Great post, SMJ a mystery and yet not a mystery, a man who had everything, a wife that loved him unconditionally, in laws that respected him, listened to him and his council, he really had a honeyed tongue, he had it made and he wud have had an easy life which he could have sailed through had he not met a certain person named Khushi which he turned into his obsession in trying to have her for himself.

He had a heroes entry into the show whereas the lead had a villains entry, and slowly slowly that started changing, wat a contrast to where they started to where they ended, wat a character devolution it was and portrayed well.

It was him that put Khushi back into ASRs path or he helped destiny along to a start of a beautiful love story which had him as an antagonist but also a catalyst. The story he helped to weave had everything starting from pain, hurt, anger, evolving and growing and nurturing into love and he was a catalyst in the relationship of ASR Khushi for a long time. His actions usually ended up bringing the leads closer and not further apart, his each failure feeding his obsession to have wat he wanted which no one else had the right to have and as we saw he was prepared to go to any lengths to achieve that desire.

Well said Sarra 👍🏼
Each & every action of his has resulted in Arshi getting closer, he was definitely the cupid for their love story 😆

Nice Post...

He is a sweet candy mouthed person with darkness inside. A talented person who can always get things done in his favor and run away from the place without exhibiting a single trace of him...

Meenu - Take a bow lady - 👏 wonderful analysis on Shyam😃

@ blue ...This never struck me earlier you know... All three.. Khushi, Shyam and NK were Salmaan fans !!...😆

Wonderful Meenu ( 😉 ), very well written... I loved his entry, it was fabulous. honestly, it was difficult to believe his intentions first. he seemed like a decent guy whereas the hero was the dark character. eventually when his true face was revealed it showed how cruel he could be to reach his goal...

although his revelation was not that good. I wanted him to depart the way he entered... should have been something special. anyway it was good though to revisit it again.

BTW, great title indeed. for a lighter one "Snekwa - the Knight"...missing Bush's vm specially dedicated to snekwa

Exactly Fate, how much he changed over the course of IPK. If Arnav's character went from being dark to good, Shyam's character started from being shown good, went to grey & became black in the end.

Truly, an epic character of IPK. Wish they had given a proper end to his character. The end of SMJ was not fitting enough for the character whom we hated through the course of IPK 😭

He was such a smooth talker, Vidya. He got what he wanted by smooth talking & put ideas in the others' mind, so that fingers are never pointed towards him.

Meenu, fantastic post of man we loved to hate.

Agree with Sarra and Shilpa, the hero had the villain's entry and the villain the hero's - hats off to the makers of the show for this.

Shyam was indeed the catalyst in the Arhi relationship.

From getting her a job in AD designs - which led to a lot, to suggesting La move into RM - which led to everything... he helped them along every time. He caused the first hug by putting Shashi in hospital and got them to the ILU stage by kidnapping ASR... gosh he was busy throughout..

Have to say, Abhas did a great job.

He is a villain who everyone would love to hate ..all credits to the writers and AM for awesomely bringing that black white aura ...one second you could see him planning to murder his wife and the next honey talk to her.. I couldnot stop applauding him for how he pulled the wool over ASR and Nani. There were many circumstances when he was about to get caught but managed it yet again.

Coming to kushi ..I have always appreciated to see her not falling for his charm...she knew his caring nature she considered him as her friend but never felt like accepting him as her husband...WHY? He was the perfect hubby material! But still she fell for ASR the person who pushed her ..shoved her...insulted her! Such is the game of DM...she never would let her greatest devotee fall for a person not her worth!

Bringing ASR and Kushi together the catalyst may be SMJ but full credit goes to DM at work...the divine intervention at bringing them together was always there. SMJ ended up being a person who amused us while failing in many of his attempts!

Also...no one could see through his real intentions unless they faced his real dark side. Sashiji as a responsible father of 2 young daughters wanted to know more about this man as in a stranger who had started to live with them and found his real lies. But he was too old for this dark knight and fell apart for his trick.
