What I LOVED: 25th October 2012
Nice!!
Performance
Barun & Sanaya: Loved the performance – especially during the hypnotism thing.
Progress Points
1. Khushi fails yet again to find out about Aarav's father
2. NK talks of DNA test
Favorite Scene
Arnav-Khushi ekaant time away from bedroom and poolside for a change!
LOVED that Arnav was all ears the moment she went – 'pyaar badhaane ke liye'
Arnav & Khushi
Arnav and Khushi scenes were cute today.
She attempted to hypnotize him and he played along for a while.
Hypnotized or not – the only girl near Arnav's heart is Khushi.
Khushi
However, Khushi's questions kind of bothered me. She asked Arnav the name of a girl – other than Khushi – who was very close to Arnav's heart. Does she really feel that there could another who'd be close to his heart? (The only name I could come up with was probably Anjali Di ROFL!!)
Jokes apart, does Khushi really feel there would another girl for whom Arnav would be willing to go against everyone, just to marry her? When marriage was something the man didn't even believe in?
Khushi's emotions are complex right now. She knows Arnav loves her – she knows he loves her madly. She knows all that Arnav has gone through to just be able to make her his wife. She trusted Arnav so much that despite all she saw and heard and went through, she waited at the wedding alter till he came. I don't believe that Khushi doesn't trust Arnav. She does trust him.
However, Khushi trusts the Arnav of today. The ASR of yesterday is probably Khushi may have doubts over. Arnav went through a long journey before he came this point today where he is in love and has not only accepted that, but is enjoying it. Khushi has seen ASR at his worst, and she has seen Arnav at his best too.
Khushi knows what ASR was capable of. Khushi knows ASR's views (which remain unchanged except for Khushi) about marriage, as an institution. She knows this man was going for a live-in if his family had not stopped him. When he broke up with Lavanya, Khushi knew even back then, that he was not serious about La, he wasn't in love, and Lavanya really did not matter for him beyond a point.
What Khushi does not know is that Arnav had Lavanya live in his house, but he never did what La attempted – creep into his room in the middle of the night. Even when she attempted, Arnav wasn't too keen on her. (That's a different story that Arnav was by then too busy remembering Khushi's flying dupatta!! Nutcase Romeo!) Arnav patched up with La only because Khushi said so. He couldn't refuse anything Khushi said. I think I remember Arnav nearly cursing himself on why it was important for him to do what Khushi said, why he couldn't bear her tears, blah, blah, blah!
In short, what Khushi does not know is that she's mattered to him all along – and only she mattered to him. No girl ever mattered to him before her. No one could ever be close to his heart. She herself stated – he keeps his heart locked away all the darn time.
Her question is about the ASR that dwelt in the past whom she wouldn't have trusted. Today, she knows Arnav would do no such thing. What she seemingly doesn't know is that Arnav hasn't changed as a person – he's simply more expressed as far as love is concerned. His principles, his fundamentals, his beliefs still remain – except only where Khushi is concerned, he is unchanged.
Arnav talk about Khushi all along – and even when she sees that it was only her he was lost in – yet she is doubtful.
Arnav
I remember Arnav's question – do you trust me?
It must be hard for Khushi to trust Arnav after what happened and he knows it – and trust is what Arnav is looking for. My heart went out to him when he asked Khushi if she trusted him. It is important for Arnav to know Khushi trusts him. He knows it would be hard for her to trust him. He's done everything he possibly could, and more, so that she'd trust him – till she did.
I LOVED the Word Association game they played today.
Khushi -> Pagal
Arnav -> Main
Pyar -> bharosa
Rishta -> Pakka
Khushi is mad, and he is Arnav; that's just as true as love is trust and when there is a rishta for him it's for keeps.
That's how simple Arnav keeps it! I LOVE it about this character that he is complex because he is so simple. One expects people like him to be complex and unpredictable – but they are only so because they are simple and they keep it simple. They are true to who they are, they are dedicated to who they love, they know what they believe, they mean what they say, they say what they mean.
I LOVE the straightforwardness of Arnav Singh Raizada.
No matter in what manner Khushi asks him the question that she is doubtful about – his answer remains consistent. There may have been a time when he didn't realize or recognize his feelings for her. But ever since he has, he hasn't looked back. He is true to her as he is true to himself.
I think the main issue isn't only whether Aarav is Arnav's son, but that if the DNA test comes positive – and if Arnav denies it - Would Khushi trust Arnav or the DNA report? Arnav trusted Khushi without proofs. Would Khushi trust Arnav against the proofs? Something tells me – yes! In fact, I feel that if she was able to ask the question and had she got his answer in negative, she wouldn't even try to investigate further – unless it was against Sheetal.
That Khushi should trust him, matters to Arnav. So much, that he's answering all her questions. He isn't hiding anything that she wants to know. Though he seems to be enjoying the fact that his crazy wife is jealous, yet, would it hurt him if he realizes that she doubted his past with Sheetal beyond what he told her? Ouch!
For Arnav, love means trust and his bond, his rishta with her is for keeps. Sure, Arnav might understand what Khushi did and why she did it, but that's not the point.
The thing is if Arnav was bothered, if he was so much as a tad doubtful that Aarav might be his son - he may have told Khushi so himself. Arnav has been so truthful with her about himself; he's shared his heart and soul to her, it may be unlikely that he'd hide such a crucial thing from Khushi who is the most important part of his life.
Arnav told Khushi that Sheetal didn't mean anything to him, he'd forgotten about her till he'd seen her, the first detail he remembered about her was that she was his classmate, he knows Sheetal well because he talked with her more than he did with others.
(I wonder if we get to see any Arnav-in-the-college flashbacks!)
The DNA sounds like an acid test. The story moves on after the results come out.
Cutie Ones
Khushi: Jab aap hamari taraf yun ekagrata se dekhte to dil main kucch kucch hota hai
Arnav: eka what?
Khushi: Aap ko neend aa rahi hai.
Arnav: Not really!
Khushi: Arnav ji, aapko neend aa rahi hai.
Arnav: Okay, if you say so.
Khushi: aap so rahe ho!
Khushi: Woh bhi pyaar karti hai?
Arnav: Bohot!
Me: Aww!! Khushi get it please – the man is crazy about you and only you!
Sheetal & Aarav
The kid sure knows his mom. As soon as the principal asked for Aarav's father, he 'remembered' that he had to go to the washroom. What's more, he tells it to Khushi – not to his Mom. After he has managed to get Khushi out of the way, he tells her his mom could have taken him to the washroom, but now in his absence she'd be able to talk to the principal about his Dad.
Wow! That's one trained kid!
The way he jumped and talked about going to the washroom – that's the first time, he's done something not ASR. His aim was to get out of the room and get Khushi out as well, but the way he jumped up – this isn't ASR. It was almost as though he was kicked under the table to react that way.
(That was almost like Bubblia when she remembered the bag which had all the cut out pics of Payalia!)
~*~
Sheetal's understanding of Khushi's expressions during the DNA test discussion – the first giveaway that she knows Khushi is bothered about Aarav being Arnav's son. Till now, she's avoided answering Khushi's questions about the father, but it may have been thought of as not wanting to talk of something not so pleasant.
Today, after Khushi latches on to the idea of DNA test, Sheetal is nearly as interested in the idea as Khushi is. She barely keeps her interest level in check – only because Arnav and others are around.
The Maze
The way Khushi is being led into a maze – call it funny but it reminds me of Jerry mouse going after cheese. She's totally absorbed in it.
Khushi was shown the cheese and she's gone around sniffing in every direction being led deeper and deeper into the maze. She has no clue what this maze leads to. She's only bothered about the cheese.
Her focus is on finding out if Aarav is Arnav's son – but if he is, then what!?
IF we go by the scenario that Sheetal is causing this intentionally:
>> We don't know Sheetal's motives or intentions yet. Neither do we understand the timing or the occasion. She had enough time to do this till now. Till about 8 months or so back, Arnav was unmarried. This kid is about 8 years or more. Why didn't she move back into Arnav's life now – after he is married?
>> Sheetal has not only showed the cheese, but she's showed it to Jerry, not Tom.
The way she is working Khushi perfectly as though she knows how Khushi will react, what are her priorities, how she perceives things, and how she takes action. She is one step ahead of Khushi each time.
(This is the kind of knowledge only two people have about Khushi: Arnav and Shyam.)
>> The kid is properly trained to handle not only Khushi, but also Arnav.
She's been careful to train Aarav on ASR, not on Arnav.
>> After the first hint of jealousy from her, Sheetal has never betrayed that emotion again. In fact, wherever Khushi has tagged along with her, Sheetal has let her come along.
She is letting Khushi walk into her life.
>> The details of Diabetes given to Sheetal was rather - obvious. The particular detail about it being a hereditary disease – it seemed to have been said so that Khushi would hear it. This is one fact that Sheetal made known to everyone in RM – even if Khushi hadn't tagged along with Sheetal, she may have still told everyone about it.
>> Though everyone pushed her to stay in RM after Khushi invited her, Sheetal refused. Only on two counts did she falter: one, Aarav now needs special care; two, Arnav said ok.
>> Sheetal knows by now that Khushi is seeing and noticing Aarav's similarities, just as the other RM-ians, but she is the only one linking him to Arnav. Khushi's asked Sheetal a couple of times about Aarav's father. Sheetal's avoided the answer, thus causing more curiosity.
>> Sheetal accepted that she was a single mother and has been managing it alone – before the RM-waasis. Sympathy factor again kicked in.
>> Sheetal let Khushi come to the School despite knowing that Khushi wanted to know about Aarav's father. She noticed Khushi peering into the form, and then, didn't talk of the father till Khushi was out of the room with Aarav.
>> Aarav told Khushi that his mom told him that he is exactly like his father, but he too doesn't tell her the name.
>> The point at which the Principal came and took the file off Khushi's hand and then politely told her to leave (Thank you for coming!) was – interesting. LOVED that bit.
Also loved that the principal too thought that Jr. was like ASR in school.
By the way, I didn't know ASR studied in Delhi. Wasn't he living in Sheesh Mahal in Lucknow? Apart from Harvard.
>> Now, the DNA test is coming up. Sheetal is almost as interested in it as Khushi is.
>> In each step, Sheetal is never disclosing anything concrete, yet, she is showing enough to have Khushi do the dirty work for her.
>> Arnav and Khushi are already playing the blindfold game. The trust issues are rising again.
IF we go by the scenario that Sheetal is innocent:
>> Then, perhaps Arnav is or isn't Aarav's father. If he is, more pain, more angst. If he isn't, then a misunderstanding, perhaps.
>> Apart from them, I'm really not certain why Sheetal is even there -- unless there she has a sad story to tell for which Khushi is to help her.
But is it that simple?
Possible Foreshadow
Sheetal: I am waiting for my key. I won't stay many days.
This I gotta see. Sheetal is after a key. Is the key the DNA test?
What does she need the key for? Entering into Arnav's life again?
Exiting herself? Why?
She doesn't say 'We', but 'I' won't be staying many days. She doesn't include Aarav for 'not staying'. Does she intend to leave herself, and leave Aarav in RM? Does she plan to do it such that Khushi is the reason for it, not Sheetal or Aarav?
At this time, Aarav was sitting on Nani ji's lap – the one who's said that he looks like he's the son of this house.
Bubbly's entire game plan was meant to cause rift between Payash because she was jealous.
Sounds familiar with the current track, eh!
She plans on not staying many days. But the way she is entering is as though she wouldn't be stopped.
Others
1. Oops! NK likes Sheetal!
Good boy!
Sheetal saw that NK liked it.
Bigger Oops!
Funny though – NK seems to like Arnav's girlfriends!
First Khushi it was and now Sheetal-wa.
2. LOVED Arnav & Aarav chat in the school.
3. LOVED that Arnav's isn't a least bothered about Sheetal and Aarav sitting in RM, Khushi is all bothered.
Precap
Now this time comes in the life of married men – when they lose their hair on account of their wives.
But such interpretation...?? She is not even waiting for him to lose the hair, she's doing the honor herself!
