Awesome post Priya, I agree wholeheartedly. the PH is the most unprofessional PH ever, putting all the blame on their Cash Cow is the stupidest thing they can do & have done. I for don't blame Barun for anything, if he wants to leave, so be it, he is under no obligation beyond the contract to stay tied to this show. If he want s to explore greener pastures, then we as fans should support him in his decisions.

I love Barun AS ASR, I wouldn't have given a damn if Raj left DMG or Shravan left BHPH, but this isn't them, this is ASR. ASR made me love Barun, and it is ASR which will help me forget him, if that's what is to happen then so be it. I'm selfish like that. If I am a fan of Leonardo Di Caprio it is only for his portrayal of Romeo, Shane West only for his role of Landon Carter, Shahrukh Khan only for his acts in Karan Johar flicks, Ian Somerhalder only because he played Damon Salvatore and Barun Sobti only because he plays Arnav Singh Raizada. Yes my liking is conditional, I did not support him in his previous roles and will not support him in his future roles. I always knew ASR would come to an end one day and so will my being a fan of Sobti, what I didn't know was that it would happen this quick. Anyway, some wise man said 'happiness comes in small packages' and ASR was short-lived yes but was amazing while he was there. I will always thank Sobti for bringing such a complex character to life, and playing it so well for all this time.

Google'd definition of 'fan': A person who has a strong interest in or admiration for a particular sport, art or entertainment form, or famous person.

My 'interest' and 'admiration' of Sobti starts and ends at his portrayal of ASR. Obviously it is upsetting that he's considering dropping ASR's role, but then again, that's entirely his decision and as a fan I respect that.

PS: Yes IPK is special to me, but that doesn't make me a senseless fanatic whose life starts and ends with the show. The show holds one hour of my attention every business day of the week for the last 16 months so it definitely has some importance and I'd like it if people appreciate that if bashing me for sounding sentimental or stupid.

enough of this railing against a guy who has done his job better than many and has given us endless hours of enjoyment.

free adult citizen of a free country, has the right to choose his own work. that's all. as long as he completes his contract, who are we to go on about his career decisions.

you are so right about the dirt in this situation. those questions you ask are valid, relevant, spot on. why are we suddenly privy to all the internal matters and negotiations of the ph?

he is a fantastic actor, he has delivered over and beyond expectation. i only wish to thank him. and wish him well whatever he decides to do.

U know what the people who talk they own him should know one thing, for fans and viewers this show might be very emotional, very attached but for an actor along with emotional attachment it is his Job just like other jobs. People jump from one company to another from one position to another that doesnt mean they cheated they lied they ditched their company, they explored their talent, bus!

At the end of the day the one's who talk as if they own him do not sign his pay cheques , do they?

if someday he even decides to move then im all for it, he needs to take risk and explore more as he has it in him, he has talent , age, looks.

he may nt be successful or he may be even more successful, destiny will decide that

He came to TV by taking risk, by leaving behind a job that he worked for so long..

i dnt understand the talks and the bashing on him, few talk like they own him and he owes them.. IMO the only thing he owes me is a free dine with him probably, uske alawa kuch nahi😆 He has worked all these days loyally, he has done his job. One needs to respect even what he has given to this role as much as he has taken. Its a two way handshake

How a person cumes to knw abt these Secreat contract thing?? n that too contradictory to SP mails they send to ppl fr barun query..

very very well put Divs... I loved my first company, but when I got a better job, I switched to it without thinking twice, so am I unprofessional. People forget what Barun himself says all the time 'I am just doing my job'. What does IPK have to offer him now? The new found status of 'dikra'fied husband of poor Khushi? If he thinks a certain channel is offering him better show, that pays him better, why shouldnt he take it?

Tell me something, Star Plus didnt think twice before nikaaling Gopi bau, then why are they negotiating in Barun's case? If he was wrong and adamant they would care 2 hoots for him, but here things are different. Barun is not in the picture at all. How I wish I could make these people understand with all the facts I know 😆

Barun is and has always been an easy target for forum to pounce upon.

why nt make a petition and and for clarification from the PH itself, its the PH who are letting insiders out then come out and talk in open, wtever be it, we will take it
