Absolutely agree with your post! If there could not handle and sustain a show like IPKKND, which has gained such a phenomenal popularity, I don't know how will they be able to do so with other shows. It is sad they took IPKKND and the fans for granted.
In hide-sight.. keeping their past interviews and attitudes in mind.. this is what I piece together...
I think when they got an opportunity to work with Star Plus... they saw it as a bigger platform and more visibility for themselves. So they used the concept of their already hit show and sold the idea to Star saying it the same love story concept like the old show just in a bigger way!!
They planned to make a show for some 350 odd episodes and hoped to encash on the bigger visibility they get on the star platform to further their careers!!
But IPK became a phenomena and one they weren't prepared for... the fame, the popularity both in terms of media and fan handling and storyline extension!!
I dont even want to quote the various PK blunders they have made thats going to be synonymous with their PH name! And the problem is they are failing to learn from past mistakes and continue to make more grave ones as they go!!!
