The UK event is an SP Production, they would never want to disappoint their viewers and face their wrath...Hence chose to keep mum, or misguide others about it

Why act against the PH when the Channel is at fault? Seriously Copyrights issue as an excuse by the channel, you can figure out from that how big a game is being played
