She just listened to Shyam and decided he was right.. Decided he was wrong, she did not confirm the story.. Nani's repeated words that Khushi is a good and well cultured girl who has done lots for the family.. Arnav's repetitive stance against Shyam.. His telling her clearly that he has had no Misunderstanding where Shyam was concerned has not caused her to introspect even once! Doesn't say much for her does it?
My feelings exactly about Dadi. But, if you look at her character, she is like a race horse with no side view. She believed Shyam because it was her grand daughter's life she was interested in. Not the third person's. And she has a theory that it is okay for boys to get tempted and the woman has to hold the man back. She probably thought even if he has gone after another girl, let me take care of the situation so that my grand daughter doesn't become single.
To be honest, I don't know why she is trying to do this to Khushi. Maybe trying to kill two birds in one stone. This way, if she humiliates Khushi on the day of the wedding, she will get Khushi out of the house and Garima will have to die every day looking at her daughter suffering. If she had declared the cancellation of marriage today, there was probably a chance for everyone to talk it out and resolve. This old lady doesn't want to take any chances. It is much difficult to sort out when you are pressed for time and the muhurath time is coming closer at the wedding. Today, I thought she came out as the main villain. Just my 2 cents.
