Agree ... nt all tv actors hv succeeded in bollywood ... rajeev khandelwal had a story where he was d sole hero n d big banner so it workd bt other than dat soundtrack ws aso gud bt othr films did nt really work ... n v hardly see him

Prachi Desai ... even aftr workng wid excel films n farhan akhtar ... se is hardly seen ... one upon time in mumbai ( godmother Ekta Kapoor's film ) n then bol bachchan

There hv been many actors tryng their luck in films bt as mentnd SRK n VB hv been successful ...

It is nt easy 2 be successful in bollywood n get fame as in television

But All d Best 2 him for future n hope he succeeds in watever he does :)

Everyone's destiny is different and we don't know what's in store for the actor and his career.

That being said, I want to wish him luck, but as a disappointed fan of the character A.S.R, a character that means so much to so many people, I can't on principle.

A seemingly careless decision has been made, he doesn't seem to grasp the impact of his action on the screenplay. If he leaves for two months or even if he doesn't return it seems to be of no consequence to him anymore, the fans are yet again short-changed whichever way we look at it.

I hope he doesn't become over-confident and ruins his chances of a career in the industry, before it has been realized, since we know that fans and the media can make or break a person who is in the public eye, and all this negative publicity right now isn't good for him in the long-run.

I don't know about Bollywood, so I can't really comment, but reading the various opinions, I think he should tread carefully, and be clear to his loyal fans or those same ones will turn back on him.

The magic of Sarun is being forgotten by producers of big film industry, as the focus shifted to Barun. And we viewers are left feeling very confused.

I kind of agree about the career thing as the show was on a decline. But there's a right way to leave and a wrong way. Regardless of the reason of him leaving, something tells me that even he probably didn't want to leave like this - in a messy, unpleasantly shocking way with bad fallout. From what I'm reading SP operators are blatantly saying he's leaving to focus on his movie career - has 3 offers. Whether that's true or not, it's obvious he'll be the sacrificial lamb in all this because no TV actor is above the PH and channel and they won't admit culpability (if there is any). I'm pretty sure that discussing possible leave to promote his movie in Dec or Jan other movie offers led to this leaving business after putting his notice papers in. Viewers are peeved by what's seen as betrayal of a show they invested in because the news came in such a nasty way with people blatantly saying nothing of the sort was going to happen. The same viewers who you want in a good mood to go and pay to watch your movie...😉

Most people are fickle in their adulation and move onto the latest, newest, bright young thing. We'll see how it impacts his movie career over the coming months I guess...Shame if things have screwed up for him - he seems like a decent enough guy :-( I will miss him as ASR - he was awesome!

Ideally everyone should have been transparent about this, instead of covering it up because of the upcoming UK event. People would have been upset, but would be happy that the show could end with the original cast, giving it a brilliant finale...oh well.

So, Barun has no intention of coming back? Fine, why go pussy-footing around this quitting issue and not come out clean. Anyway, in regards to his career he has taken the correct route and I wish him well.
My only gripe is, the international fame of Sarun is being forgotten in the midst of it all. The focus has shifted to Barun, his increasing fame, his acting calibre etc.
The Sarun magic was so profound, and we anticipate films of them working together. What happened to all that. Honestly, I am not interested in Barun's individual career. Out of sight, out of mind for me.
I am only interested in Sarun, the pairing and nothing else.
