Karan Singh Grover heated up the small screen as Dr. Armaan of Star One' Dill Mill Gayye and became the TV heartthrob.

After playing a successful inning with DMG, he couldn't bag any major show. Last he was seen in Star Plus' Teri Meri Love Stories but Karan is now all geared up to play his second inning with Zee TV's offering Qubool Hai.

Well, the lad who was popular with his Dr. Armaan Malik's image- cool, funky and notorious, is now preparing himself to play just opposite shade of his earlier. The Casanova boy will now perform an angry-bad man's character in Qubool Hai.

The show, which is set to bench-mark with its theme of Muslim background, will show Karan as Asad, a tough and rude man, who has struggled a lot in his life. His role is said to be copied from 80s film Trishul, starring Amitabh Bachchan.

According to source, Asad has had a rough road to success and aims to be the most successful business tycoon. While his will be an angry young man role, the female protagonist Zoya, played by Surbhi Jyoti is a modern day's girl. Ayan the parallel lead in the show played by newbie Rishabh Shukla is a happy-go-lucky guy who does not take things seriously.
