Why doesn't Arnav reveal the truth to Dadi

I don't get why Arnav doesn't just spit put to dadi that there is no misunderstanding, that Shyam babu her beloved son in law literally told arnav "i love khushi and now the only thing standing in my way is Anjali". OK he can leave out the khushi part but why doesn't he tell her that there is no misunderstanding...shyam said all this to him face to face. So, there is no room for misunderstandings here. Isn't that a very typical thing to say when the dadi is so convinced that Shyam babu is such a good guy.

And how many people are all for Arnav and Khushi just running away and getting married again at this point because i would much rather see that then see Shyam babu and Garima running around all over the place during all the ceremonies.

True! I was wondering the same! I think it's pointless trying not to tell it to Dadi. I mean it's okay if he hides the Khushi part. But if dadi's not ready to accept the explanation, then he can add the Khushi part also and explain EVERY single thing to her in detail. And I strongly think they're doing this just to drag the plot. I mean, remeber, so long all the misunderstandings in the show have been caused only because of misplaced timings in the past <if you get what I mean!>
