I really have to think whether I 'like' it or not. I don't like suicide. There is a finality to it and i will never associate it with Khushi. I can laugh and give 100 reasons for people's fallibilities and weaknesses but life is too precious to give up for any person. It is taken away anyway without our permission, so I can never willingly and knowingly accept such an action. I would rather a person walks out of the door rather than a window.

So...😭

Edit

Liked simply for the beautiful way you have written the piece and the poetic way of expression.

I agree Usha, I DO NOT endorse suicide myself, but it is the harsh reality of our lives, some weather the storm, some give up. This is one way to tell people not to give up. Khushi gave up by killing herself here and Arnav lives on valuing life even without her.

It was painfully beautiful...

I don't deny the fact that as a writer you excelled again with the variation this time, as always. Vastly different from your normal FF, with colors as your key subject, you just took the narration brilliantly. As a reader, as a much I liked your narration I don't deny the fact I equally disliked it as well. It's just my personality of disliking anything that's sad, be it a movie, book, or real life misfortune. No hard feelings though.

I have always wondered about that. What must be the state of a woman if she feels that not being accepted by a man is such a life threatening thing that she decides to take her life. Is a man worth it?

My friend and myself had just finished our studies. We both went into different streams. She became a teacher and i started corporate life. On one of my visits to her house, i met a colleague of hers, very beautiful lady, very smart, who it seems was married to a businessman and had a 10 year old son. I was telling my friend how stunning she was and what a personality she had. She was earning well on her own. Two weeks later my friend told me that that lady had committed suicide. She came to my house and was in such a shocked state. She said, she had gone to pay her condolences to the family on the 4th day and the husband was sitting and drinking with his friends. We both could not get over the whole incident. We kept wondering why would she do such a thing. Even in a worst case scenario of her husband being a b******, why did she decide to commit suicide instead of walking out. Why so much dependency on a man accepting you?

As you say, harsh realities of life.
