He was the burning flame, of a fire ignited
When they met, memories engulfed, coursing the paths
Hues were painted, strokes were re - touched, verses were recited
They tried to teach other much, laments that were laced in regret
He needed love, and forgiveness, since abandoned
She hid from the world, lost in her own ignorance, since birth
But the fates, had something else written for them
When the amber's of the past arose, taunting the today
They fell bitterly, without a cause, in the shimmer of glistening midnight's
Revenge was a seed bred through indifference
Love knocked on their door, waiting patiently
But, they never came, never, trapped in the depths of despair
Losing themselves in the haze of lies, trying to find what was never lost
Time became the constricting ally, leading to paths unknown
Misery loved them, like her own, cradling their sorrows
But the envy of the future was not for them, fading into dark abyss
They crashed and burned, in the fire of their own, fighting what was never there

I wrote this poem, with Arnav and Khushi in mind. Hence it is only fair, that i post it here. I found this in a old folder, while i was rummaging for some notes... At first, i thought to delete it, but then i saved it. This is very old, i wrote this when the whole contract marriage thing was announced...
I hope you like it :)
