CHAPTER TWO: THE RETURN OF A FRIEND
****CHALO MAIYA KE BHAVAN BHAVAN BHAVAN****
"KYA HUA DEVI MAIYAA?" Khushi's eyes flew open at the sudden ringing of her phone call and she sprung her body out of bed, only to kick a moody, sleepy Arnav very hard in the knee.
"WHAT THE. KHUSHI. PICK UP YOUR DAMN PHONE."
"Ji.ji. ji. Arnav Ji." Khushi ran to her cell and was surprised to see a call from an unsaved number.
"Unknown caller? Aur woh bhi subah ke itni jaldi? Yeh kaun ho sakta hai?"
Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud roaring from Arnav. "KHUSHI. I AM TRYING TO SLEEP. COULD YOU ATTEND TO THIS ELSEWHERE PLEASE"
Khushi grabbed her dupatta and scampered out of the room with her phone, muttering "Laad Governor" just loud enough so Arnav could hear as she slammed the door behind her.
"Hullo? Kaun bolra hai?" Khushi could not helpbut sound a little irritated while attending the call.
"Chamkili?"
Khushi froze at the sound of the familiar voice. It had been ages since she had last heard that nickname of hers. Excitement began to spread through her entire body and she forgot the agitation she had been feeling.
"LAVANYA JI. AAP? AAP DELHI MEIN HAI KYA?"
There was a silence on the other line.
"Chamkili. Mein shaadi kar rahi hoon. Om Chaterjee se. I need to see you. Kab mil sakti ho?"
