Totally agree with you. And I felt the same , if the cvs knew barun wants to leave why the dadi track , Sheetal track ... They could've focused not just arnav and khushi but also other characters they had. They had time to close the loops. It seemed like they were not the same creatives who had created arnav and khushi , to an extent it was true too and that was the reason for character assassination.

Dr-ji, you made a post! 😲

I basically agree with everything you said. Khushi's character is what appealed to me in the beginning too; I liked her from the get-go and never really looked back, despite the wardrobe atrocities and sometimes nonsensical antics. ASR, however, took some warming up to. I'm not sure if it was bad acting, audio-dubbing or a combination of a few things, but neither the actor nor the character impressed me until I saw his interaction with Anjali, which finally seemed to give him some depth beyond the woodenness of being a khadoos LG. (I actually rolled my eyes when they did that 'grand' helicopter entry for ASR...and it was a bit of a let-down when he first spoke and all I heard was a quiet voice/not the deep commanding one I was expecting...)

I've watched a lot of tv in my life and it always gets me that even when I passively watch IPK, I can't help but notice the sparks flying and the obvious effect it has on me as well. Granted, any decent actor can portray well-conceived characters/material, but you can't take away the individual and unique touches each person brings to their role. Arnav-Khushi's jodi/appeal was because of the talent of many people, most apparently the actors along with the writers, directors, producers, etc. Breathing life into the characters and the story was no small feat and they all deserve their due for creating such memorable personas and making IPK a success.

Nonasiji you commented on my post .* someone pinch me * I feel honored.
I'm not very good at penning down my thoughts dear , I'm not satisfied completely with my post. And that's the reason I don't make too many posts. Wanted to say a lot but I guess I couldn't write it better than this.
As usual a very well written comment by you.
And yes ma'am in short that's what I wanted to convey too that it's a team effort. You cannot take away anyone's credit from there. Neither the creatives nor the actors. Not everyone can create such love stories and characters , at the same time anyone can act it , but not everyone can actually bring it to life or make us feel those emotions thru our TV screens.

Aap bhi na! I'm honoured that you're honoured! 😳

I know what you mean; it takes me a while to write out my thoughts satisfactorily (being coherent and concise is not my forte; I always feel like I've forgotten something), but I really think you covered your perspective thoroughly. Don't sell yourself short! It's hard to sum up the last year and half as well as you did. 😊

(Exactly! It's a team effort! Dekho, 2 simple words cover it all...*sigh*)

.Even if the show was about Arnav ( and I guess thats why Khushi's pain was never focused ) but still for me Khushi was and will always be the central point of the show. She made him say sorry for the first time , she made him say Happy birthday for the first time, she made him dance , she made him love someone , she made him forget his past ...and not to forget it was the character Khushi that made me like ASR in the beginning too. It was khushi all the way for me ... There would've been no ASR without khushi even if he got out of the helicopter or he was a millionaire or whatever ...

Again to my point of character , ASR didn't appeal me at first ... I started liking ASR after quite a few episodes , when I started seeing that change in Barun's expressions, dialogue delivery and some minor other things ... So i definitely would give Barun the credit for that, he did bring the character to life , at least for me..

agree😉

I think no other actor could have done ASR's charcater better than Barun.
