Expecting the Expected?

Last nights episode has curdled all our minds, where till now the argument was about whether Arnav will marrying Khushi after the truth about Garima being the woman responsible for his mother taking her life comes out; or will his anger get the better of him and he will reject Khushil again making her the victim with no fault of hers!

The signs leading up all of last week indicated both... a separation and a promise of togetherness. Some of us focused on the bad signs and some oiled the lamp of hope focusing on the positives.

But last night... that washed away all the previous speculations.. now didn't it! It was no longer just about remarriage vs. rejection and misplaced anger. It was about wedding being called of vs. taking each other as husband and wife soulfully. It was about history could repeat itself through Khushi, the same her aunt had to bear for her so called alliance with a married man, could happen to Khushi now, leaving the phones behind and not being reachable and top that will being emotional could lead to them taking their relationship forwards which means pregnancy and separation and then a leap!!

So have I covered it all?? Every time I read a post that predicts these possibilities I think Oh shit.. now could that really happen??? Is this going to become like any other serial??? How many ongoing ones already have such tracks going on?? Will this production house go that way too??

Honestly, we cant be blamed... we can only think as per our thoughts have been processed and Indian television for the past 5 to 10 years is only giving us this... love, misunderstanding, a hyped consummation, a separation, a struggled pregnancy, a hyped meeting after X years, misunderstandings cleared, happy temporary ending, next evil plan!!

So we are not wrong in predicting all these things... this is what we always see and have grown to expect. And having a writer from a camp that is the master of these plots doesnt help rest our doubts now, does it??

But is this what we really want? Will we be able to say that I watch this show cause its different and has always given me what I least expect? I wont be able to... in fact I confess I will be mightily disappointed. I dont want a Dushyant - Shakuntala love story or a Ekta Kpoor plot line. If I want that there are some 3- 4 shows already ongoing where I can get that.

Besides what is the point of focusing on Shyam return, Daadi's seriously regressive Soch (Star Plus seriously this is not even Purani Soch, it medieval Soch), Shashi's ongoing recovery and his angry eye locks with Shyam?? Isnt the point of having Shyam back, to lead to the much needed unmasking the devil? The known and unknown crimes he has done are so many, that one by one they need to be brought out and you need Arnav and Khushi to be together to unveil the truth.

I dont want to wait for some 5 yrs later track to see that happen!

So seriously I am asking you... surprise me and dont be cliched!!

I am still wishing for it to be a big MU on everyone's behalf.

I do not wan IPK to be another Kekta serial

I still feel Arnav's dad is responsible for Khushi's parents death.

I think he was giving money to Garima to raise Khushi.

Garima saw that he is a good person and fell in love with him.

He had no such intention.

He was surprised when Garima confessed.

Somebody witnessed this.

Most probably the uncle.

Told the wife.

And Dadi.

Seen with a young child and an unknown woman, the wife and dadi concluded the husband had an affair that even bore a child (Khushi).

Hence the huge heartbreak of the wife.

Hence the anger of Dadi.

The wife thought her whole marriage was a lie.

Dad did not have the time to confess the truth.

I read a spoiler that spoke on the similar lines and when you sit to think you may be right. When Arnav recalls the fight between his parents, we clearly saw a surprised man who didnt know why his wife was accusing him of cheating. That may have been a genuine reaction. But doesnt that make it all the more sad, cause if all this is true and it was all a case of misunderstanding and hasty decision taken by Arnav's mom, so many suffered so no reason!! And Garima still gets blamed for even having feelings which really isnt her fault cause she didnt know and has to live with that guilt. There is making right in that case, just live with it!

I support all the above thoughts dears. If it is in this way, it would be nice. I also expect Shashi to speak up at the wedding day, this could be the big blast .

I agree Shashi holds the key to a lot of truth but I also feel its still a track that is in progress and wont unfold anytime soon. If they have taken so much pain to bring Shyam back.. he is here to stay and plot some more... his plotting and evilness has to still reach a brim for the pot to break dramatically. Also we are still not clear as to why he was so desperate to return and have a place inside RM. If his agenda is revenge it could be carried out from the outside too. So that needs to be out and also the circumstances in which he married Anjali and whether his intentions were always wrong or did he only slip after his encounter with Khushi!

ASR and KKGSR have come a long way to get separated. Just one more thing. Do you think SP can afford such costly sets time and again?😕

This will be one shock for ASR because his past has haunted him all along. It might just take time to heal but he is not going to call off the marriage.( Just guessing)🤓

I couldnt agree more with you at this point!! The fact is that we are soo use to seeing a particular format across all serials of how stories move using the same cliches, it has become part of our subconscious expectation but am hoping to be surprised. There is a reason the story line suddenly has been focusing on Arnav and Khushi's growing bond. It may have started with him agreeing to go through the rituals for her sake and to get her the dignity she deserves in his family's eyes, but in the process they relationship has reached s different level. This level attained, cannot be wasted, the huge change in Arnav cannot be for nothing. All this has been leading to an unexpected climax which will be the wedding!!
