I am really in the minority here for wanting a mature love story where separation does not make any sense to me. For all those wanting the "intensity" back are forgetting that the couple is very much in love. The ASR who was pre-Khushi was an a-hole! the wall pinning, shoving, pushing all that has absolutely no place in their lives anymore. Is that how intensity is defined? If everyone wants the show to be back to the "hate" phase, why get the leads married in the first place? To me, it just does not make any sense. ASR is a changed man, just because the makers don't know what to show next, they want to travel back in time and make him a douche again? I also don't believe in karma playing tit for tat. Yes, there is karma but I don't think it works by exactly replicating the circumstances 😕 for me, ASR has more than redeemed himself, so I don't understand this point of turning the tables so he can feel exactly what Khushi felt. Aren't they both above that already? And no I am not saying that because I am an ASR phanka, those who know me, know very well that I have always been a bit biased towards Khushi but what's right is right. I watch it for the couple and to have this stupid, ridicuous, mind numbing, coma inducing, illogical, dragging, cringe worthy misunderstanding is completely beyond my comprehension. Not to mention this track reeks of regressive thinking 🤢
The Shyam misunderstanding worked because all along as viewers we knew what the game plan was, we knew it was a misunderstanding in ASR's mind. This, we don't know! and it seems like the makers are willingly keeping it that way. Viewers can infer a lot of things but the inference can be thrown out the window anytime. There is no in-the-face plan here. What is in the face is the evidence that you see - Aarav is Arnav's son. I can tell myself to have "faith" (scoff! bullshit) but why should I resort to that? I didn't have to keep faith before, I KNEW what ASR saw was not the actual story. Here I don't! so as a lay viewer what are my options:
1. Have "blind faith" that this is all a plan and in the end all will be well and if it doesn't turn out well, cry myself to sleep and stop watching the show. Congratulations makers! you have now made me completely hate the show.
2. Believe what I see on screen, bash ASR left, right and center, cry myself to sleep and stop watching. Congratulations makers! you have now made me completely hate the show.
In either of the above options, end result is the same but I don't think makers give a shit or maybe that is their intention? to get people to stop watching so it is easy for them to shut the shop and walk away scot free.
As is, I hate this track for a plethora of reasons but what is making it worse is the fact it is deliberately being kept open ended. The only way I can digest it is the audience is let in on Sheetal's plan (if there is one) and the kid is not Arnav's. This suspense for the viewers is not needed to bring the "intensity" back. Everyone knew what happened on the terrace and that is the reason why everyone enjoyed the so-called "intensity" in the hate marriage track. Now here if the same "intensity" is coming back, Sheetal and the kid need to be exposed to the audience for them to enjoy the intensity. It all boils down to the focus: Do the makers want the audience to focus on the bloody, idiotic suspense? or do they want the audience to focus on Arnav and Khushi's pain?
I for one, don't think the truth about Sheetal is coming out anytime soon and that has less to do with story but more to do with the off screen shenanigans. Not just that, the whole bloody symbolism is back again for the same reason - to lay the ground work for justification of further off screen drama. Yeah Arnav broke Khushi's fast so the traditions weren't mocked directly but then again didn't Sheetal break her fast without any hurdles drinking the same water? What do you call that? It actually happened, it wasn't in Khushi's brain. I also think, all the references to death are not "casual" comments made in passing. MAMR promotion will start soon, possibly after the UK trip and a certain someone needs time off. How much time off is needed? I don't know. Are we talking about an accident and a coma OR are we talking about an accident and a face transplant OR are we talking about an accident and lights out? Yet to be seen.
See this is the reason you shouldn't PM me. I can't control myself 😆 but I am sorry, so very sorry for everything I have said here. I have very little self-control when it comes to ranting. Ajeeb hoon main.
