Arnav Singh Raizada (also known as ASR)


and a chirpy, happy go lucky girl Khushi Kumari Gupta


payal's in laws ask for dowry and to settle matters with payal's fiance abhishek, khushi goes to seesh mahal.meanwhile arnav has bought the seesh mahal and a fashion show is going on.khushi is mistaken for a model and forced to go on the stage.she trips and arnav catches her
sparks flew when they first met

locks her up in a room and interrogates her, even though she begs him to let her go. Because Khushi is late, Payal's wedding is cancelled.

fate again brings them together at the dargah



they have an argument. Khushi, Payal and Madhumati(Buaji) are forced to move to Delhi because of Arnav, as he had humiliated Khushi publicly in Lucknow's news channels in order to take revenge for her ruining his fashion show.

khushi finds a job at delhi with the help of shyam who starts living with them as PG and soon realises that her boss is none other than Arnav Singh Raizada
they have an argument after which they sign a contract which states that Khushi will do every task Arnav hands her, otherwise she'll have to pay 1 lakh to him. Arnav gives challenging tasks to khushi which,to his astonishment, she accomplishes .Sim,Pam and lavanya put khushi into trouble by spoiling the model's fur coat.the model creates a scene and leaves.a furious Arnav asks khushi to wear a short dress and complete the photo-shoot but she instead come sout wearing a red sari and we get the first rabba ve

khushi wanted to go home early as it was payal's birthday but arnav makes her stand in the rain at the car parking.
khushi was about to be run over by a car but arnav saves her

next day Khushi goes to Shantivan to give the file to Arnav. She realizes she has been there before when she came to sell sarees.Nani asks about Arnav and Khushi tells nani about lavanya
.Arnav gets angry and sends khushi to work from the guest house.he is not aware that the guest house is in such a bad state.khushi gets trapped and arnav saves her



next day khushi gives her resignation and shouts at arnav in front of his family.
Arnav feels bad about hurting khushi
Teej arrives and Buaji asks Payal and Khushi to fast. khushi faints and arnav unintentionally breaks her fast

financial trouble looms over the guptas and they decide to go back to lucknow.khushi comes to AR to get her devi maiyya idol and gets trapped with arnav in the store room. she tells him he should be happy that now she is going to lucknow

khushi gets an idea of starting a sweet business and so the guptas do not go back to lucknow.khushi is shocked to know that her first customer is none other than ASR.she goes to shantivan and arnav is surprised to find her in his cupboard
khushi accidentally leaves her payal and Arnav keeps it with other things of khushi he collectd
manorama mami ruins khushi's sweets and so khushi doesnt get any money for the sweets
anjali blackmails khushi to train lavanya at Shantivan as the 1 lakh contract is pending.khushi comes to know of Arnav and La's live-in relationship

lavanya and khushi soon become best friends.
on the day of arnav's parents' death anniversary khushi tries to calm arnav by saying she understands what he is going through.Arnav gets really angry and shouts at khushi.later he comes to know from anjali that khushi is also an orphan and regretts shouting at her.he first practices to say sorry

khushi tells him about her past and arnav apologises to her

khushi realizes when she is close to arnav her heartbeat increases.thus starts the silsila of dhak dhak


the festive season has started with kanya pujan
next day,arnav is bot feeling well and faints due to low sugar levels and khushi feeds him jalebis

later she apologizes to him and makes him laugh by rubbing besan all over her face

arnav and lavanya had to go for a meeting in nainital but lavanya has allergies on her face when she got back from the spa.arnav gets angry and decides to go alone.meanwhile khushi had removed some petrol from arnav's car to make la and arnav's journey romantic.while putting a box of pakoras in the car khushi hits her head somewhere and is trapped in the back of the car.
arnav finds khushi midway and so they both head towards nainital and we get an awesome nainital trip

meanwhile sashi sees shyam's true face.he goes back home to reveal the truth but no one is home.shyam reaches there and attempts to kill sashi.sashi gets a paralyze attack and is admited in the hospital.khushi reaches the hospital and is heartbroken.she hugs arnav


arnav helps khushi by paying the hospital bills.
diwali preparations start at RM and romance starts to bloom between arnav and khushi

and then finally comes Diwali
khushi accidently gets lavanya's saree(red'that is Arnav's favourite colour)
arnav stares at khushi, The awkwardness between them but yet the feeling of belonging, the confusion accompanying the need, the way he walks towards her, her sharp breathing, the passion in their eyes, their unsaid feelings
jadoo hai nasha hai playing in the background


both are brought back to reality when arnav's phone rings(every arshi fan cursing the phone).arnav is angry why did he do that and does the unexpected- announces his engagement with lavanya.khushi is heart broken and gives in to get married to shyam on being forced by the family
