ASR vs Khushi

Why this sautela treatment of characters? While ASR as we know has seen growth in character by leaps and bounds, Khushi seems to be stagnant or more like disintegrating. Yes, loyal Khushi fans justify her every antic, though we ourselves cringe at some of them, but for how long? Khushi, when the show started was shown as a bubbly, happy go lucky girl, whose only aim in life was to make others happy. She was a melodrama queen, no doubt, but never a brainless bimbo.

However, the sad truth is while ASR was being transformed without compromising his original make up, Khushi's original make up has been compromised while being transformed into this new alien character. What is sadder is this characterization is being validated not only by CV's but fans ourselves. CV's take the liberty of justifying her character saying she is a simple person and we fans 'haan min haan mila dethe hain', both forgetting being 'simple' doesnae mean 'simple minded', which is what Khushi gets portrayed as more often than not. And this ridicule of her character happens only when CV's need filler episodes. So since Lakshmiji is MIA, Khushi is our new Lakshmiji! Hence swamy drama, water fight @ AR designs, Pool side dhobi ghaat, bathing ASR in public, hose pipe shower for ASR (again) in public, kamlesh khabri and follow up suicide, etc., etc., etc...

All of us who justify Khushi's portrayal saying that is what we fell in love with, when are we gonna stop being ostriches and expect and demand character growth for Khushi? When will the CV's show growth in her character? Or, are we to assume that there is no room for growth just because of this hypothesis that Khushi is UNIQUE and hence by extension PERFECT?
