15th October 2012 Analysis
The episode starts off with Anjali stopping Khushi from carrying out her birthday surprise for Arnav as Mami clarifies that Arnav does not like celebrating his birthdays.
Anjali's dialog "If anyone among us does anything for Arnav, he will get angry", had me thinking about the character Arnav and how he is perceived by his family.
Arnav
Simply an Enigma!
The breadwinner of the family.
The person, who holds the family together, supports everyone and is the pillar of strength.
Someone who does not expect something to be done for him specially as he feels the need to do things for his family is greater.
Expecting something to be done for him by any of his family members was seen as a weakness of the great ASR who is able to stand up on his own, fight his own battles and to provide for himself without expecting anything from others.
Thus, when someone does something for him, he lashes out at that person in anger.
When he became ASR, he closed off his emotions towards everyone and just concentrated on providing a lavish lifestyle for his family members.
As such, he never got emotionally attached to any of his family members other than Anjali, but even she could only reach her Chotte to a certain extent, not fully.
He became a person who does not relish wasting his time on mundane things like birthdays, wedding rituals and even spending time with his girlfriend La on their anniversary.
Spending some peaceful time for himself or just celebrating a special occasion like his birthday was seen as a crime.
Reminds me of a quote, "The king has no time to celebrate himself as he is busy looking out for his subordinates".
And another quote that says, "Enjoyment is for fools who waste their time, people who want to conquer the world use every minute of it to anchor their feet".
These two quotes speak about Arnav Singh Raizada is for his family (in the former) and how he is as a person (in the latter).
Akash's dialog to NK," Just go tomorrow and wish Arnav 'Happy Birthday' lovingly and then you'll see how he scolds you in anger and gives a stare as if the company's share prices are dropping because of you".
Looks like Akash got an earful previously for wishing Arnav previously, haha.
Akash's another statement, "He does not like anyone wishing him on his birthday nor does he wish anyone on theirs".
We witnessed this aspect as Arnav struggled to wish Khushi on her birthday and only managed to say it at the very last minute of the day.
Arnav's main quality is that, "What he cannot say through words, he says it through actions".
1st Example: He does not say he loves his family but he conveys the message by providing them with luxury and a lavish lifestyle.
2nd Example: He does not say he cares for Akash and does not showcase his love for him, but when he knew that Akash could not live without Payal, he got them united in love and married.
3rd Example: He is grateful to Mami for selling all her jewellery for him to start off his business, he shows it by getting all the jewelleries that Mami likes for her.
4th Example: He does not celebrate anything for himself, but when it comes to every occasion that matters for his loved ones, he celebrates them with such exuberance like Anjali's wedding anniversary, Khushi's birthday, the various pujas and functions.
For Arnav, what he cannot he say through words, he does it through his actions. And it is up to his family members to understand this motive of his!
Khushi did, Anjali understood to some extent, but others did not.
And people did not want to reach out to him as they did not want to anger him and so they just let him be by himself.
His actions of not wanting to celebrate his birthday over the years, his anger that he lashed out at others at any mention of the day spoke louder for his family members than the silence after the anger that probably spoke that if his family members had insisted or were stubborn to celebrate his birthday, he would have agreed as their happiness means a lot to him.
But sadly no one did.
I grew to this conclusion based on another incident that occurred.
If you guys remember, during the "Swami" period, everyone had their dinner and was going off to bed. But Khushi told them that she will stay up and wait for Arnav so that they both can eat together.
Nani at that point clarified that Arnav always works late and would not want anyone to stay up and wait for him as he would not like it. He will just eat the food that was on the table and go to sleep. But Khushi insisted that she will and no one argued. Nani did her duty by calling Arnav and telling him Khushi was waiting for him to have dinner so asked him to come quickly.
Point: When Arnav came back home, he was not angry with Khushi. He was just thinking what drama she is putting on now by waiting for him to have dinner together. And whether she has any mischief planned. He was not angry for her staying up for him, if I might say, he may have been glad of it too. If the misunderstanding did not occur, he would be really happy that she was waiting for him for dinner.
Arnav's family members ASSUMED that
He liked to be by himself
He did not want anyone to be close to him
He did not want anyone to care for him
He will be able to take care of himself
His anger ultimately became the mask through which he shoved people away from him and it worked.
They did not feel the need to help him out of his miseries, maybe because he did not allow them to and neither did they take any steps to curb it. They happily thought he loved to be the way he was and just let him be.
They did not try to reach out to the boy who also wanted someone to celebrate his birthday, spend time with him and for once, not be a person who makes decisions in his life rather than being the one who always does it.
Sadly no one fulfilled the inner wishes of this small boy who still resided in Arnav.
This wish of Arnav and the wants of the man who grew up as Arnav Singh Raizada within a span of few minutes from the small boy Chotte is what today's episode showcased to everyone.
The only person who understood this aspect of Arnav is Khushi.
As a wife she wanted to celebrate his birthday to show him how much she loves him and wants to make the day to be special for him. From the decorations to the food, every minor detail was painstakingly focused upon so that the day will be full of fun without any glitches or whatsoever for her husband. But everyone only discouraged her, but she remained stubborn to celebrate his birthday no matter what.
When Arnav realized what Khushi was planning while speaking on the phone with the mittai-wale, his expressions totally conveyed his amusement and that he understood what was happening and what his wife was doing.
In the four walls of their room
He politely refused Khushi not to celebrate his birthday.
His reasons
It is just any other normal day
It is not a big thing to be celebrated
He does not like celebrating it
Are you sure of these reasons Mr Arnav Singh Raizada??
Cos when Khushi mentioned that she is doing preparations to cheer you up, there was a slight smile that was evident on your face, a yearning and happiness that finally someone wants to celebrate it too. Hmmm
AH! Now I get it!
You want it to look as if you do not want to celebrate your birthday but at Khushi's insistence and because of her stubbornness you had no choice but to celebrate it.
Your image is intact and your wish is also fulfilled!
Very smart Mr Raizada!! Very smart!
But got to give it to you' you understand your wife so well that you know she will not admit defeat and will still proceed to celebrate your birthday.
But don't forget, your wife is smarter than you.
She understands neither the words you say nor the actions that you do.
She only understands the feelings that you hide inside yourself and the messages that your heart conveys to hers.
Remember? both your heartbeats are entwined as one!
Thoughts to ponder: Why did Khushi set an alarm for?
A wife who never admits defeat
This is the Khushi we all saw and fell in love with.
A girl, no matter what blow life throws at her, she faces it and emerges victorious.
A feisty girl known for her courage and immeasurable love showered upon others.
A girl who could melt even the stone Arnav Singh Raizada and knows that what she wishes for can be easily accomplished; just the right steps are needed to be taken.
A girl, who knows what buttons to push, so that her husband willingly admits to her what he wants or how he wants to celebrate his birthday.
A girl who sets her next plan into motion to achieve the desired results: her husband to speak to her about what he desires for himself.
If He Is Like That, Then I Am Like This
Her next plan: Use Reverse Psychology
A plan that never ever fails especially if it is done to Arnav Singh Raizada!
Laad Governor or Detective
God I just loved this scene! It was just too funny!
Arnav actually knew why Khushi took his suit and asked her yet again whether she had anything planned for tomorrow.
Khushi as usual feigned her innocence and said no, and her laad governor saw right through her lie.
He spoilt Khushi's plans and told her if there were no plans then it is good.
Khushi you underestimated your laad governor! He knows your every action, reaction, thoughts, feelings, just everything about you even if you are million of miles away. Now you are just a few metres apart, what makes you think he does not know about what you have up your sleeve?
Hahaha! Their sweet nok-jhoks just reach another height all the time!
When Plan A Fails, There Is Always Plan B
Suit fails so up comes measuring tape!
And what better way to do it then by seducing your husband
Khushi trust me, only you could have come up with such a plan to take your husband's measurements without disclosing to him what exactly your intention was.
I was rolling on my bed with laughter throughout the scene where she was describing Arnav (gosh at that point of time I wished I was in Khushi's position)
Hai mein marjaawan!!
The best part when Khushi started, Arnav actually knew she was trying to do something else but not being a seductress hahaha
My favourite dialogs of today:
I am so lucky to have such a handsome husband like you
(Khushi is this the first time you have realized your husband is handsome apart from the scene when he exercises where he was so hot?)
Strong and young, a commendable height and body
(Oh my goodness I would never ever dare describe my husband as such, before that I will faint due to the heat emanating from his body)
Such broad shoulders, they can carry any burden
(So true, he has been carrying his past and his family all throughout his life on his shoulders)
And your arms, they can beat Salman Khan's anyday
(Khushi! Are you comparing Salman Khan and Arnav Singh Raizada? Thank goodness you said Arnav's arms can beat Sallu's..if not today my condolences would have been with you coz your possessive husband would have made minced meat out of you hahaha)
Your chest, I find so much of peace here
(I love how you beat his chest to shut him up. awww!! Khushi I want to be in your position to snuggle up in Arnav's chest... please can I?)
The best part of this scene, Arnav was totally engrossed in what Khushi was saying that he did not even realize what she was actually doing and he did not even think that this is something that Khushi will never do, being physical with him of her own initiation.
Bechara Arnav, not only are the audiences Rabba-Ve deprived but the hero also feels Rabba-Ve deprived.
Just when he feels he needs to get some action done and is so happy that his wife feels the same way as him because she tells him
When I am so close to you, so close to you .. I .. I ..
(Haha Khushi does not finish this sentence and Arnav was thinking she is too shy to complete it)
He says "Ok you come here now" and goes to hug her, when she slips away from his hands.
The husky voice of Arnav when he uttered that dialog, I swear one day I am going to die because of it.
Arnav's confusion why Khushi was not snuggled around his arms was so evident on his face. Poor thing! What all he must have visualized after hearing Khushi's words'everything got punctured.
Finding My World
When Arnav finds Khushi kneeling by his feet, he asks her what she is doing down there and she tells him that she is finding her world.
This scene highlighted two very important aspects of Arnav's character
1) Arnav respects and wants Khushi as his better half, someone who will stand beside him through thick and thin, and someone whose independence and individuality he values. He does not want Khushi to be his subordinate or someone he rules over, he just wants her to be walking forward with him not kneeling at his feet and foregoing her own independence for him to move ahead.
2) "Swami Episode" ' During this whole sequence we saw Arnav highlight the aspect that he does not want anything from Khushi. As his wife, he does not expect Khushi to do something specially for him or to only concentrate her full energy on him. As an individual he values his independence and the way he likes to do things, and does not want Khushi to go out of her way for him.
In today's scene this was symbolized when he moved away from Khushi when she wanted to touch his feet and immediately pulled her up, as he cannot bear to see Khushi being beneath him.
Arnav you are truly a gentleman, who sets the bar so high, no one is able to compete with you at all
Khushi's Shock
Seriously woman, were you married 4 days back or 40 years back?
Your husband was happily working on his laptop'
But because of your words of how the weather was so nice and how hot a human your husband looks like, he started visualizing a fun time with you' and just when his brain started working to seduce his wife and tries to pull you to the bed, you just had to blow it all away!
How could you stay away from him?? I just don't understand!!
Poor soul, when you refused him, he totally had no clue as to why you are moving away from him when just a few seconds ago you were totally 'in the mood' to get some action done. If only he knew that whatever you said earlier was just part of your plan to take his measurements.
One advice to you Arnav: Don't ever try to understand your wife's words or intentions. Whatever you think is exactly the opposite that is running through her mind.
Thoughts to ponder: Patience and wait? moments that come after waiting bear its fruits. Hmm wait for what ... rabba-ve??
Arnav's Birthday!!
Let me wish you first!
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday dear Arnav
Happy birthday to you!
Phangurl moment!
Gosh how hot can you look while sleeping!
I have yet to find someone who looks this good while sleeping
And when you woke up, you just looked so hot and sexy especially when you shifted your weight onto your elbow to wake up...
I was dying just by looking at you and your 'Just Woke up Look'... Haiz!!
Reverse Psychology and Its Effects on Arnav Singh Raizada
Now starts the plan because of which Arnav will own up to what his heart truly desires.
Khushi's desired results: Her Arnavji opens up and tells that he wants to celebrate his birthday too with her and his family members. He willingly agrees and accepts it and also feels the love present for him on this special day. All the past hurts gets washed away because of today's beautiful celebration.
Did it work?
Of course, when has Khushi's plans ever failed before.
From the start of the day till the end, we saw various avatars of Arnav. Let us peel it one by one.
A Wishful Husband
A husband who wakes up on his birthday and all his heart and mind craves is for his wife to wish him on his birthday and to fill it with her smiles, wishes and love. His immediate need was to know what she has planned for his birthday since yesterday
But what does he get
A wife who wakes her husband up and wishes him 'Good Morning', totally ignoring his birthday, and chasing him off to office!
Bechara! got such a shock of his life hearing that line, haha, "Office...?"
Does that thwart him off? Of course not'he expectantly waits for his gift when he sees his wife opening a chest, but that was not his gift but her bangles collection. Unable to take the suspense, he confronts his wife, about what is going on and is eager to know what her plan for today is as he hates surprises.
But what does he get
A wife who declares that she has no plans planned as he is not a child anymore for whom they have to blow balloons, invites guests and ask him to cut a cake. And goes on to state that even he does not like doing all this. So problem solved and no birthday celebrations!
What is more sad for him to hear was his birthday was just going to be like any another normal day as he himself said that there is nothing special attached to it. He was trying his best to accept everything that his wife was telling him, but he could not fathom what just happened, that she did not even wish him on his birthday
Arnav Singh Raizada, your facial expressions clearly read that if you had known your wife would do exactly what you told her to do, then you would not have argued with her at all and just let her celebrate your birthday, at least everything would be well then and you would have gotten your birthday wishes too.
But listen Mr Raizada, your wife wants you to admit about what you want to yourself and others, she wants you to come upfront about your desires that you have hidden deep within yourself. She wants to reach that hidden part of you and wants to help you to come out of the shell that you have hid yourself in. Just let her do it again and see how lovingly your birthday is celebrated.
An Eager Boss
Arnavji I don't think you have ever been so eager to hear from Aman your manager, like how you answered his call today. You just 'knew' that Aman would have definitely call to wish you on your birthday that you answered his call with not a hello but a thank you. HAHAHA!
But What Does He Get
His manager Aman calling him to say he fixed the meeting with a client and clearly forgot that it was his boss' birthday. Arnav was so embarrassed when Aman asked him why he said thank you, but he just brushed it off saying that it was nothing. After hanging up the phone, Arnav could ask why Aman does not remember his birthday? oh man! How sad is this??!!
Aman, you are definitely the right hand man of Arnav Singh Raizada but how could you forget your boss' birthday? Just one wish and you could have gotten a pay rise
Oh! Now I get it, you remember Mr Sharma's plight, hahaha! If Mr Sharma had called this year to wish Arnav, the birthday boy would have been the happiest that at least someone remembered... oh wells!
A Wanna-be Pampered Son
Next he goes to his Nani and Mami and wishes them a very good morning expecting birthday wishes and blessings from them
But What Does He Get
His Nani and Mami just smile at him lovingly and wish him morning greetings as if it was any normal day and ask him whether he has eaten his breakfast.
He finds it totally weird that no one close to him remembers his birthday.
He then leaves to the dining room to have his breakfast, expecting his wife to have at least prepared some special dishes for him like his favourite Puri and Aloo Mattar.
But What Does He Get
Out of all the days, today she decided to make breakfast a simple fare with only toast, butter and fruits.
Heartbroken, he definitely was as his wants for a more lavish fare was clearly evident when he asked, "Aur?"
When everyone gathers to eat breakfast, he looks at everyone expectantly wishing silently for someone to remember that it was his birthday and wish him
But What Does He Get
His two cousins stating various reasons and not staying for breakfast; His sister not wishing him but going over her own plans for the day with Nani; His Mami saying that she is enjoying the simple breakfast
He looks at the food and everyone gathered at the dining table, and unwillingly accepts that today is no special day for his loved ones as they forgot that it was his birthday and to just accept everything as it was. His hurt was clearly evident when he tries to convince himself that 'For everyone it is just a normal day and that he should leave it as it is, everything would be good'.
A Wishful Husband - Yet Again
When he leaves the table to leave for his meeting, his wife calls out to him and with an eager and expectant smirk and stride, he turned to face her finally expecting her to wish him.
But What Does He Get
His wife handing to him his mobile phone, which he forgot to take from the table, while leaving for office.
His wife saw his crestfallen face and knew that she was on the right track to make her husband realize what he wants for his birthday, to desire it with his whole heart and to allow his loved ones to fulfill it.
A Demanding Brother
If there is ever someone from whom Arnav does not shy away from demanding or asking something from, it is always Akash. Likewise for Akash. They both share a comfort level where they both can speak to each other and ask favours from each other without feeling awkward or shy.
If you have noticed Arnav did not directly tell anyone that today was his birthday, but with Akash he did not feel the need to beat around the bush as he knew that Akash would understand what he was trying to say, and he would not be judged as a person who seems very eager for others to remember his birthday by his brother. He shares that comfort level with Akash and knows that if he reminds Akash of his birthday, he would wish him
But What Does He Get
Akash telling him that he definitely remembers that today is his birthday but he is not wishing him, as Arnav always told him that birthdays are not special days but just like any other normal day
Haha Arnav you never thought that you would ever see a day where you got to eat your own words right? HAHA! Well you just faced today where at every moment you are thinking why you ever claimed that birthdays are just normal days? Haha!
And you forgot another one of your sentences!
"Akash always listens to you, no matter what", don't you remember?
If you did, I just reminded you of it.
When Akash follows every word of yours blindly, how could you think he will forego your words and your mantra of "I don't like celebrating my birthdays and don't like anyone wishing me on my birthday" and will of his own accord wish you?
Tell me phleej!
A Surprised Husband
Yet, an equally exuberant and eager husband to see his wife enter his office room.
Khushi mentioning about lunch and seeing the huge bag that she was carrying made Arnav expect his wife to have cooked special dishes for him as she was the only other person who remembered his birthday.
And when she said she wanted to have lunch together with him, he was filled with so much joy that he flashed his million dollar smile.
What does he do next?
He chases off his brother out of the room (poor Akash! Never get to eat lunch also), stating Khushi must have cooked a 7 course meal with a personal note. Wow Arnav, you really think Khushi is such a romantic to sneak a personal note into your food' hahaha! But I would not have put pass her cooking a 7 course meal just for her Laad Governor.
He spotted such a confused expression when Khushi asked Akash to eat lunch with them as he thought Khushi must have planned a special lunch for just the two of them. If he had thought that, maybe he did not ponder much about it and went to eat the 7 course meal with his wife.
7 Course Meal
Arnav what your heart wished for ...
But What Does He Get
Rice, Dhal, Bitter Gourd Curry and Chappati
Oh my goodness birthday lunch or torture?? Yuck, what a choice of food!
Arnav looks at the food and then turns to look at Khushi and was too shocked to react. It is ok Arnav, even I understand your plight! Bitter gourd curry, oh man' Khushi what were you actually thinking?
Birthdays are supposed to be days where everyone is allowed to indulge in food that are on other occasions forbidden and what did you actually cook for your Laad Governor, bitter gourd??
And you still dared to call it nice food, and that he should be lucky to have it? Pity him, he is one of the unluckiest people to have ever begotten such a birthday lunch. Arnav what wrong did you do in your past life??
Poor soul, I still wonder how he ate finish all the food!
An Angry Husband
He, who has waited a whole half day to hear his wife wish him, finally loses all patience when she turns back from the door mentioning that she forgot something making him expectantly wait for her wishes, but just proceeds to pass him digestive pills and leave his office.
An Expectant Birthday Boy
Upon reaching home, Arnav sees his whole family bent over NK's laptop laughing over something. His heart just wishes for a second that it was a surprise planned by his family to celebrate his birthday.
But What Does He Get
His whole family laughing over Salman Khan's new movie trailer. When he hears this, his own smile falters.
Arnav if until now you just hated Salman Khan for being Khushi's favourite actor, then today I can guarantee from the bottom of my heart that you not only hate him but you detest him completely. HAHAHA!
The Final Straw
Khushi refusing to receive Arnav's birthday cake sent to him by one of his clients. Her reason: Arnav himself told her he does not want to celebrate his birthday.
This action of Khushi totally set off Arnav's anger who all this while was trying to control it, and he lashes out at Khushi.
My Own Thoughts
Arnav you have thus far, buried your feelings and emotions deep within yourself and did not let anyone inside of you before Khushi. Khushi brought out the Arnav who was hiding within ASR and the only reason she is not wishing you on your birthday or celebrating it is because she wants you to feel that you yourself want to celebrate your birthday.
The whole reason as to why she is using reverse psychology on you. Sanka devi only knows how to spread joy, and on your birthday she definitely would not want her Laad Governor to be angry at all.
Your lashing out at her in anger has its perks as you will finally realize what you actually want on your birthday and this will allow your close ones to respond to your inner feelings. It is alright Arnav if on some special days, your loved ones do something for you, it is not necessary for you to do things always for others. It is ok to expect some things from others too.
Arnav finally realized the impact Khushi has in his life as well as in his family. He admits that since Khushi is here, then why everyone else not feels the need to wish him.
Arnav this thought of yours clearly shows and reiterates Khushi's stand that you have changed a bit after your marriage. But the problem here is that no one wants to believe Khushi's statement that you have indeed changed for the better and would also want them to wish you on your birthday and also celebrate it.
For your family members to realize this will take time, but Khushi already knows it.
You both are really meant for each other at the end of the day!
Nobody even comes close to understanding the both of you like how you both actually do! Your similarities and differences are exactly the same!
Special Mention
I absolutely loved Akash today! He brought out the humor in the whole episode by scaring NK. He good humouredly told Khushi to cancel her plans as he does not want her to get scolded by his brother. This clearly shows he regards Khushi as his younger sister whom he has to protect always. He again portrayed the role as Arnav's brother in the office and made Arnav himself agree to Akash's comments. Akash you were too good yaar!

16th October 2012 Episode Will be Updated in Awhile š³
Updated!!
Well⦠well⦠well⦠what can I say about today's episode. More likely from where should I start? I personally did not mind today's episode, it was good (except for some scenes and dialogs here and there), and other than that, the episode was filled with equal amounts of romance, drama and fun.
The episode continues from the previous day where Khushi refuses to receive Arnav's birthday cake sent to him by one of his clients. As I mentioned earlier, this action of Khushi was the last straw for Arnav and he, from here, completely lost his cool.
Newly-Weds 1ST (Oops! No!) 2ND Fight
We witnessed their first fight after Arnav and Khushi came back home from the cinema. Oh man! I am still reveling from the way Arnav pinned Khushi against the wall in anger.
Moving on to today's fight, we saw Arnav's cool tenure break and he then proceeds to lash out at Khushi in anger demanding the reasons for her actions in not celebrating his birthday.
Here finally we witness Arnav Singh Raizada become vocal about his feelings and emotions especially of what he actually wants, desires and expects from the love of his life.
Yes he did not want to celebrate his birthday or have a lavish party that his wife wanted and planned to throw for him
All he wanted and expected from his wife was a birthday wish, uttered by her full of love only for his ears to hear
The birthday boy's another desire was to just spend some quality time with his love, not to have her rush him out of the house to go to office and to spoil the lunch date organized by her with torturous dishes and stating that she has to leave fast as she has a lot of work to do?
Oh really? The works are more important than your husband's birthday?
Soā¦No Reverse Psychology??
CVs you people have a way of getting all the audiences hopes built to such a high level and when it comes to culminating that specific track, you lose your ground and dish at the audiences something that falls really flat on the ground.
The same went for today's Arnav's birthday track.
Why did you make us believe that Khushi has planned something really awesome for Arnav's birthday and that she wants him to admit it to everyone and thus a birthday would be held.
Why? Why? Why?
The audiences hoped for Arnav's confession that he wanted his birthday to be celebrated by his loved ones, we wanted Khushi to bring out the cake and wish him on his birthday, we wanted all the family members to be gathered there and to see them rejoice as to how much their Chotte changed after his marriage. Everyone happily wishing him on his birthday.
But what do we get?
Khushi listening to every word Arnav said and following it. Since her husband clearly told her he did not want to celebrate his birthday, she followed it. Is this the Khushi I got to know since the start of this show? The girl who never admitted defeat when things never go the way she wanted? The girl who changed every rule?
I seriously doubt it.
Khushi's Infamous Dialog
"I have changed myself so much for you"
I have no idea in what context Khushi mentioned this statement. But from what I can gather I will associate this statement to two things.
1) Farmhouse Consummation
During this scene, we saw Khushi who willingly accepted Arnav to form a physical relationship with him without taking the 'pheres' with him. The reason was because Arnav changed her and made her understand that feelings and emotions have a larger meaning attached to it than worldly rituals done for others.
2) Honoring Arnav's Words
If this was the old Khushi, she would have used reverse psychology on her husband and would have succeeded in manipulating her husband to celebrate his birthday her way. A girl who loves birthday celebrations (remember how she told Anjali everything that she will do on her birthday) is the most happiest to celebrate her husband's birthday. But she abandoned all her plans because she did not want to hurt her husband especially on his birthday because birthdays are supposed to be celebrated by how the birthday boy/girl wants, not for it to be shoved down their throat by others and thus forced to celebrate the day.
"Real giving is when we give to our spouses what's important to them, whether we understand it, like it, agree with it or not"
-Michele Weiner-Davis
Problem!!
The big problem in Arnav and Khushi's relationship is MISCOMMUNICATIONS.
They both can understand each other fully when they are in tune with each other's feelings.
Yet, they both can misunderstand each other totally.
Ajeeb? Of course, that is why they are Arnav and Khushi, who are head over heels in love with each other.
Arnav did not completely reveal his inner feelings when he told Khushi that he did not want to celebrate his birthday. He honestly would not have minded if Khushi had continued on with her plans to celebrate his birthday. For one, he welcomed the idea because his love is doing it for him.
And he cannot be forefront about his wishes to celebrate his birthday because he has an image to maintain. Thus he has to refuse outwardly, but inwardly be happy about his birthday being celebrated.
Khushi, on the other hand, totally failed to understand her husband's deep, inner wishes. She understood only the words spoken by him. What happened to the Khushi who was attuned to every breath, every emotion, every feeling, every expression of her husband?? Did she not understand and perceptive about the hidden meaning in her husband's words?
Arnav and Khushi
You both are equally right and equally wrong in both your stands.
Arnav understood that Khushi abandoned all her plans because he himself stated that he does not want any celebrations of any kind. Another moment where the great Arnav Singh Raizada was made to eat his own words. Next time Arnav think twice before saying anything, and if you really want something or wish for something, be upfront about it, because if you play hard to get, then sorry to say, what you wish will never happen.
Wishing Arnav
Nani, Mami, Anjali, NK are you guys kidding me?? You all never wished Arnav 'Happy Birthday' just because Khushi told you to do that. What in the world? Don't tell me, you guys never wished him all those years before? Why the sudden change? It is your Chotte's birthday, the person because of whom you all are living completely, the guy who slogs day and night for your every happiness. And you did not wish him because someone else told you not to. Unbelievable!
For this Buaji is so much better, she would not have listened to Khushi and would have wished Arnav and blessed him.
Raizaada Parivaar
I always had this qualm with this family.
Why do they always say something that will hurt each other especially while eating?
Isn't dinner supposed to be a family get-together filled with fun and jokes. No, in this family, dinner is when they will bring up family issues, all the bad things done by the members, and reprimanding the members for their bad behaviour especially Arnav.
Don't they see that this guy is diabetic and that he cannot skip his meals, if not his sugar level will be irregular. And Arnav is the kind of guy, when one word is said against him, he leaves the place hurt and would not eat. Don't they understand his character or him?
Sigh I have no idea why they always show this kind of scenes. My heart always goes out to Arnav during these scenes!
Arnav-Akash
The bond between the two siblings again reinforced through this scene.
Akash giving relationship advice to Arnav, oh my goodness! I never thought that I would see this day.
The guy who had constant problems with his wife Payal over petty issues, is here seen to be helping his brother sort out his fight and problems with Khushi.
Akash you are right for once, the reason Khushi wanted to celebrate Arnav's birthday is to show him how much she loves him and values him in his life.
Thank you Akash for telling Arnav this!
I totally loved the part when Akash said, "If these girls never loved us, we boys would not have been anywhere."
And at this statement, Arnav's look to Akash was priceless. It totally conveyed the message that he cannot imagine Khushi not loving him.
Kudos Barun your look just said everything for me, how much Arnav loves Khushi. Your teary-eyed expression had me feel the hurt you were feeling deep inside you.
Akash is the only one from whom Arnav can demand or ask any things from. There is no awkwardness, judging of characters, shyness between them.
Just pure sibling love that can help each other through difficult periods.
Marked by Arnav asking for help from Akash on what to do next to pacify Khushi and Akash reiterating and assuring Arnav confidently that he is Arnav Singh Raizada, he definitely knows what to do.
Awesome!! Just brilliant! This whole scene showed the audience the strong bonds of love that binds Arnav and Akash together.
Jalebi-Bai
Oh my goodness! Seriously?? Arnav Singh Raizaada is making Jalebis to pacify his upset wife!
Oh wow! After that time when I saw Arnav sitting in the wardrobe to pacify Khushi, this was the next scene that had me laughing and thinking, "I never thought this day would ever come". Ironically, in both scenes Arnav was trying to pacify Khushi.
The former scene he did not succeed, but in the latter scene he definitely did!
Just loved the way the Jalebis kept turning out horribly. HAHA! First too little oil, the batter too gooey. Then the oil splintering and Arnav totally struggling to pour the batter in the oil. Arnav consulting cookbook. The flour spread all over the floor and on Arnav's face. This was one scene I was just laughing my head off.
Mami your dialog "Trying to fry" was too good.
Poor Arnav when the oil splintered onto him, I felt so bad.
But thank you Akash for stopping Anjali, this is something that Arnav must cross alone to pacify Khushi, no one should help him do it.
Poor guy, he totally had no clue how to cook!
Arnav Upset
Did I actually hear Arnav saying that he made Jalebis because he was upset? Khushi's therapeutic method also rubbed off on him?
Unbelievable!
Khushi I am also as shocked as you are that Arnav made Jalebis because he was upset.
The boy who was caught doing something wrong look that Arnav gave Khushi stole my heartbeat as always!
Khushi's laughter when she saw the burnt Jalebis was just normal. Even I was laughing and thinking are these even Jalebis. Hahaha! Arnav you got to learn a lot before you make the best Jalebis in the world. No worries you have Khushi to teach you!
No Cake but Got Jalebis
I loved how Khushi brought out the candle for Arnav to blow and to make a wish. Arnav's expression was, "What in the world?" but he cannot refuse his Khushi and so he just did what she asked him to.
However, why was there no monologue as to what Arnav wished for?? I was waiting to hear what he would actually wish for!!
I loved how Khushi sang for Arnav; it was filled with so much love and happiness!
Totally Made For Each Other
Honestly these both can only be made for each other.
They ate the food that tastes horrible and can honestly say that the food is very nice because the other person had made it.
These two are definitely unique and crazy.
Arnav's apology and Khushi's Acceptance
This was followed by Arnav declaring that he will not stop Khushi next year when she wants to celebrate his birthday and that she can do anything for him on that day.
Sanka devi was also no less, she demanded what he will do for her birthday and he stated that he will wish her.
I totally loved this scene. It was just so sweet and loving.
And their hugs, it always leaves me craving for more!!
Arnav's Gift
Thank goodness Khushi did not forget it.
Khushi you told Arnav patience yield sweet results and here you are so impatient waiting for Arnav to open the present. You never change do you?
Khushi's plans have always become messed one way or the other, and for today, Arnav's birthday suit shrunk to the size of a kid's size.
Khushi was flabbergasted as to how the suit was sewn so small as she took correct measurements. At this statement of Khushi, Arnav's look of finally understanding how and when she took the measurements was awesome!
Arnav was that you trying to crack a joke about the suit being made from leftover cloth?
Rabba-Ve
Oh man!! Finally I get rabba-ve!!! Finally I get kisses, that also two!! Finally I get Lift-Khushi scene!! Finally I get a bed scene!!
I can die happy happy!! But with these two lovebirds, I am craving more! Are you listening CVs and directors?? I want more!!
And finally I know Arnav's hormones did not go on a holiday!!
Yay!! Double celebration!!
What theā¦no morning after scene?? Never mind I am happy I got rabba-ve!!
Chotta sa ASR!!
Khushi as usual was creating a scene at the tailor's shop because they spoilt her birthday surprise and there she meets Chotta sa ASR!
Let me add here, the boy was just too cute playing Arnav Singh Raizaada. His gelled hair, his "What the", his attitude, his words, his expressive eyes, even his clothings all spoke out Arnav Singh Raizaiada's name at every instant.
His words, "It was not my mistake and it never is" transported not only Khushi back in time when she met Arnav but also me. I was left thinking did Arnav Singh Raizaada suddenly became 20 years younger.
Child-woman VS Child-Man
What a strange interaction!
The grown woman who still is a child at heart and has not grown up yet is pictured fighting with a boy who was yet to grow up, but acts as if he is an adult and that the world is at his feet.
Amazing contrast for me!
Real or Dream?
It definitely is real Khushi, not a dream at all.
The reasons I want to watch this track ā Chotta sa ASR
1) I want to see Arnav's interaction with this small boy who is an exact replica of him. I want to know how he handles this small boy because I for one, was waiting eagerly for Anjali's child as I desperately wanted to see Mama ASR handling his niece. But that never happened, so at least here got a child who is supposedly Arnav's. I want to see where this track goes to.
2) I want to see how Khushi deals with the revelation that there were other girls in Arnav's lives even before her. And she only knew about Lavanya. I want to see how a traditional girl like Khushi will deal with Arnav's past love lives.
I am eagerly waiting for today's show at 8pm.
