but this determination looks awfully familiar, "Arnav Singh Raizada ko kisi ladki se koi farq nahi padta (no girl will make a difference for ASR)"...he said to himself that day he saw her in the red and they when he saved her from an oncoming car. fact is when it comes to Khushi the harder he pushes away the closer he gets to her and the same goes for Khushi, and both are is pushing mighty hard.😉
His face say," i will forget her, i will win" but his eyes have moistened throwing her pearls away, they reminds me of a line from the first IPK promo: "Kaash mein tumse pyaar kar paata (I wish i could love you)"

Wonderful scene as Arnav and Nani reach a mutual understanding the wave their peace flags for the day of the party. There was so much respect in Arnav's eyes for this nani...just lovely

La wants to help more with the party, but he bluntly tells her he doesn't trust anyone except himself, realizing what he just said, he looks back at La apologetic for what he just said, "its ok ASR, but i have surpise planned for them also" [His sentence about trust says a lot, about where La stands in his life and how protective he is of his Di, only trust himself, on the note about La planning the surprise, i wonder why he doesn't ask her what she's is planning, he knows his gf is not the brightest bulb in the lot...and he just said he doesn't trust anyone when it comes to this party...just a thought.]

Khushi and Payal pass the taste test by the restaurant owner that hired them to cater for the big party. He tells them to hurry, the party will start on time.
"is there any info that will make it easier to find?" a very happy Khushi asks

"Shanti one, jaha raizada house hai"

Khushi's smile disapears and looks up in shock, Payal knows this will be a problem, "hum wahan nahi jaa sakte(I told you, i can't go there)" even after he warned to ruin her business, she was ready to walk out. Thankfully Payal convinces her reminding her of how much they need the money and how Buaji leased the bangles [im still very mad that they never got their money for this order] Khushi longs for Arnav just as much as he does, but this is exactly why she is terrified, he is a rakshash and needs to stay that way. Also if she goes there, he'll know that she didn't go to Lucknow and maybe even accuse her of being a liar. As always she asks from protection for DM when it comes to him...protection of her heart, of her feelings.

Heart-grabbing ending as we are set up for the maha-epi 2, Khushi and Payal arrive at the RM, nervous and anxious Khushi rings the bell, meanwhile Arnav on his phone yelling at some one. Khushi steps into his world again, a soft breeze...a soft melody... he feels this "ehsaas" that he has no room for, but when its in his midst, all is forgotten even the phone call...she prays that he isn't home, even though she felt him..Personally i feel she didn't really mean that :)

"Nahi woh yahaan nahi ha, mein uske baare mein nahi soch na chahta..."

Boy is he in for "Lucknow SWEET Surprize" 😊

DROOL CORNER!!!!!!!!!!!

❤️ helpless Arnav when it come to her ❤️ vulnerability is so beautiful at times

Indi, I can't say I have experience in viewing Hindi films until late but Marigold is the movie that brought me to Star Plus and IPK. I now watch some of the modern films but I will have to go back and watch some older films on line. I just love the innocence of love and the respect for man, woman and their bodies in these films. In the USA almost all films have someone with their clothes off and they are showing intimate love scenes that sometimes resemble po*n. I was so tired of that. I wanted my respect back, my morals back and I chose to watch Hindi films/ serials. I just love the feeling and my imagination can now be enticed!

Indi, lovely take on Hindi films. 😊 Shammi Kapoor reminds me of the movie Junglee. I find many similarities to this movie and IPK. A rich businessman who talks less, never smiles and who has a serious and angry look; and a young, fun-loving, talkative small town girl. They have petty fights initially, but later fall head over heels in love. And the guy turns into a happy, naughty romantic. His mother is somewhat like Dadi, who's fed false stories about the girl by the bad guys. There is also the guy's sister who has her own story (although its totally different from the show). But, for the sake of the sister, the girl takes some risks, ends up getting blamed, small misunderstanding created. But, in the end, the bad guys are exposed and there's a happy ending. I love the song from the movie Ehsaan tera hoga mujhpar. It fits so well with Arnav and Khushi.
Cinthia, there are many many beautiful classic movies which u can relish upon. If u tell us which genre of movies u would like to see, we can suggest some names. And, why only Hindi, there are so many wonderful movies made in other Indian languages as well. I am sure, many of us here, would gladly provide u list of some good movies in various languages. 😊

he didn't say a word this episode. yet, his eyes, his turn of head, his walk, his stance, everything spoke and said so many things. the most important of all that he was disturbed. very very disturbed. i can try and guess only at the things that were bothering him.

there was that constant thinking about a girl he really didn't wish to think of. at least his dimag forbade it. there's no point... the girl is gone, plus girls don't make a difference to you... grow up, stop this... perhaps it admonished. yet something in him refused to listen. much later in a lovely conversation that would travel via stars, he will say how much he tried not to let her matter, but alas his own heart didn't listen to him. and now, so poignantly ever since he's seen that locked door, we're watching the waywardness of his dil.

while it might thrill me no end to see him thinking of her, he is really suffering because of it. end of 53, his sleep was gone, and he was most unlike himself as he gently stepped up into the night, held a billowing curtain and slipped into a reverie, almost forgetting to be angry. this is unusual to say the least, it is hard on the personality he has carefully groomed to face life. that childhood tragedy would have broken him otherwise.

he needs to believe in what he says, "arnav singh raizada ko kissi ladki se koi faraq nahin padta." and this has gone way beyond faraq, it's gone to places in his heart, invading his day, his night.

faraq apart, there's a deeper issue at stake here. his take on sahi aur galat. around which is structured his conscience. and that is sacrosanct to his well being. when the unthinkable happened, both brother and sister struggled to find ways to survive. anjali saw a mainstay in her brother, she transferred many emotional and psychological needs that parents fulfill to her younger sibling. he became central to her very existence. he in turn brought all his emotions to her and gave it unstintingly, being a young boy then a younger brother before her eyes only... but what he lived by was not this love.

my belief, stung by his father's betrayal, and hastening to distance himself clearly and completely from such a man, he developed a strong sense of right and wrong, a moral code, around which grew his conscience. he lived by this. any dent in it, the slightest scratch, and he couldn't bear it. this conscience was also possibly a gift from his mother, she showed him its value by the sheer ethical way of life she adopted, i felt her hand in this conscience of his often. (toward the end of the show, when practically the whole story had been destroyed, i still felt with my heart and was so very proud, when he said what he did about his father. in no uncertain terms, objectively stating the case for what it was, he told his dadi, her son was at fault... galat. that was all there is to it. no one was to blame, not his mother, nor khushi's mother, just this one galat person.)

for him to feel he was ok, he had to be sure he wasn't galat. "main sahi hoon," he said that night in the rain, when his conscience pricked him, he laid his head back against his suv just as he did here, worried, tremulous, needing desperately to know he was not wrong. he waned to be nothing like his father. he perhaps feared that he might have some streak of his parent in him, who knows. which is why, there was no place for love in his life, for he'd seen how this could destroy. which is why also perhaps his level of comfort with the limits of the relationship with lavanya.

then that got complicated.

admitted it was his stubbornness which was responsible to some extent for the situation, but he still is unprepared for the repercussions. when la sneaks into his room, firstly he's too wrapped in a girl's dupatta, unable to extricate himself from the memories of their meetings; then la wants to get all cosy behind the family's back. unthinkable, in his eyes. asr is not sneaky. he has accepted his nani's decision they won't share rooms. la is welcome to come to his room before all, in broad daylight, but not like this. a sense of galat in it. and asr cannot have that.

just as he's trying to somehow handle this, in walks nani, and the arch conversation follows, addressed to lakshmiji but aimed straight at la. that too is disturbing. he is finding his nani's handling of the situation not what he expected it to be. he has seen her cope with tragedy magnificently. he has received her love and care when he most needed it. he knows what a strong and principled woman she is. he battled with her on a matter of principle, and maybe he thought she was resolved enough to know exactly how to manage this new situation.

but no. nani is upset. and while he may not agree with her, he really doesn't want to see her like this.

then there's his duty to la. what's he to do about that? not that la's attitude is helping, why come here now?

the poor man is not in a good place at all.

that is all that registered this episode with me. it was interesting to see, how barun sobti with just a couple of expressions and a few minutes, could convey so much. the look on his face as he heard his grandma's comments, then later the little conversation between her and la. the unhappy perusal
and slow walk up to the door toward nani; maybe he wants to say something, tell her off again, i thought. he merely looked at her and without a word shut the door. brilliant. my heart skipped a beat and i swear i felt his worry, his disturbance, his extreme vulnerability.

she turned away with an air of purpose. when he turned around, a tiredness on his face, a pulled down air about him, a quandary that's sucking him in. so so so not asr. i was sad.

the rest of the episode took the story forward, a rather forced yarn around the sacrilege of not bathing before puja was spun. a bit too much of "acting" everywhere. khushi is back and now shyam knows thaitt and is up to his usual galat deeds... disgusting, what's new. mami, even more campy than usual, tried to lighten the day, lavanya attempted to give her company. but all i saw was a man leaning against a door, eyes closed.

i realise, it has to all get pretty serious for di to plan khushi's return. and i do accept that family dramas often unfold around the silliest of things, and so won't crib about the bath story. of course, there's more to come. but what makes it imperative for khushi to return to asr's life is that scene in my head. he needs her... so i want her back. love, huh? 😆

👏 WOW as always Indi, your ability to just get into my man's head...i'm kinda jealous 🤣
Nice! loved the whole thing and those edits...you gave him a classy look...he is a man with a lots of class.
Lovely thoughts on why he is the way he is and the "sahi/galat". Agreed him mom must have alot to do with his consciousnesses. a BIG reason i believe he went back and and married Khushi that night, was his flashbacks to his mom teaching him about that flower.
agree with all in blue, ❤️ purple and mmmwaas on purple bold/underlined
Orange...awww
and in red, just a thought rang in, i know he is comfortable because she doesn't push him to "love" her but him seeing how hard she tries, and she has said she loves him a few time already, doesn't that scare him? that she'll one day want her share of loving?

Thank you🤗 for all the pink! LOVE and agree with all you said in blue up there and to answer in purple 😃

was he just tired of this internal struggle or was his subconscious just feeling a tenderness an emptiness even at the thought of letting her go.

you wouldn't be totally wrong that he could be just tired from his internal struggle, i guess for me his internal struggle and wanting to let her go are hand in hand.

do you think he kept them there or rahim chacha?

I believe it was him that put them there, Rahim chacha gave him just pearl in his hand, which he then held and felt so lovingly as "khushi" rolled off of his toungue. I believe before going to sleep that nigh, he secured them in a little box and put them with this personal belongings...awww
