What I LOVED: 25th October 2012

Nice!!

Performance

Barun & Sanaya: Loved the performance – especially during the hypnotism thing.

Progress Points

1. Khushi fails yet again to find out about Aarav's father

2. NK talks of DNA test

Favorite Scene

Arnav-Khushi ekaant time away from bedroom and poolside for a change!

LOVED that Arnav was all ears the moment she went – 'pyaar badhaane ke liye'

Arnav & Khushi

Arnav and Khushi scenes were cute today.

She attempted to hypnotize him and he played along for a while.

Hypnotized or not – the only girl near Arnav's heart is Khushi.

Khushi

However, Khushi's questions kind of bothered me. She asked Arnav the name of a girl – other than Khushi – who was very close to Arnav's heart. Does she really feel that there could another who'd be close to his heart? (The only name I could come up with was probably Anjali Di ROFL!!)

Jokes apart, does Khushi really feel there would another girl for whom Arnav would be willing to go against everyone, just to marry her? When marriage was something the man didn't even believe in?

Khushi's emotions are complex right now. She knows Arnav loves her – she knows he loves her madly. She knows all that Arnav has gone through to just be able to make her his wife. She trusted Arnav so much that despite all she saw and heard and went through, she waited at the wedding alter till he came. I don't believe that Khushi doesn't trust Arnav. She does trust him.

However, Khushi trusts the Arnav of today. The ASR of yesterday is probably Khushi may have doubts over. Arnav went through a long journey before he came this point today where he is in love and has not only accepted that, but is enjoying it. Khushi has seen ASR at his worst, and she has seen Arnav at his best too.

Khushi knows what ASR was capable of. Khushi knows ASR's views (which remain unchanged except for Khushi) about marriage, as an institution. She knows this man was going for a live-in if his family had not stopped him. When he broke up with Lavanya, Khushi knew even back then, that he was not serious about La, he wasn't in love, and Lavanya really did not matter for him beyond a point.

What Khushi does not know is that Arnav had Lavanya live in his house, but he never did what La attempted – creep into his room in the middle of the night. Even when she attempted, Arnav wasn't too keen on her. (That's a different story that Arnav was by then too busy remembering Khushi's flying dupatta!! Nutcase Romeo!) Arnav patched up with La only because Khushi said so. He couldn't refuse anything Khushi said. I think I remember Arnav nearly cursing himself on why it was important for him to do what Khushi said, why he couldn't bear her tears, blah, blah, blah!

In short, what Khushi does not know is that she's mattered to him all along – and only she mattered to him. No girl ever mattered to him before her. No one could ever be close to his heart. She herself stated – he keeps his heart locked away all the darn time.

Her question is about the ASR that dwelt in the past whom she wouldn't have trusted. Today, she knows Arnav would do no such thing. What she seemingly doesn't know is that Arnav hasn't changed as a person – he's simply more expressed as far as love is concerned. His principles, his fundamentals, his beliefs still remain – except only where Khushi is concerned, he is unchanged.

Arnav talk about Khushi all along – and even when she sees that it was only her he was lost in – yet she is doubtful.

Arnav

I remember Arnav's question – do you trust me?

It must be hard for Khushi to trust Arnav after what happened and he knows it – and trust is what Arnav is looking for. My heart went out to him when he asked Khushi if she trusted him. It is important for Arnav to know Khushi trusts him. He knows it would be hard for her to trust him. He's done everything he possibly could, and more, so that she'd trust him – till she did.

I LOVED the Word Association game they played today.

Khushi -> Pagal

Arnav -> Main

Pyar -> bharosa

Rishta -> Pakka

Khushi is mad, and he is Arnav; that's just as true as love is trust and when there is a rishta for him it's for keeps.

That's how simple Arnav keeps it! I LOVE it about this character that he is complex because he is so simple. One expects people like him to be complex and unpredictable – but they are only so because they are simple and they keep it simple. They are true to who they are, they are dedicated to who they love, they know what they believe, they mean what they say, they say what they mean.

I LOVE the straightforwardness of Arnav Singh Raizada.

No matter in what manner Khushi asks him the question that she is doubtful about – his answer remains consistent. There may have been a time when he didn't realize or recognize his feelings for her. But ever since he has, he hasn't looked back. He is true to her as he is true to himself.

I think the main issue isn't only whether Aarav is Arnav's son, but that if the DNA test comes positive – and if Arnav denies it - Would Khushi trust Arnav or the DNA report? Arnav trusted Khushi without proofs. Would Khushi trust Arnav against the proofs? Something tells me – yes! In fact, I feel that if she was able to ask the question and had she got his answer in negative, she wouldn't even try to investigate further – unless it was against Sheetal.

That Khushi should trust him, matters to Arnav. So much, that he's answering all her questions. He isn't hiding anything that she wants to know. Though he seems to be enjoying the fact that his crazy wife is jealous, yet, would it hurt him if he realizes that she doubted his past with Sheetal beyond what he told her? Ouch!

For Arnav, love means trust and his bond, his rishta with her is for keeps. Sure, Arnav might understand what Khushi did and why she did it, but that's not the point.

The thing is if Arnav was bothered, if he was so much as a tad doubtful that Aarav might be his son - he may have told Khushi so himself. Arnav has been so truthful with her about himself; he's shared his heart and soul to her, it may be unlikely that he'd hide such a crucial thing from Khushi who is the most important part of his life.

Arnav told Khushi that Sheetal didn't mean anything to him, he'd forgotten about her till he'd seen her, the first detail he remembered about her was that she was his classmate, he knows Sheetal well because he talked with her more than he did with others.

(I wonder if we get to see any Arnav-in-the-college flashbacks!)

The DNA sounds like an acid test. The story moves on after the results come out.

Cutie Ones

Khushi: Jab aap hamari taraf yun ekagrata se dekhte to dil main kucch kucch hota hai

Arnav: eka what?

Khushi: Aap ko neend aa rahi hai.

Arnav: Not really!

Khushi: Arnav ji, aapko neend aa rahi hai.

Arnav: Okay, if you say so.

Khushi: aap so rahe ho!

Khushi: Woh bhi pyaar karti hai?

Arnav: Bohot!

Me: Aww!! Khushi get it please – the man is crazy about you and only you!

Sheetal & Aarav

The kid sure knows his mom. As soon as the principal asked for Aarav's father, he 'remembered' that he had to go to the washroom. What's more, he tells it to Khushi – not to his Mom. After he has managed to get Khushi out of the way, he tells her his mom could have taken him to the washroom, but now in his absence she'd be able to talk to the principal about his Dad.

Wow! That's one trained kid!

The way he jumped and talked about going to the washroom – that's the first time, he's done something not ASR. His aim was to get out of the room and get Khushi out as well, but the way he jumped up – this isn't ASR. It was almost as though he was kicked under the table to react that way.

(That was almost like Bubblia when she remembered the bag which had all the cut out pics of Payalia!)

~*~

Sheetal's understanding of Khushi's expressions during the DNA test discussion – the first giveaway that she knows Khushi is bothered about Aarav being Arnav's son. Till now, she's avoided answering Khushi's questions about the father, but it may have been thought of as not wanting to talk of something not so pleasant.

Today, after Khushi latches on to the idea of DNA test, Sheetal is nearly as interested in the idea as Khushi is. She barely keeps her interest level in check – only because Arnav and others are around.

The Maze

The way Khushi is being led into a maze – call it funny but it reminds me of Jerry mouse going after cheese. She's totally absorbed in it.

Khushi was shown the cheese and she's gone around sniffing in every direction being led deeper and deeper into the maze. She has no clue what this maze leads to. She's only bothered about the cheese.

Her focus is on finding out if Aarav is Arnav's son – but if he is, then what!?

IF we go by the scenario that Sheetal is causing this intentionally:

>> We don't know Sheetal's motives or intentions yet. Neither do we understand the timing or the occasion. She had enough time to do this till now. Till about 8 months or so back, Arnav was unmarried. This kid is about 8 years or more. Why didn't she move back into Arnav's life now – after he is married?

>> Sheetal has not only showed the cheese, but she's showed it to Jerry, not Tom.

The way she is working Khushi perfectly as though she knows how Khushi will react, what are her priorities, how she perceives things, and how she takes action. She is one step ahead of Khushi each time.

(This is the kind of knowledge only two people have about Khushi: Arnav and Shyam.)

>> The kid is properly trained to handle not only Khushi, but also Arnav.

She's been careful to train Aarav on ASR, not on Arnav.

>> After the first hint of jealousy from her, Sheetal has never betrayed that emotion again. In fact, wherever Khushi has tagged along with her, Sheetal has let her come along.

She is letting Khushi walk into her life.

>> The details of Diabetes given to Sheetal was rather - obvious. The particular detail about it being a hereditary disease – it seemed to have been said so that Khushi would hear it. This is one fact that Sheetal made known to everyone in RM – even if Khushi hadn't tagged along with Sheetal, she may have still told everyone about it.

>> Though everyone pushed her to stay in RM after Khushi invited her, Sheetal refused. Only on two counts did she falter: one, Aarav now needs special care; two, Arnav said ok.

>> Sheetal knows by now that Khushi is seeing and noticing Aarav's similarities, just as the other RM-ians, but she is the only one linking him to Arnav. Khushi's asked Sheetal a couple of times about Aarav's father. Sheetal's avoided the answer, thus causing more curiosity.

>> Sheetal accepted that she was a single mother and has been managing it alone – before the RM-waasis. Sympathy factor again kicked in.

>> Sheetal let Khushi come to the School despite knowing that Khushi wanted to know about Aarav's father. She noticed Khushi peering into the form, and then, didn't talk of the father till Khushi was out of the room with Aarav.

>> Aarav told Khushi that his mom told him that he is exactly like his father, but he too doesn't tell her the name.

>> The point at which the Principal came and took the file off Khushi's hand and then politely told her to leave (Thank you for coming!) was – interesting. LOVED that bit.

Also loved that the principal too thought that Jr. was like ASR in school.

By the way, I didn't know ASR studied in Delhi. Wasn't he living in Sheesh Mahal in Lucknow? Apart from Harvard.

>> Now, the DNA test is coming up. Sheetal is almost as interested in it as Khushi is.

>> In each step, Sheetal is never disclosing anything concrete, yet, she is showing enough to have Khushi do the dirty work for her.

>> Arnav and Khushi are already playing the blindfold game. The trust issues are rising again.

IF we go by the scenario that Sheetal is innocent:

>> Then, perhaps Arnav is or isn't Aarav's father. If he is, more pain, more angst. If he isn't, then a misunderstanding, perhaps.

>> Apart from them, I'm really not certain why Sheetal is even there -- unless there she has a sad story to tell for which Khushi is to help her.

But is it that simple?

Possible Foreshadow

Sheetal: I am waiting for my key. I won't stay many days.

This I gotta see. Sheetal is after a key. Is the key the DNA test?

What does she need the key for? Entering into Arnav's life again?

Exiting herself? Why?

She doesn't say 'We', but 'I' won't be staying many days. She doesn't include Aarav for 'not staying'. Does she intend to leave herself, and leave Aarav in RM? Does she plan to do it such that Khushi is the reason for it, not Sheetal or Aarav?

At this time, Aarav was sitting on Nani ji's lap – the one who's said that he looks like he's the son of this house.

Bubbly's entire game plan was meant to cause rift between Payash because she was jealous.

Sounds familiar with the current track, eh!

She plans on not staying many days. But the way she is entering is as though she wouldn't be stopped.

Others

1. Oops! NK likes Sheetal!

Good boy!

Sheetal saw that NK liked it.

Bigger Oops!

Funny though – NK seems to like Arnav's girlfriends!

First Khushi it was and now Sheetal-wa.

2. LOVED Arnav & Aarav chat in the school.

3. LOVED that Arnav's isn't a least bothered about Sheetal and Aarav sitting in RM, Khushi is all bothered.

Precap

Now this time comes in the life of married men – when they lose their hair on account of their wives.

But such interpretation...?? She is not even waiting for him to lose the hair, she's doing the honor herself!

I didn't see the episode today, but I wanted to know what you loved in today's episode. Here's my thoughts.

I think, the trust in Arnav is not the issue here. Khushi trusts Arnav with her life. But she does not trust her own luck.

Khushi is scared of her own happiness which she had revealed when Dadi gave her the bangles.

I think, everyone has the same fear of losing someone you love to a certain extent. However, in Khushi's case it's a bit more than that. Because of her circumstances and what she has faced since being an orphan, she is insecure in many ways.

If she had married someone who was from her own social strata, it would have been less. But she married this larger than life character. Even though she fought with him every time he called her low class and unworthy of his attention, in her deep core, she always believed that women like La and Sheetal are more suited to his life style.

If Sheetal was a salwar suit behenji, again, she won't feel as threatened. But she is exactly how La was and ASR used to prefer before she stormed into his life.

ASR on the other hand has never revealed to her that he was affected by her since they met and had been in love with her since before marriage. For her, ASR fell in love with her while they were married because of close proximity.

So she believes if he meets someone from his past who is more suited to his preferred and also the mother of his son, he will leave her or even regret being tied to her.

Now it's ASR's responsibility to make her feel like a queen and the most cherished person in front of Sheetal so that she understands that son or not, she is the center of his world.

Also, he needs to make his family stop making thoughtless comments in her presence. Honestly, this family is the height of insensitivity.

Hi Shalini,

WOW! MAAZA AGAYA! Today the analysis felt like PANI PURI….😆it was very CHAT PATA…..🤪 (Don't ask me why I made that analogy…after reading the analysis that's the first thing came to my mind…BTW I LOVE PANI PURI…..)👏

LOVED your description of Arnav – "He is complex because he is simple" – HOW SIMPLY YOU DESCRIBED THIS COMPLEX CHARACTER. So true, and the irony rest of the world is opposite, in the process of simplifying things we complicate them - Exactly what Khushi is doing!!😲

LOVED how Arnav moved his eyes along with very typical Khushi pendulum (Reminded me of his dialogue during sangeet night, "tumhare isharon pe na sahi, tumhare saath tho naacha") I guess now he is totally dancing to Khushi's TUNES!!

LOVED Khushi Arnav's scene. I thought Arnav was very cute and adorable and his answers very HONEST at the same time very SEXY!! (Do we really need passionate scenes, can they beat this?☺️)

LOVED Arnav asking Khushi to concentrate!! As if he was telling her to concentrate on their love, on him, else she is going to lose what she got.😳

BANG ON!! Khushi's questions bothered me too!!👏

The kind of questions Khushi is asking are the questions usually asked by a wife after 7 or more years into marriage (7 year itch…I guess)……That's when the marriage reaches complacency, comfort level, no need to express love, life is very routine, love is the last priority, life goes on - That's when the insecurities raise high, especially for wife….. These two were always comfortable with each other and never behaved like newlywed couple – So in 6 months of contract marriage and 1 month of re-marriage did they already reach 7 years itch phase? hmmm...interesting!!!

ARNAV'S LOVE❤️

Can this man be any more in love with this pagal Khushi? – Her presence, her smile, her talk, her antics, everything about her GETS JUST ONE REACTION FROM HIM – LOVE, ONLY LOVE, PURE LOVE!! I am so in love with his love... Is this the same person whom we saw a year ago or even 6 months ago? He blindly trusts her, he blindly follows her. I could see him being hurt today when Khushi says "aap hamare liye itna bhi nahi kar sakte". Arnav doesn't express or say but for the pain, humiliation he gave to Khushi before contract marriage and after contract marriage, he still feels guilty, it still hurts him that he hurt his Khushi – and he probably will live with this pain for rest of his life. He probably understands that there is no way he can make it up for all that he did but he can definitely LOVE HER, LOVE HER FOR WHAT SHE IS, GIVE HER THE HAPPINESS SHE DESERVES, GIVE HER THE RESPECT SHE COMMANDS - HENCE THE TRANSFORMATION TO THE CALM, PATIENT, CARING, LOVING HUSBAND. He has done a lot for Khushi, he himself has gone thru lot of pain to bring her home and be with her, but probably that's not enough….he probably has to pay more!!

ARNAV'S FOCUS

Arnav is not good at multitasking. If he focuses on one thing then he gives his 1000% to it and doesn't pay attention or care for what's happening in his surroundings.

- When he met Khushi he was so focused on running away from Khushi and her thoughts that he never realized that his heart beats for her.

- When he saw Khushi with Shyam (Oh I miss Shyam😭) he was so focused on saving Anjali and her child that he never saw that Khushi is innocent.

- When he came back from kidnapping he was so focused on wooing Khushi that he didn't know that his sister was meeting Shyam behind his back. (Oh! I miss Shyam😭)

- When the re-marriage rituals were going on he was so focused on fulfilling rituals and in-turn fulfillment Khushi's wishes that he didn't see the storm that was brewed by Dadi and Shyam (Oh! I miss Shyam😭) right under his nose.

- Only after he brought Khushi home, he smelled foul named Shyam (Oh! I miss Shyam😭) and he caught up with everything faster than Shyam had planned. But again after re-marriage he was so focused on kicking Shyam (Oh! I miss Shyam😭) out of his sister's life that he never paid attention to his new bride.

- After Shyam is kicked out, he is so focused on Khushi – his wife, and spending life with her, he is not realizing that there is another storm that's coming or standing right in front of him.

So something's got to BREAK ARNAV'S TRANS!! Something's got to SHIFT HIS FOCUS!! And it will probably be Khushi who is going to do that, by doing something that might HURT ARNAV???

KHUSHI ACTIONS, I AM CONFUSED –

After today's episode I am even more confused, what does Khushi want? What does she want to prove? Is she being her "curious" self, her "defective" self to find out the truth – to feed her inquisitiveness? – Which I think will be a big disaster, oh! god I don't even want to think of repercussions of her actions and I don't think even for once Khushi is thinking about impact of her actions on Arnav, their relationship and the family and what's next?

If she was thinking about all these she would have definitely backed off!!

And why she is not thinking about the impact? She is the same Khushi –

- Who agreed to marry Shyam because she saw the impact of not marrying Shyam on her family.

- Who didn't tell the truth about Shyam to Anrav or Anjali because she saw the impact on Anjali's life.

- Who agreed to marry Arnav because she saw the impact on Payal's life if she didn't marry Arnav.

- Who moved out of Arnav's life because she saw the strains in Anjali and Arnav's relationship.

And I think you summarized her feelings RIGHTLY!! They are complex – she is jealous, she is insecure, she is worried – for the kid, her future, Arnav's past, Arnav's relationship with Sheetal and what not. BOTTOMLINE – SHE IS NOT THINKING RIGHT!!

PS:

- Khushi Bitya Arnavji is already hypnotized in your LOVE!! All you have to do is look into his eyes and ask him what you want – HE WILL TURN THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN TO GET YOU WHATEVER YOU ASK FOR!!-

- Did hotwa get a haircut or am I hallucinating? Not that care…..seeing him in white, clean shaven, staring at Khushi (as if staring at me) – aab hum aaram se maar sakte hai……

- Why is everybody in RM so lovey Dovey with Sheetal, and she becomes the focus when she walks in (I hate it😡)…being ASR's Girl friend even Lavanya didn't get this kind of attentions and treatment!!

- Now the kid is really getting on my nerves…..

- Team IPK good job, you have again taken a very normal, run of the mill, cliched track shown a million times on TV yet managed to stir the emotions of FANDOM (negative and positive) and build the anticipation for "whats coming next'. so KUDOS!! 👏👏

- Sanaya, take a BOW and HUG🤗!! If the whole rituals, re-marriage belong to Barun this track totally belongs to Sanaya and she is doing a tremendous job of staying in the character in such complicated track and excelling every day. Barun Sobti you will always remain up there for me, but LOVE how well he is complimenting Sanaya!!👏

Shalini, I absolutely loved your take today. Absolutely agree on Arnav's love. He is very black and white - once he acknowledged to himself that he loved Khushi - there is no turning back. The hard part for him was actually admitting to himself his feelings for her - it was a long, slow and tortuous process not only for himself but also for Khushi mainly because the more he felt drawn towards her the more he lashed out at her to push her away. But the man loves intensely, passionately and unconditionally - not a huge surprise because we'd seen some of these characteristics in the way he loved his Di and took care of her. Nothing is too much for the ones he loves - it is an absolutely beautiful way to love someone.
Coming to Khushi and her insecurities. You're right she does trust Arnav. If she asked him for the truth and he gave her an answer even if it were to be completely unsupported by any evidence like DNA etc, she would take his word over everything else. However, I've always believed that there is a subconscious disquiet in her that perhaps she is ill equipped to deal with and the advent of Aarav has brought it to the surface. Arnav in his journey of self discovery about his love for Khushi unknowingly played a hand at creating some of this buried insecurity. He played a bad cycle of raajkumar and shaitan with her not once but again and again. We understand today why he did so - he fought with everything he had to make sure he did not accept his love for Khushi since he'd long ago made up his mind to keep his heart invulnerable from hurt by making sure he kept himself emotionally detached from the world because the people he loved always managed to abandon him and move away. But does Khushi understand why he put her through the cycle of running after her, seeking her out, bringing her close to him and then suddenly, from her perspective without rhyme or reason, rejecting her and that too quite brutally. This happened again and again - Diwali kiss and the aftermath, Payal and Akash's wedding and the aftermath, Holi and aftermath, Heer Ranjha and aftermath...the list goes on and on. Today she knows her Arnavji loves her and she has forgiven him the past hurts but has she forgotten it or is she subconsciously waiting for the shaitaan to emerge once again. Yes, it is the ASR of yesterday that worries her and not so much the Arnav of today and what is more - it is completely a subconscious fear and she is probably not even able to put her finger on what is bothering her. Hopefully the whole Aarav thing will force these fears to come to the surface and also force Arnav to deal with them since his past behaviour with her is responsible for this insecurity in her and he is the only person who can help her through this fear.
Sheetal is a bad actress and I find it very hard to gauge what she is trying to convey. Something is up with her and her motives but not able to quite get a handle on it yet. You're absolutely right that she does seem to understand Khushi rather well - Shyam or someone else from the past who has done their homework well. I'm not sure Aarav is part of the game yet but could be mistaken.

After today, I was a little disappointed to see how the track is unfolding. It's so promising but they're not handling it right. Your writeups gave me hope again. So thank you!

Nothing to add about the episode, I've wrecked my head enough over today.
