Khushi has been emptying her bag as a part of the search for the missing necklace, when she is suddenly brought up short as her fingers come into contact with something… the change in her expression does not go unnoticed… Mami is jubilant, while the others look on in disbelief and shock…
But strange are the workings of Fate… and Gods… or Goddesses… or… erm… goats…😆
Khushi pulls out "The Mannat ki Chabi"… which sends her flying to another time, another place…
here at a time when her dignity and integrity are being questioned, she is infinitely soothed by the feel of that small metal key… which has a strange, unexplained hold over her… she turns her bag inside out, upside down, scattering foolish debris all over the Raizada's immaculate coffee table and carpet… Mami is frustrated, while the rest of the family and Lavanya are relieved…
And Laxmi makes her Grand Entry… with Anjali's necklace around her neck…
Hain? Hello Hi Bye Bye! Ee Kaa? Monkey ke gale mein motiyan ka haar to sune hai… lekin Laxmi ke Gale mein Anjali ka haar… first time dekhe hain…😆
Anjali consoles Khushi wordlessly… Khushi smiles through her heartache… but her two champions sense her sadness and set about cheering her up… Anjali and Lavanya team up to bring back Khushi's smile… Anjali brings Khushi to the kitchen where Lavanya is waiting for them with all the jalebi making paraphernalia ready…
Lavanya and Khushi are in the kitchen, bonding over jalebis… baaton baaton mein, Khushi shares her dreams of making jalebis for her future husband… she also advises Lavanya to do the same for ASR…
To which, Lavanya answers that there are two obstacles to that…
1. ASR ko sugar se problem hai
2. ASR ko Shaadi se problem hai
Khushi finds a solution for each… make sugar free jalebis and convince ASR for marriage…
La asks her what is wrong with a live-in relationship… Khushi assures her that the problem is not with live in, but with the tides of time and change…
She further goes on to say that, today Lavanya is young, beautiful… what of tomorrow… when she is old? White hair, wrinkled skin, bags under the eyes…
Poor Lavanya is rattled…😆 nateeja…
Ek daydream… aisa bhi…
It was hilarious… who can forget La's dream… it was rib-tickling… it was funny…
… it was thought provoking…
What was it between ASR and Lavanya Kashyap? What held them together? What was the guarantee that this relationship was for keeps?
In her own way, Khushi had succeeded in making Lavanya address a few vital questions… the question was not about morality, or about culture or anti-westernization… the question was about the foundations of a relationship that she thought existed between ASR and herself.
La was insecure… always insecure of her place in ASR's life… for her he was ASR… the unattainable… but by some fluke, he had deigned to honour her with his attention. And she was suitably grateful… but never can it be said that she thought him her own… he was never "Arnav" for Lavanya Kashyap…
… he was never "Arnavji" for her…😊
ASR probably never gave La serious thought… he needed a GF and La qualified, that's it…
Anyway, Khushi's middle class gyan brings out the innate woman in La… an ordinary woman who craves security and surety from her man… who wants to know beyond doubt, what her place is in her "partner's" life.
So when Khushi talks of commitment, Lavanya's thoughts start to dwell on her insecurities…
Burayi aaj mein nahi hai Lavanya Ji, kal mein hai… Aaj toh aap jawaan hai… khoobsoorat hai… kal toh aap boodhi ho jaaogi…
What? Boodhi, or main…😆
Saphed baal… jhooriyaan… ankhon ke neeche gadde…
And Lavanya is scared…
In her dream… sorry nightmare… she is in front of the mirror… considerably aged…
🤣
ASR, tum mere liye abroad se woh age-lifting waali cream le aaye kya… jisse main humesha young dikhoongi…
A familiar and impatient voice answers her…
Enough, Lavanya… main kuch aisa lekar aaya hoon jisse tum jawaan nahi, dikhogi hi nahi…🤣
What?
Boy! 4lions have given us some trademark… landmark dream sequences… this one took the cake…🤣
Tumhari cream ka stock khatam ho chukka hai! Aur mere zindagi mein tumhara time bhi…😆
Aur yeh dono kaun hai?
Yeh hai Shivanya… aur yeh hai Sharanya…. (Wow! Even the names rhyme!🤣)
Ab main inke saath rahunga…
Live in… in dono ke saath?
Lavanya, Live in ka koi rule nahi hota… Bina shaadi ke koi husool nahi hota…😉
Aur mere jaisa koi fool nahi hota…😆
Just look at this guy! He is having more fun in his old age than he had in his youth… Two girlfriends at the same time? Not bad, Arnie… Not Bad At All…
Aur is sapne main bhi Nani nahi ho… aisa bhi kabhi nahi hota…
🤣
Dekha Miss Kassap! Saadi na kartne ka natija? Ab toh humri Laxmi ki bhi saadi hui gayi… aur bachhe bhi… aap manayiye apna live-in…
NAHIIINNN!!!!😆
Lavanya smells the coffee… and Khushi gives her further Gyaan…
Baat sirf aapki nahi hai Lavanya Ji! Baat un laakhon karodon mahilaon ki haq ki hai… Mard toh aise hi hote hain… lekin ek aurat ke liye, bina shaadi ke, na koi haq hai, aur na koi Adhikaar…
(Wah! Kya baat kahi hain, Khushi Ji… a simple minded girl from Lucknow… and she knows so much about men… it was really funny hearing her parroting dialogues from older, more rigid folks… who were set in their ways… Khushi, dear Khushi had a lot of growing up to do. And yes, Lavanya too needed a wake up call. Both needed to see both sides of the other's ideologies and make a conscious decision based on what is best for them, and not based on the prevailing norms… be it traditional… or ever so modern.)
😊
Toh, mujhe is "Car" ke liye kya karna padega?🤣
"Car" nahin, "Adhikaar"😆
Whatever!😆
Khushi prompts Lavanya to convince ASR to agree for marriage… and Lavanya asks her … "how?"
Humari Amma kehti hai, ki jisse rishte ki taar judi ho, agar uski haathon, matlab, aapke mann ke meet ke haathon, aapke sir pe chunari gir jaaye, toh us Jodi ko shaadi ke bandhan mein jud jaane se koi bhi nahi rok sakta…
😉
Khushi pulls a clueless Lavanya into one of her hairbrained schemes…
Youth and folly… innocence and mischief… excitement and girlish machinations… yes, the girls begin to grow up together… Lavanya and Khushi, basking in their new-found friendship set out on a journey together, both unaware of the fact that both are travelling towards the same destination… where one is destined to reach her love, while the other has to give up her journey half-way…
… a journey filled with light and laughter, tears and heart-break, goodwill, dignity and sacrifice… but never bitterness… yes, that was the beauty of this story… a story of love, undoubtedly, but a story of friendship too…
😊
Anjali brings Arnav up to date on the necklace fiasco, and how poor Khushi was subjected to the indignity of a search… though he tells Anjali to put it out of his mind… Arnav is clearly feeling bad for Khushi. Whatever else he may have believed her to be… he knew she was not a thief… he may say hurtful thing to her to her face, but he knew in his heart of hearts that she was as honest as the day.
He walks out of the room, and down the corridor, preoccupied with his thoughts…
Khushi finds that chattering with Lavanya has made her late… muttering to herself that Buaji will have her hide if she delays any longer… she sets out in a hurry… not really looking where she is going…
WHAM!
It takes a while for Khushi to realize that she has walked into Arnav. She tries to step back, when she realizes that her earring is stuck in his clothes…
Arnav too is surprised to find his arms full of soft, tempting Khushi…
This time there is no anger or passion of any sort on his face… it is softness, just softness… but just as strong a feeling as those he had felt towards her before…
Seeing her struggle to free herself, hurting herself in the process, he stops her and disentangles her from her earring…
Then he hands over her earring… scrutinizing her face… memorizing each and every feature… each and every emotion…
Awkwardness… the great Arnav Singh Raizada is standing there on the landing of the staircase… holding out a silly bit of cheap jewelry to Khushi Kumari Gupta…
Khushi, unused to such courtesy is confused… she takes the earring from him slowly and puts it back where it belongs…
Instead of leaving immediately, he stays on to watch… he keeps his gaze fixed on her.
Once finished with the earring, she tries leaving… once again, DM has other plans… I have always maintained that Khushi's Dupatta is female, stubborn, and a shameless flirt… she clung on to Arnav… Dupatta, not Khushi… Oh! Duppatta Ji also had fantabulous taste in men!
This time it is Khushi who disentangles herself… eyelock and trepidation… and hesitation…
He brings himself to ask the signature dialogue… "Tum Theek ho?" he referring to the necklace issue… and he wants to know if she is alright… if Mami's jibes haven't hurt her beyond measure… Arnav, you see, can't bear anyone else hurting her…
Astonished and wide-eyed, she looks at him… her wonder clearly visible in her eyes for him to see. She was astonished that he could talk to her so civilly… that he bothered about her enough to ask if she was alright… that he was aware enough of her existence and the events in her insignificant life… she nods wordlessly. They remain there, almost for an eternity, both unwilling to leave, both rooted to the spot, both gazing at each other… when they are prodded out of their happy bubble by Anjali's "Chotte…"
Khushi walks away. Arnav stays there looking after her… as if feeling his eyes on her, she turns back to look at him once more… just once more…
Khushi reaches home. Shaym expecting her to be upset and anticipating an evening spent in consoling her is surprised to see her happy and chirpy as ever…
Payal asks her how was her day, and Khushi, though at first assailed by memories of Mami's accusation… remembers The Laad Governor's smile and Lavanya's friendship… and smiles.
Shyam watches a happy Khushi recounting the events of the day to her sister, and is fuming. He calls up Anjali to know what happened and is informed of laxmi's rescue operation. Shyam doesn't give up… though irked by his failure, he proceeds to his next plan and makes a phone call. He is hell bent on stopping Khushi going to Raizada House.
The next day, Arnav is surprised by a Chamkilified Lavanya…🤣
ASR wants to know what is happening… but Lavanya is on the phone… she is acting according to long distance deportment lessons… on Traditional Indian Housewifery… courtesy Prof. Khushi Kumari Gupta… Lavanya asks ASR to wait for his cue…
Ek minute ASR!...🤣
Khushi is giving Lavanya tuitions over the phone…😆
Diligent pupil that she is, she parrots everything her Guru says…
Khushi gives her, her first dialogue…
Aap kal raat theek se soye?
Nahi, Madam Ji, itne khatmal the ki so hi nahi paaye… (Bechara Auto driver… thought Khushi was talking to him…🤣)
Aap kal raat theek se soye?
What's wrong with you?🤣 (OMG! This guy is hilarious when baffled!)
But Lavanya isn't done yet… in her anxiety to do her teacher proud, she even mouths the dialogues meant for the driver of the autorikshaw…
Bas, bas! Yehi rukiye…. Kitna hua?🤣
Lavanya Ji, hum aapse nahi keh rahe… "Aap chai peeyenge ya coffee?"😆
The farce doesn't end there… just as Lavanya is getting mixed up… Khushi madam is confusing the hapless auto driver on this side… thinking she is inviting him for coffee, he politely refuses her offer… citing regretfully, the reason that he is married….🤣
"Humari Shaadi hui hai, Madam Ji, varna zaroor peete…"
Aap chai peeyenge ya coffee?
By now, ASR has bypassed confusion, worry and other emotions and is in his comfort zone… "Anger"
Still, holding on to his temper by its frayed edges… he rebuffs Lavanya…
Mujhe jo bhi peena hai, main breakfast table pe pee loonga… aur yeh subah subah kya lagaa rakha hai tumne… aur yeh pehna kya hua hai? Please change. Pata nahi, subah subah kya mazaak soojh raha hai tumhein…
Thwack! Action Udhar…😆
Reaction idhar… "Hey, Devi Maiyya!"🤣
Devi Maiyya?🤣 (Somethings are so powerful, as to be beyond even The Great Arnav Singh raizada's comprehension…)
Lesson number one… you can plan all you want to, but there is no guarantee that they follow through unhindered…
Yeh toh… connection toot gaya…😆
Set adrift at sea, Lavanya proceeds to the next plan of action… "The Chunari Funda"
Irritated to the core, Arnav is no mood to entertain her idiocies … he asks her to change…
For him, Khushi is only one… he cannot bear to see her in anyone else… what he tolerates or perhaps prefers in Khushi, he could not understand or forgive in others… her glitter, her conservativeness of dress, her pom poms… her habit of muttering "Hey Devi Maiyya", the rest of her irritating habits… all these are a part and parcel of Khushi… without "Khushi"… the rest are meaningless…
He pulls the chunni out of poor La's hands and flings it away…
😉
…. and Devi Maiyya does the rest…
I loved the episode today. They have showed everything as it should be . No romance has been put in forcefully as ARHI are sacred of the implications of their plan to expose Shyam in front of family .
So Shall we start with the episode analysis. We once again start with Shyam today , he is sleeping and hears his phone ringing and before he can pick up it dis connects. And to his surprise he sees a beautiful flower design on the floor with fairy lights around it. As soon as he touches it bhooop he gets a shock and his mind recollects his misdeeds done to his wife. Yes fear psychosis is in play here, as they say a criminal is always sacred when things that he has done comes once again in front of him , its fear of being caught. That is what is happening to our resident villain. At the same time Anjali walks in and is worried looking at Shyam . She informs him that she planned a surprise on their anniversary and becomes teary eyed. Shyam hug and consoles her. Why does this lady always keeps crying man, I mean forget it . She is a cry baby nothing else. She gives him the Pink muffler , what in the world is Anjali thinking I mean a pink color , looking at SHyam's personality it will never suit him . And which man in the world will want to wear pink colour as muffler. Well maybe there are man like that but I haven't come across them as yet.
Next they show Anjali picking up flowers for her Puja which Arnav notices and turns back to his room maybe and brings down a wooden box. Makes his sister sit with him at the poolside . He becomes emotional and tells his sister to open the box and there are Rakhis in it from all these years since their childhood. He tells her that he has always vowed to protect her and her happiness and will never let anyone destroy it. Anjali is confused as to why is he talking in this manner, but Arnav tells her that will she forgive him if he ever hurts her and she tells him this can never happen. I loved this scene , the Bro-Sis bond is simply beautiful here, a brother is sacred and worried for his sister as he knows that hi Sister will breakdown on hearing her Husband's truth . He does not want to hurt her but he has to do it in order to protect her , the pain , sadness so brilliantly portrayed by BArun here. His eyes speak volumes , It bought tears in my eyes .
Anjali is also concerned and asks him what's the matter and here Khushi relies that seeing her bidaai he has become emotional. Khushi asks for her blessing and tells her that they will never hurt her intentionally . Anjali is so moved by this gesture and hugs both of them. Yes Arhi are worried for Anjali as they do not wish to see her hurt , but they know this truth has to come out for Anjali to be a strong woman and that she will be. I have a feeling that the mother in Anjali will come out in full force and will not spare Shyam this time around. She will not come in his sweet talks and will punish him. He has killed he rchild and no mother will ever tolerate that .
Next we scene Shyam- Anjali taking the blessing of the family and Payal giving her a gift . Arhi say they haven't got anything for her but Khushi gives her a tray to be taken to the Mandir. It will always be Khushi to show the right path to Anjali is what I could feel in this scene .
Everybody is working to decorate the house for the party in the evening. Mami wants help from ARHI but they ignore her as they our lost in their thoughts. Anjali is back from the mandir and us very happy with the decorations done in the house by everybody . There are no guests in this party only family members.
In their room SHyam gifts Anjali the mangalsutra and very smartly leaves the price tag and fakes innocence for it . the ever gullible Anjali signs a cheque of 5 lakhs and gives it to him. Now dear lady you are worried about your husband's hard earned money used , darling what about your brother's money . Does that come without any hard work. I am surprised at this lady it's a husband's duty to take care of his wife but our Anjali keeps on feeding him here and never questions anything. As Shyam rightly said all happiness to me and all sadness in your jholi Rani Saheba. Khushi takes Anji to change in the other room and isharo mein tells Nk to carry on with their next step. Shyam is happy with his cheque when he suddenly hears voice of a crying baby and is totally sacred.
So finally we are moving toward the unveiling of Shyam , this time directly from the horse's mouth with proofs. I want this to be executed well so that we connect with it and no dragging for 4 episodes like last time. I want Arnav to hand him over to the police for sure around this time , but I think this might not happen. They will just throw him out and leave him scot free if they want to keep the past angle of Shyam open . Now interesting times ahead in IPK land , let's see what we have in store here. After this track for some time I surely want Arhi romance and hope CV's give us a breezingly fresh romance .
So guys and girls for Drama, mystery , suspense, fun and a little bit of romance tune into IPK from Mon- Fri this week only at 8 PM on SP .
From the slow dragging of episodes from March onwards with no proper closures of tracks, for the past two weeks, we viewers are glued to the screen every 8pm (India Time) anticipating what is going to happen today! If you ask me whether I like it, you are absolutely wrong because I am practically loving it!!
The fast-paced episodes, the impact of every small scenes to create the backdrop of the storyline, the blend of all the characters together, the anticipation, the love and bond that is shown within a family, the surprise element that all the viewers know that the CVs can throw at us any point in time, brings me nostalgic memories of this drama that was shown one year back and which I fell in love with. J
My highlight for today's analysis will be centred upon the brother-sister bond that we witnessed today.
Arnav-Anjali's bond!!
Toffee se meethi hai
Chooran se khatti hai
Khatti meethi hai teri kahani
Anjali di hai sabse sayani
Papad ka thukda hai
Jab dekho ukhda hai
Deta hai apne dil ko aasoon mote mote
Woh hai gusse waala
Hamara chotte
A lovable, sweet and protective brother and sister bond that we witnessed ever since the first episode. The poem above says everything about the relationship that Arnav and Anjali share, and their love for each other. Since the day their parents passed away, they were each other's strengths and weakness.
Arnav/Chotte became ASR because of the need to protect his sister, to fulfill her needs and to make sure she lived comfortably no matter what. Anjali had to draw strength to keep Arnav in check with his anger and hatred and to also deal with the loss of both her parents on her wedding day which led to her becoming a 'symbolic mother' in Arnav's life. Both these siblings have encountered all the ups and downs together in their lives, and they have always only stood beside each other.
During the first episode, we witnessed the way Arnav took Anjali in his hands when she was about to fall down the ramp. It is his way to proclaim the love and bond that he shares with his sister and to symbolically say that "Every step of her life/way, he will be there with her whether it is to protect her or love her unconditionally like no one else".
During the Teej episode, when nothing could distract the Great Arnav Singh Raizada from his work, just a call claiming Anjali was sick' he left everything to be by her side and to guide her to the temple and to ensure she keeps well again. There is nothing more important to him than his sister's wellbeing and health, and also the scene when he was concerned about her doctor's appointment for her leg check-up also highlight this.
Another episode when Arnav and Anjali had a fight because Anjali brought Khushi home and the temple scene thereafter, till date this scene has been one of the best brother-sister's scenes in IPK history. The tears that flow from a brother/son who considers his sister as his mother and to tell her that he did not mean any words that he said to her. The pain when she went missing, his struggle to find her, the relief and happiness when he finally found her. His words, "I don't care about others, my Real World is You!" Extraordinary!
Another scene is during Payal and Akash's wedding and Anjali got into an accident. The pain that Arnav felt was overwhelming. The way he ran after hearing the news, disbelieving that something untoward happened to his sister, his helplessness and when he finally found her safe but with a few bruises' his tears, his relief'no words to describe the moment'everything else stoodstill.
Amidst all these pain, Anjali's words "That what is going to happen tomorrow no one knows, even what is going to happen the next minute. If you want to say something to someone, say it at that moment itself'you don't know what it is going to change the next time". These words made Arnav think about Khushi and to go to her and tell him about what he feels for her. Anjali has always been instrumental for the growth of Arnav's and Khushi's relationship and up till now, she is.
To protect his sister's blissful married life, he married a girl for 6 months and did not understand that he destroyed a girl's dreams and happiness within seconds. All that mattered to Arnav was his sister, and if anyone hindered the happiness that she truly deserves, the person will face the wrath of Arnav Singh Raizada. Him marrying Khushi was right for him as he is safeguarding his sister's wishes, and it does not matter if he loses his peace, sleep and joy for it or anyone else.
Arnav has always vowed to fulfill all of Anjali's wishes ever since he was young. Him going to the mosque to fulfill his sister's mannat, him doing aarthi during festivals or always doing everything that she tells him to do. He did everything whether he liked it or not because for him his sister told him to do it.
Anjali is also nothing less.
When no one else can notice her chotte's feelings or emotions, it is always she who sees or feels it first. She welcomed Lavanya into the family (even though she knew deep down that for her Chotte Lavanya is not the right girl) all because she knows her brother is happy with Lavanya. She always claims she can read her brother's eyes because they can never lie.
When Arnav was upset after the Guest House incident, and was wanting to know whether Khushi was safe, it was Anjali who knew what he wanted, called the Gupta house and told him that Khushi was fine.
It was Anjali who wished upon the falling star to ask for a wish for her brother'that he find a girl who loves him for who he is unconditionally. And, also told him that when a girl enters his life, he can never let her go because he would feel that he cannot breath if she leaves.
It was this same Anjali who could not bear any hurts or bruises on her brother. Example: the cut on his hand from Khushi's bangle, the scarring from the hot tea.
When something bad happens to her brother, we see the anguish of a mother who could not protect her son from the bad things.
It has always been Anjali who was instrumental to bring Arnav's and Khushi's love story together for them to bond.
1) During the Mehendi scene when she witnessed the scene between Arnav and Khushi
2) During the time Sundari and Shaitan episode, it was Anjali who understood what was going on between Arnav and Khushi which incidentally led to the Swami act
3) During Holi, Arnav confessed what he truly feels for Khushi to Anjali first before Khushi herself
4) During the episode when Arnav confesses to Anjali that he did not love Khushi before marriage but only after that, which ultimately made him bring back Khushi from the Gupta house
Anjali and Arnav have witnessed all the ups and downs in their lives together. When Arnav hid from love and emotions, Anjali craved for love and belonging. And that was when she met Shyam, a guy who plays with people's weaknesses for them to dance to his tunes.
Anjali found solace in Shyam's deceit, he played with her emotions and showed her the caring side of him that she always wanted and craved for. He accepted her for her weaknesses, which not only for her, but for all of us is a huge thing. If someone loves us for our imperfections, we are very thrilled, happy and love the person beyond anything else in the world. For Anjali, first it was her broken marriage, secondly her vulnerability of being handicapped. These two things are enough for the society that she lives in to ridicule her.
And what does she get?? A guy like Shyam, who she feels came into her life as a gift from God himself, and accepts and loves her for who she really is.
Isn't this what every girl wants at the end of the day? A guy who loves you for everything that you are, our mothers always tells us this right'the importance of loving a person even with their shortcomings. How are we supposed to blame Anjali for being blind towards her husband Shyam, who in her eyes is a perfect human being.
What Anjali fails to realise is that "The World is Never a Nice Place". She is living in her bubble of dreams. Reminds me of a quote, "It is very easy to wake up someone who is sleeping, but it is very difficult to wake up the same person who is pretending to sleep".
We saw the latter part of this quote played upon during the whole Didikisaut track. Anjali did not believe anyone, not even her own brother. She hated living and everyone else because they burst her whole dreams, threw her husband out of the house, she was holding on to her dreams tightly believing only herself and not others. She went to the extent of aborting her own baby just because she did not have her husband beside her.
This very same Anjali who was pretending to sleep all this while, is now going to wake up to face reality. The truth that she was all this while running away from is going to hit her very badly. The aftermath of this storm is yet to be foreseen. Will we get another pitiful, sympathetic Anjali or a Durga-ma roop Anjali??( I for one would love to see a Durga-ma roop Anjali, I refuse to accept that Anjali, an ardent believer of Durga-ma/Devi Maiyya does not have the courage to face reality and fight it, as anyone who prays to the Goddess know that those who pray to her with all their heart gain the boundless courage and bravery that emits out from Durga-ma herself.)
There is another saying, "A wife can tolerate any injustice done to her, but not a mother who witnesses injustice done to her child." This is definitely the part when the promo comes into play. The much-awaited slap in Television industry, between a wife and a husband.
But is this truth enough for Anjali to know the real truth of her husband? How he cheated the Gupta parivaar? How got himself engaged to Khushi deceitfully? What he told Arnav during Payal and Akash's wedding? All the murder plans he conjured up??
The multi-million dollar questions??
Is this truth enough to set Anjali free from Shyam's hands??
Is this the end of Shyam Manohar Jha??
I want to believe that Anjali will be set free from Shyam after this great revelation that he killed their baby and was acting as if he was remorseful about the whole incident. She would render the required punishment to Shyam's atrocitities by throwing him out of the house and their lives after this. Whether he would be jailed has to be seen.
But if you ask me whether it is the end of Shyam Manohar Jha, then sadly it is not the end. The drama only ends when the villan changes for the better or he dies. Both of these scenarios have not happened yet. So Kahani abhi toh baakhi hai mera dosth!
Coming back to the episode and the scene between Arnav and Anjali.
The scene starts off with Arnav coming down the stairs and is made to stop in his wake when he sees his sister happily and contentedly plucking flowers for the thaali. The sadness that passed through him when he sees his sister was really sad. L
He goes to her and shows her the box, Arnav's treasure chest!! The memories, the wishes and the blessings that Anjali showered upon her brother since their childhood. The collection of Rakhis!!
Raksha bandhan has always been a sacred ceremony for both these siblings. It always coincides with the brother vowing to protect his sister from every calamity that can cause disruption or sadness in her life. A sister who does not want any presents or gifts because her biggest present in life is standing before her eyes, her brother.
The joy that the sister feels that her brother kept all the rachis safely all throughout these years was priceless. Daljeet take a bow!
The same brother who always promised to protect her happiness every year is now caught in crossroads as he has to commit the inevitable: To destroy his sister's happiness in one blow. The very sister who gave him the responsibility to safeguard her happiness.
The pain and struggle Arnav was facing made me tear up'it was an heart-wrenching scene.
The statement, "Nothing is more important than Anjali's happiness. If anyone or any situation interferes with Anjali's happiness, Arnav will not tolerate it". This statement says it all, 6 months ago he destroyed an innocent girl's life for this, and now 6 months later, he will destroy the husband of his very sister who caused her pain by trying to kill her.
But the irony of the situation is, it has become a war between the two people Anjali loves beyond anything else in the world. Her brother VS Her Husband.
Who will win'needless to say the righteous will always win in the end, even if they lose halfway through.
What a better moment to symbolize and reiterate the love, the protection that a brother vowed to his sister every year on Raksha bandhan day, other than by creating yet another unofficial Raksha bandhan ceremony, filled with only love and no glamour.
Kudos to the CVS for an awesome, epic scene!
I sincerely hope that when the truth comes out in front of Anjali, she remembers all these words of her Chotte!
That whatever he has done, is doing and will do in the future will always be to protect Anjali's happiness.
His first priority will always be Anjali's happiness and that he will always take care of her.
She believes her own words that it is impossible for her brother to never hurt her
That she trusts him!
Another scene that made me witness the love of Arnav for Anjali is when Arnav saw Shyam, and he started seething with anger. He saw the man who caused his sister so much pain but still he was not able to do anything hurtful to him. His anger and helplessness clearly showed itself.
If you remember, on Friday Arnav told Khushi why must they tell Anjali on the day of her anniversary? She is so happy and that he has no heart to break Anjali's heart and shatter her happiness. It was really because this same Arnav was the one who vowed to protect her happiness, and now when it came to the point that he has to break it, he has no courage to do it.
He also remembers the last time when his sister lost her happiness, what happened to her. She became hysterical and he almost lost her at the end. As such, Arnav does not want to see her break down yet again especially on the day that she is special to her and the day she deserves all the happiness in the world.
But Khushi was there to tell him that letting evil go free for even one more day, will only create more despair and hurt, one day's of sadness brings with it a lifetime of happiness.
I wrote in my post on Friday and I will say it again, Arnav will be the down who will hammer the last nail in the coffin'even though it is Khushi's plans.
Love feels no burden, thinks nothing of trouble, attempts what is above its strength, pleads no excuse of impossibility; for it thinks all things lawful for itself, and all things possible. Thomas Kempis
