in the main topic its TM who feels barun and ASR as similar...some fans may not feel...isn't it an individual choice...did anyone collectively told Barun and ASR are same or Barun and ASR are not the same..is it necessary all Barun's fans to have same thought..TM is just one of Barun's fans..

and even if someone told once Barun and ASR are not same today after this interview they got to know more about Barun's working behaviour and there they find similarities between BArun and ASR..so whats a big deal..is it wrong that now when they got to know about Barun better they realised that Barun's this quality is similar to ASR...seriously I do not understand your problem with this topic.

by stating barun and ASR are alike no one means to say every inch barun is like asr. By saying this i think here the beloved TM is trying to say both are self made people and their approach and honesty and loyalty towards work and their determination towards their profession, the way of making opinion fearlessly, etc. Again this depends a lot on how we perceive things, I understood what she tried to say and unfortunately people who disagree wants to have a fight.

thnx dear ... m saying to this person if u r nt agree with post ...stay away from it or if u hve to critisize Barun ...make new post bash him mecrilesly as these people r famous for it ...

i never mentioned in my post Barun has become ASR ... i found some elements in him like ASR ...so i find luv to share of this side of his personality ... no body knows any one in one day ...we hve not meet Barun . we r knowing him through his interview ...this side of i just found ... He is only Barun sobti but he has some elements in his personality like ASR ...

but some people r hving habit to find falut everthing related to barun ...so cant help it out ...

I don't think he is in TV industry for 5 years...may be i am wrong but it is never tooo late to show guts or stand up for your choices or speak for what u believe in as far as i think ...so anytime is better than nothing at all.

May be because we didn't take his interviews so seriously before IPK so don't know what he said in past or may be bacause he was never in a controversy before so didn't need to show his guts ...honestly have no idea .

There are still so many actors and their interviews come and go but we don't know what they are saying or have said in the past and same thing applies to someone else who is not following barun...so honestly don't know the answer to your question but rest (in bold ) i agree with completely :) ..

exactly ... recent i read somewhere about pravez rana who host emontial atachyar on bindass he also said he dnt like to work in indian tv soaps due to its hetic schedule and long duration ...yesterday on my local newspaper i read of somone random guy ...sorry i forgot his name ...becoz i did nt know him ... he also said same thing related to working schedule ... there r other actors also but no body question them on their statement or either their interview go unoticed ... Barun is on target on everything he said either he is popular ...or people hve grudge aganist him ...so his each statement become controversial for few people ...

You are right Parvez Rana told he will never say Yes to daily soaps due to horrible working hrs, infact he also said..daily soaps working hrs should improve, it was in TOI..SI once said in SBS, I clearly remember" Same role becomes monotonous after a yr, so everyone needs change"

I don't understand when same lines are said by Barun he is badly bashed and it become crime because it is coming from his mouth. Barun thank the writer for writing ASR..people don't see that. I will say, he took a very good stand and risk in life, at least he is not like other actors, doing same role yrs together just for money sake..Barun is Versatile and he believes in doing different role.He is honest and speak honestly.

Whole IPK team are just like family..heard DB interview, she is so lovely and cute, she is little upset( but natural) but whole heartedly took all bashing and smiling...not for a single time she bashed BS fans or said anything against BS or bout' 200 people..infact she said she is close to first name was Barun, SI, Karan, Akshay, Abhaas..IPK closure doesnot mean friendship gets ruin" I loved her interview..All BS haters Must watch and learn from her.

The ques is "Do you think TV is monotonous/ Dont they try any new things or challenges?"..
If they ask the ques to every TV actor they will say the same.
But here the ques is not that.He should be more careful in answering a ques..
He will be working in the same monotonous TV industry if he didnt get any movie offer..
When all he has to say is "I got a good movie offer.. so I took it"
It shows his poor PR skills and he needs to improve it..

sorry to butt in...but as its about TV industry i would like to share my view..

TV is actually monotonous.And there are very very less maker who tries new things and even if they try the TRP battle force them to change their vision.The example are shows like Kuch Toh log kahenge...IPK...Mukti BAndhan..and many more...I as a viewer have nothing to watch in hindi channels currently...nothing at all..but I want to watch something but nothing interests me..so there is a gap between a demand and supply

And Barun is not the only actor who have spoken about this TV industry's trends.I was reading Rohit Roy's interview who is a good actor who did mention that the type of role he is looking for he is not getting.Same with Rajeev Khandelwal.And this current TV industry scenario reminds me of time when Bollywood was all about Khans..silly romantic movie...Garden dance..Karan Johar's no acting movies...and when the movies was all about actors not characters...but now BW's concept has changed..it did not happened over night...now even small budget movies works unlike before...

with TV the viewers have already started rejecting the Saas Bahu drama and the long running shows..viewers have become vocal with their views and when TV has such a huge reach the creative makers also want to try their creativity with different type of shows...there was a time when YRF rishta.com did not get good TRPs but I am sure if that show comes now people will accept that concept...infact now viewers wants season ...and its not necessary every show in future will be the same concept based...

and Barun did not say TV is monotonous he told a show which continues for years and when a character has nothing different after months then it becomes monotonous which is true.There was a time when people used to say same thing for Arnav character...infact people used to criticise his character but now the same group of people is not ready to accept when the actor says it..i am not pointing this at you..i m saying this in general.

I remember Barun saying once in an interview that if he would not have loved his character then no one would have loved...the point i want to make is the makers should consider the actor's,the director's satisfaction also...there is no point running a show with same character for years just to have revenue..but its also true that the makers need to invest much much more effort,time and money to make a creative,short and good show..and its comparatively easy to make a show and run it for years.

If you havent read barun's interview plz read it fully..he said that sometimes they needs to do some unrealistic scenes in TV which happens in all the TV soaps.I agree to that.It happens.
When interviewer ask about whether its TV or Movie..Its better if he can simply say like..Its all about acting for me..He will be doing the same unreal TV show if he didnt get any movie offer..
He really needs to improve his PR..If he cant give a good interview its better to let my work speak rather than words..

Just because he criticised TV system doesnt mean the entire system will change..Being a celebrity they should be open to negative criticism too..I am sure barun can handle negative criticism...but not his fans..Anyways I had some fun..I dont basically believe in the concept of fans at all..They are just entertainers..But I like Sanaya just for her intelligence..

I am so happy cathu as your thread went well without any verbal bombastic explosions. No one bashed each other, it was a healthy discussion in this thread. Thanx a lot dear for giving such a nice thread and maintaining it very well. I am proud of every members who participated in this and conducted the discussion in a nicer way, even though there were differences.
