OS: Dadi, Aunty Called Me Yesterday...I know.

Arnav was frustrated with his Dadi. Had she forgotten it was his wedding? That Khushi was waiting? Nothing else mattered right now other than that... Then he realized that maybe Dadi was going to tell him about it...ATLAST... He was wondering when she would tell him... He began to walk out, feeling annoyed.
"The woman because of who our family broke...The woman responsible for your mother's death, is none other than Garima!" she said dramatically.
Arnav froze. He turned around, feeling annoyed. "No. The MAN responsible for the death of my mother, was YOUR SON!" he retorted.
"Arnav, the woman who trapped your father, leading to your Mother's suicide, was GARIMA!" Dadi said, enjoying internally...IT was payback time.
"NOW you tell me?" he yelled.
"Arnav, I found the photo today! I didn't-" she started.
"ENOUGH Dadi. You DID NOT find the photo TODAY! You found it before itself," he spat.
Dadi was taken aback. Arnav continued relentlessly. "You knew it was her, but you hid it from me till now! Don't deny it Dadi! You know I am right. I also know WHY you waited till today..." Dadi froze, as Arnav stopped for breath. "You wanted Garima to face having her daughter's marriage broken on her wedding day... Just like Di... But HOW COULD YOU DADI!!! You SAW what Di had gone through after that... I know the incident that day made you cold, but I never imagined you would do what destroyed Di, to another human being...to the woman I have given heart and my soul... And who means LIFE to me..."
"Arnav, that woman is a fake-"
"FAKE!? Who are you calling FAKE Dadi... YOU pretended having forgiven her...YOU pretended to accept Khushi. And CORRECTION Dadi... The woman from whom my FATHER hid the fact that he was married...The woman HE trapped was Garima... THE MAN AUNTY loved without knowing true colors was my Father... YOUR SON." ARnav said, angry now. What was this woman thinking! Granted, she was his Dadi, but why was she being so blind... Fury blinded him, but the ticking of the clock cooled him. "Dadi, we will talk about this later. I am late for my wedding." He said, and stormed out.
The Dadi Arnav had loved was no that woman who was trying to snatch his Khushi from him... not the cold and manipulating woman he had just left... His Dadi was a sweet old lady, always by Arnav's side... Like Nani... He thought, grateful tears filling his eyes. Dadi had no place in his life from the day she had left them with their Uncle, to rot and fend for themselves...
"ARNAV STOP. Don't act as if you knew it all this time!" Dadi ranted behind him. "Arnav, Damadji told me all...THAT KHUSHI stole your Di's happiness and-"
Arnav had had enough. "KHUSHI saved my LIFE Dadi... She almost DIED trying to... She was bound and gagged and left on the road, and I-" he choked out the words. "I would have run her over if I hadn't seen her."
"What?" Dadi asked completely taken aback.
Arnav laughed bitterly. "I will bet your Damaadji did not tell you that... I also know he did not tell you he was engaged to Khushi did he?" Her silence was taken as a no... " In all this, you were right about one thing Dadi... History was repeating itself... Di was in Ma's situatiom, Shyam was Dad, and Khushi was that other woman... I also made the mistake of blaming her, but I know the truth. I don't know OR care what Shyam told you...I only know Khushi is not lying... Her mother is as innocent as she is...and no... I did not know all this time." He said, not turning back. Dadi could not understand what was going through her grandson's mind.
"I did not know all this time, but you see Dadi," He said as he got into the car and shut the door. "Garima Aunty called me yesterday," he said smugly, looking at her through the window of the car.

YESTERDAY

Dadiji had forgiven her? JUST like that...? Garima could not believe it. She remembered Dadi slipping on the bangles to Khushi's hands. But parallely, she could hear Dadi swearing to destroy her daughters' life... Then she remembered Arnav and Khushi's sangeet they had returned from sometime back... she had not missed the looks from Dadiji... They had made her feel as if something was amiss... She remembered how Arnav bitua had been at one time- ruthless, arrogant- and how he was now a changed man... a man who had no care towards tradition, but was now marrying her daughter with every single tradition and rituals... Loving and caring, if not to the world, to his wife...her daughter. She had seen true love in his eyes for her daughter... Her daughter was very lucky, that she had found Arnav; a husband who would not leave her for the world... and that was when Garima made a decision.
She picked up the phone and dialled the number, praying to Devi Maiyya that she was doing the right thing."Hello? Arnav bitua? I-I need to talk to you."
