Ok many members here will vouch I am a bollywood doofus and hardly have much knowledge and dependent on the smarter ones for information

So just want to know if the production house BS has signed up with for his next movie is in the lines of say Spielberg/ Cameron /Tarantino Meaning is this Mitali Ghosh person equivalent of say Karan Johar or Yash Chopra or whoever produced Lagaan

So is it the same person who produced an Oscar Nominated Movie who has signed him up or what?

I read a post that he has become the stuff Bollywood dreams off and ergo was being courted left right and center and so many channels after him and so was wondering if Bollywood production houses are also queuing up in the same way? I find so much of what is being written here in IF pointing to the direction that he has become the next best thing nay the best thing before sliced bread and how Bollywood is dying to see him One post even suggested his role as ASR made Bollywood sit up and take notice of him so am wondering did they come to him or did he go to them?

Forgive me I do get confused by the adulation and hysteria here in IF with the real world and often find there is no match

Dear, you have got it all wrong.

Simple people have simple dreams. Humble people have humble ambitions. Can't you see as much from the interviews?

I request you see he is doing us all a social service. Why do you sound so upset and confused dear? Don't be, it will morally degrade you as a person. No questions, no what ifs, not opinions allowed. Only blind faith will serve you. We will conquer it all. And then it will be in the face of you bashers.

I can happily cite an example from my own life -

Today I spend approx 6 hours chatting with my friends at home on causal topics & then the concept of watching serials came about. So like a normal IPK fan I mentioned IPK with alot of excitement guess what they did not even know such a show existed they have only heard the name of it very vaguely & wondered how how come I knew about it at all ?? I told them about my hatred towards Anjali that is how the topic of serials come about in the first place via marriages & future life directions. I told them about Barun & Sanaya they never knew either. At the most they saw a pic of Sanaya that is about it. They sounded completely blank about this.So I had to shift the topic to else where.

When I go on bus rides to reach my destinations for the day no one knows about IPK or the ridiculous & unhealthy craze over Barun Sobti. They are just bothered about whether they will reach home safely, salary issues, holidays, deadlines to be met extra. They now about the basic stuff that so & so movie will release with respect to their children & social circle. No one even knows the actress opposite whom Baru Sobti is acting with.

So both the age groups teens - working section are not aware of IPK so forget about Barun Sobti.

I completely fail to understand why is Barun Sobti who is unknown to the world outside IF so much of a BIG deal ??

I googled it but I never found nothing interesting really😕.

Anyway speilberg, Tarantino are a class apart same as Johar and Chopra.

My mama always used to say: "Follow fashion monkey neva boil good soup yet" meaning..., The copy cat will never be as good as the real thing.

So look out for belly ache and bed rest.

Anyway enough of my rambling, I am getting serious now😆

Let's look at the upside...,if there is.

We now know about Midaas Film and Mitali Ghosh because of Sobti hysteria but in reality it should be the other way around init?

When an actor/actress is approached by the Speilberg, Tarantino, Johar and Chopra of the movie circle it is a big thing init?

It means the important people have stopped and recognized some pure talent.

Not when an actor/actress go hunting for a PH...,Is that the case here?

Who is riding whose cloak tail?

Time will tell

Okay I am not bashing anyone but...,

"The higher a monkey climbs the more him get exposed"..., meaning those who make it to the top are more likely to be watched and criticized.

Comparing Barun Sobti with Aamir Khan. Fairy, you are going to make a lot of people on this forum happy today!

I don't get the adulation honestly. I remember 12 years ago when I woke up at 3am to see Hrithik Roshan's wedding pics .. and had a huge poster of his in my room .. and spoke about him 24X7 .. but then he started choosing flop movies and I bashed him. I mean why do people blindly love an actor, I fail to understand.

What does Barun have. . looks? Yes, he did look hot before he signed MAMR .. but after that he didn't even bother to shave or cut his hair and look good. Acting skills? Yes, when the direction, editing and/or script is strong. What am I missing .. why don't I see what the majority of the forum sees in Barun? I do see however plenty of reasons why he might fail .. he doesn't have the personality that fits BW. Every time he opens his mouth, he says something wrong he shouldn't say. And worse he is too arrogant for someone who only has a B-grade movie.

I googled for the name Mitali Ghosh .. nothing came up related to Bollywood .. so I guess the answer is no. This is also another low budget movie, that is going to rely on Barun's fame as ASR.

That said, I wish him all the success in BW. I know for sure if I do watch a movie of his, it won't be for him! But then again he doesn't need me .. he has "millions" of fans whose hearts are touched by his hurt, his pain and his love!

Its too early to predict how BS will fare in bollywood, but there's no escaping the truth that not many telly actors have made it big in b-town with the exception of SRK...its the Ipk fiasco that probably earned him so much publicity, but is it enough to sustain his bollywood dreams, i don't think so...

My pet hamster has also been swamped with offers as all the current BW heart throbs have gone into retirement for fear of been ousted out of the industry by all sorts of upcoming creatures into the industry, including my hamster...
