I say that because, again as far as I'm concerned, neither the actor, the character portrayed by said actor or the way the pregnancy has been portrayed over the last couple of months (or even the way the scenes were handled and scripted and executed today) has done anything to conjure up feelings of sympathy or empathy or conviction in whatever happened.
I should be empathizing with the character, but instead I'm left wondering what went wrong with the soap I fell in love with.
As many people in this forum have rightly pointed out, the bottom-line is that THIS (and by 'THIS' I mean story, direction, screenplay, characterization, focus and a million other what-have-you's) is NOT what we signed up for. Plain and simple.
(And no, I did not sign up for random and shallow 'Rabba Ves' either).
I may still keep watching for Barun and Sanaya (though the essence and prior depth + honesty of their characters - Arnav and Khushi - have been missing these last few episodes as far as I can tell) and as they say hope springs eternal...but really, right now this soap looks to me like a juggernaut headed towards an unknown but scary end.
I really hope I'm proven wrong, and that there is such a thing as a miracle.
In the meanwhile, a moment of silence please...for the IPKKND that was, and for the IPKKND that could have been.
