Rits, agree with u completly. Its his life n his decision. We r nobody to rule or advise.

He left a stable job for the 'unstable' acting career, when he had not yet signed a show n had no 'fan girls'. He did his first show.. Which wasnt a great success! Opted out of the next show, when he got a better offer. That was a major step... Becoz, the show he was leaving had a huge fan base. Still, he took the risk n earned 'shravan' which in turn earnd him ASR...

So, risks are not unknown to him and he is not some one, who ventured out to acting becoz of any Godfather in d industry or after winning beauty contests.

So, if he is getting offers, he should take a chance. He cant keep on establishing himself as ASR til he is 40, n then do 'Main aur My 40+Mr. Right'.

Just as IF 'phangirls' doesnt matter, IF Critics' also doesnt matter.

Let the man decide...!

There is no doubt that the guy has a lot of potential. He has shown the range of his acting skills. In BHPH, he played a very different character and was quiet spontaneous in that role. He has the potential to be in BW but is yet not a finished product. He is hard working and come across as a very humble and well brought up individual.
He just needs good roles and good luck.
I really wish him all the best. I really think that in TV atleast nobody has shown that much depth and range in their acting skills.

And one more thing, those who r offering him work are not his 'fangirls' for sure!

So unlike 'phan girls' like me, they wud hav seen his 'below par n average performances' too. They wudnt hav gone 'gaga' over his voice modulation. They might hav heard him 'mumble' too! So, even after that, if they chose him, they should be 'intelligent enough' to decide.

As they are nt 'phan girls' they wud be wise to knw what their choice is.

If Barun is nothing without ASR n its the charm of ASR, that makes Barun worthy n even if without ASR, barun is 'zero'... Then also I dont worry.

Because, before 6th June, 2011 happened, BARUN was still an actor, a young television actor, loved by some, un noticed by many. Yet, he had a life, he was an actor, who made it big on his own terms. I'm happy with that!

Let's says that Barun was born to play this role. ASR, was his biggest achievement so far and I dare say , that it always will be.

Sree😊 well written post and you have been very fair minded No one can accuse you of being prejudiced and the pros and cons have been listed real well.

Every actor has right to capitalize on their fame while they can in this rather capricious world of 15 second fame and instant gratification where you are good as only your last performance and you have to extract the maximum you can before the fickle fans move on to the next wannabe

Now if the reports are true although I take it with a huge pinch of salt since it has not come out from the horse's mouth yet I would really hope he goes about decently ending the controversies and hoopla over will he or wont he and make sure there is a proper closure to all his old projects

I hope his leap of faith is not based on the teen tween kid phangurl worship for the national audience is a whole new ball game and they can be merciless in their judgment unlike us here who tend to be indulgent because we enjoy their company daily

I think he is grown enough old enough and wise enough to know what he has to do to go where his heart leads and ultimately his career move his choice and all the very best as and when the move happens

My Personal View

I honestly don't care what actors do or what projects they take up. Once this serial ends my fascination with them as characters SBS SBB the personal bits will cease and I go on with my life and my bucket list

Never been enamored of celebrities and unless I am married related (better be real close and cousins don't count) or have a financial stake or investment I really don't give a marsupials keister what they do I still don't get this vicariously living off some strangers accomplishment I mean should not the thought of themselves/ parent/spouse putting food on the table in these times of recession /sluggish economy be more paramount than some celeb stranger making it to the big leagues (And if some one is planning on arguing that they are rich so they don't have to bother I say good for you and what an awful waste of resources) No one is going to walk the red carpet with them nor get a cut in the profits

Anyway what I do I know about Asian Hero Worship am an FBCD and too selfish for I am concerned only about the fate and accomplishment of people near and dear to me and who actually know me

I sometimes dont get wat he is saying...i had to repeat scenes jst to catch up his dialogues...so even i wish he wont quit ipk...for some thing not sure...asr is a trademark role for him...n will remain his best...abt his acting...i prefer waiting till movie release...
