My Answer

Maybe she was scared for the safety of Kushi's Father. Chachji must have played a game of Blackmailing her here. If she knew Shyam's Sister she would have recognized Shyam right. Why will she take a stigma of somebody like Shyam's Sister and put her life and Kushi's life in jeopardy ?

@Red... That's the point...after effect of the death of her son and DIL...It's a punishment...

Garima would have been compelled...and something made her helpless that moment to take that name... It may be a lie..or she hid some facts...!! It can be anything...knowing the affair...she culd have sheltered the other woman...or some kind of blackmail where she was a victim...see she is soft...doesn't cry out...shout out...!! But the deal was Khushi...
