Okay guys, I've had enough. I don't often venture into the main forum to write but I'm reading so much about Arnav dying that I can't help but point out the flaws in this theory. Some of this post will be what I wrote in Adda yesterday but I don't have enough time to write something brand new. I have added things to this, however.
People got worried over Arnav talking about death in Saturday's epi - where many seem to think that it indicates his death is coming, I think it was just to highlight that he doesn't believe fasting will change the time when he dies as he doesn't believe in any of that stuff. I guess his mum used to fast for his dad & look what happened there. Today, he gave Khushi her own business for her to stand on her own two feet should he not be there to provide for her. Tell me, doesn't every husband do the same i.e. ensure they have left something to keep their families going should anything happen to them? It's what a caring husband should do.
Khushi has suffered a lot in her life - she was orphaned at the age of 8, which must have been an awful experience for her. As well as that, we have seen the amount of times Arnav has hurt her and brought her pain - if he dies then what message will that portray? That Khushi has no shot at happiness because she was never destined to be happy? She ends up losing everyone she cares about? Khushi has sacrificed herself more times than I can count for others & now the only happiness she has for herself, Arnav, will be taken from her as well? Is this what Star Plus preach about, a new way of thinking; let the woman suffer because she always has. More than sadness at Arnav dying I will be saddened to see the impact his death will have on Khushi. She's living on a knife edge right now, the demons of Arnav's past haunting her. All she needs is a slight nudge and that's it. A woman who has seen so much pain and has survived through it all will be brought more pain, enough pain to push her over the edge. If this happens, this just shows what sadists the CVs are.
Whenever the CVs get feedback the audience say they want more ArHi; so what is there to show if they kill off Arnav? The whole show surrounds the theme that destiny has brought two polar opposite individuals together - it doesn't mean that as soon as they get together one will die. It also doesn't mean that they will follow in their parents' footsteps and leave orphaned children behind. I think this is an over-analysis.
Every IPK fan's heart will break if they kill Arnav. If Arnav was meant to die in an accident it would've happened on his wedding day. So the only other way they'd show his death would be murder, possibly by Shyam. But doesn't this completely go against SP's 'nayi soch'? Evil winning over good, have SP ever allowed that to be shown? Even if the CVs wanted to show this SP wouldn't allow it. SP want to keep revenue of their international number 1 show up. If they kill off a lead they will lose a tonne of money by viewers that pay subscription fees for SP. It won't happen. Plus, we feared the same thing with Heer-Ranjha. But that episode clarified that without Arnav, there is no Khushi and vice versa.
If that wasn't enough to convince you guys, the final dialogue Arnav spoke on Saturday should. As I said on Adda on Saturday, Arnav has realised what his responsibilities as a husband are; he knows that he has to take care of Khushi in all aspects of her life. So from what he's done for her, he is ensuring that no matter what happens with them in the future, he will always take care of Khushi. Please, don't over think things. The CVs sometimes put hints into the story of things that aren't actually going to happen; it's all done to build suspense. Rather than death, I see perhaps a long separation coming. The words he spoke may also work in that situation.
