I have a serious hunch that dadi may not be be as insane as she is portrayed. Her main purpose could be to expose shyam, but her path may be different..she may play him into her hands by making him scheme things and in the process make him do things which as a good son-in-law he is not supposed to do...catch him at the right time and expose his deeds to everyone,specially anjali.
Who thinks on the same lines??
