When did the show fall off?

In my humble opinion here is when/how the "show jumped shark" as they say in the US:

the complete lack of emotion and trauma after Anjali loses her child. this was a time to show the strength of the characters/writing - this is not something that someone just 'gets over' by telling their little brother to get married. yes no one likes to dwell on misery, but for such a close knit family - that too in India - calls for a Pause
yes Arshi's love conquers all, but the "forgiveness" during the wedding and then complete disappearing act of Gupta family - too convenient. would have been a great oppurtunity to break conflict and tension into the story - capture family values and bonds. Love has so many forms - not just the hubby/wifey types
notwithstanding 2 above - lack of "newlywed" track - for actors with such intense chemistry - total let down
rushing of Shyam's departure - again not much trauma to Anjali. they could have really built on the relationships between the women of the house - let the men go to work (for a change!!!) and build on Aakash/Paayal and NK's lives..Barun could have taken a break then - maybe taken Anjali on some tirhyhatra or rehab to recover
Mrs. India track - the lamest of all - cannot even begin how pathetic it was
Sheetal/Aarav track - had potential - but again another sign of trouble brewing

In the end it is commendable how the seasoned and talented actors pulled through. Pity the show that could have been a hallmark/classic ended up with such bizarre circumstances and gained notreity for all the wrong reasons. watching all the SBB/SBS videos and the treasure of VMs on Youtube, it is amazing how much passion fans had for this show. Alas!!...

for me, when arnav accused shyam and threw him out immedietly after the kidnapping track was the point when it started going south.

i mean, how can they show that ? before entering the house he asked her for the proofs to her claims. viewers are kept in dark abt her answer.

and then they come in and start accusing shyam. and it turns out that she has no proof. and there, arnav is shown all astonished and then he trusts khushi and throws shyam out without taking anjali in confidence.

i mean, what the... ?

so shd we assume here that after asking khushi for proofs outside the door, he suddenly , without waiting for her answer, changed his mind abt the proofs ?

he knows how much his drama queen sister worships her husband. he didn't feel it necessary to take her in confidence while throwing her husband out ? he didn't feel it necessary to break her trust in shyam first ?

it was a stupid and impulsive thing to do for a business tycoon who claims to be " shaatir ". or shd we assume that arnav's brain works only when it comes to khushi's manipulation or blackmailing her ?

and then after few days, came the " get khushi back to rm " track.

i tell u, i am a feminist and this track gave me such pain. the way he blackmailed and manipulated her instead of being grateful and wooing her properly , the way her self respect was shreded to pieces was so painful to watch ... the cvs might hv thought the track funny, but for me it was the most revolting and disgusting week in the history of ipkknd.

so for me, ipk started its downward journey frm shyam getting thrown out for the first time.

since then, good episodes kept comming in between, beautiful arshi moments were there. the remarriage, i mean the actual wedding sequence was beautiful mainly bcoz of the looks of the lead pair. ( all arshi remarriage rituals were tainted by anjali and dadi. ), but the charm of the story exited the show along with shyam.

After holi episodes, it all went haywire except here and there some good episodes, but after holi the story was hurried a lot.

Right after ArShi wedding. Shyam's character should not have been shut down so quickly. His character had a lot of potentials and was wasted. After his exposure there was absolutely no story to tell.

1) Barun in Forum 32 interview with Gul said his contract was upto Feb. 2012.

2) In April 2012 I understand Barun got offer for MAMR movie and then the PH allowed Barun to take leave and do the movie

3) PH should have geared up and should have accordingly arranged the story line to close all loose ends by Sept. 2012.

4) I see from the posts that Majority of the IPK fans want SARUN ( 😊) and I also want SARUN and not prepared for the main lead to be substituted by SANAYA-VIRAF, SANAYA-RAJEEV KHANDELWAL etc.

Bearing these critical points in mind, which PH knew...a good story line should have been developed but instead the show jumped sharks and we got crap but SARUN chemistry kept us with the show :

1) After hate marriage and holi track...MU dragged too much say feb----jul,y, MU could have been cleared by beginning of April..we were made to believe that MU must take 6 months to finish and cannot be done with before 6 months, I could not digest it.

2) To accommodate Barun's absence May-June...kidnapping track was made but I felt it could have ended in first week of June and ASR absence could have been shown as his business travel...during his absence for 3 weeks of June.

3)July we got DIDI Ki SAUT and I felt it was the most horrible thing happened to me as am IPK fan and I detest it till now.

3) As pointed out by a member above Office Comedy track and Arnav black mailing Khushi was pathetic, yes was in a very bad taste...showing gender bias.

4) I could not connect myself to Sheetal and Mrs India tracks

The above tracks could have been replaced by proper redemption track, honeymoon track and Arhi managing their family with a kid of their own...and a proper happy ending..in Nov/Dec ..with SARUN and not ending with BD's or separate SARUN frames.

In a nut-shell...PH failed to give us proper tracks from April...Nov.. for sure as agreed by most of us.
