Forming groups and bonding for a common cause is one of the oldest trait which we have imbibed from our ancestors..this is how we are and will always be...Regionalism, religion,culture etc are bonding factors in real world but in virtual If world it is characters/actors and other things of interest...

I am not at all into character or actor based obsession but I do admit that i interact more with people with whom i can have a sane discussion the POV may differ...I am biased in this case

Swami track was my 1st episode of IPK..my curiosity to know the story increased when they showed flashbacks of their wedding and some romantic moments.

Then I started watching all the episodes from day 1...I had never thought a daily soap could be so addictive..i finished the 200 odd episodes in a week..

And I fell in love with the show..the magical couple Arnav and khushi and the actors Barun and Sanaya..

Some comment on YouTube had mentioned some spoiler from mishti and that led me to IF..

Initially i was a silent observer, eventually found a group of like minded people who according to me have objective views and truely love the show.

I personally am a fan of the couple and think that they both are good actors and have been doing justice to their respective roles.

Groupism definitely exists cause there are some who identify with Arnav and some with Khushi.

I prefer to stand by the character which is right. I choose to keep my opinions unbiased. So there a times I am a Khushi supporter and there are times when my vote goes out to Arnav.

The characterisation is such and the story has been woven in manner that I invariably tend to empathise with Khushi.

True that Harshu.. I was/am/will be a Sarun admirer and loved the show to bits for what it was till the hate wedding. That's when the forum divided itself.. It became Sanaya or Barun fans..You had to choose posts to reply and be careful with what you said lest it was taken as bashing.

I admire Sarun and love them. Why this division i wonder? Is it the story that has to be blamed totally for this? Gul has a lot to answer for the chaos she created with the story.

There are many who have even stopped being active due to this groupism.. We have to resort to our respective threads to share opinions (which i find good anyway). But this wasn't the case before where one participated in all threads and the forum was at peace.

I donno whom to blame for this kind of groupism? the show or the fans? or both? 😕

I was thinking the same and also have thought the title of the post to be "How IPK forum looks to an outsider."

Here goes my experience..

I joined IF last year to know the written updates when I missed watching the show due to my work.But was never active in this forum.I became regular to this forum since 2 months(when Arnav came to know about Garima's truth).At that time it was all ASR/Arnav bashing..some defending and all negativity in forum.Honeslt speaking I did not like this forum.Because as a new person who do not know whats going in this forum it gives a wrong impression of IPK's story.I was following IPK so I knew whats going in the show but for someone who do not follow the show and if he/she visits this forum they will never like to watch this show.

Then comes Barun's leaving news.And then I started going deeper and found that actually the forum is divided into 2 groups(only Barun's fan and only Sanaya's fan).People mix character with an actor due to their liking towards individual actor.I was in illusion that people states their opinion irrespective of their personal liking.But no,people interprets what they want to,they interpret what goes against the actor they don't like.I thought that this forum has young and mature people but I was wrong(Trust me I have really gone deep,invested my some very valuable time). And the biggest example is they believe what they think is right.They believe that the one they like is perfect and the other one is not.

And I must say that there are actually 2 groups who can't stand each other.I tried making some points but later on realised that its a waste.Its their pre-conceived notion.People have fixed their liking towards a particular actor and dis liking towards the other.I have taken this as a fact and accepted that.

So,being a SaRun fan(will prefer admirer) it always hurts to see posts bashing on any of them.And it hurts more because unfortunately you love both the actors and you can't see either of them getting bashed.But I have learnt or still learning to ignore those posts.

And with so many posts today on Barun's leaving I am again ready to bear the next inning.

Edit:-sometimes I feel some people are so crazy for their fav actors that they forget the human inside them.They fail to face the reality of today's lives.They fail to connect any situation to practicality of life.

I heard right somewhere love makes you blind.But here it makes you inhuman also.

Being a woman I relate to Khushi, started watching IPKKND because of this character.

Barun & Sanaya as individuals don't interest me as much as the characters they play onscreen.
