Now we know. All good things come to an end. So this wonderful run of the CVs & beautiful episodes also came to an end one mournfully dull Monday. One more reason to hate Mondays.
We were beginning to like this new mellowed, flirty ASR & the less loud, mature KKG. But no. How can the CVs tolerate our happiness so bang they gave us Purple Orchid.
Wow what a name & the sets looked like a cheap sleazy disco from an 80s Hindi movie. And hold ur breath KKGSR (more stupid name i am yet to hear) books a table not on 24th but 25th. So we get the classic saucer eyes popping out & O shaped mouth. She then patofies the waiter. Really. I want 2 know which upscale international cuisine restaurant in Delhi permits that. May be possible in IPKKND world. But not in this part of the world where i stay.
After that the next few scenes were ok. Praying that they ll not show KKG DRAAAG the chair making a noise (With the CVs u never know. They ve a unique sense of comedy). But the peace dint last for long. Why do i get a Dejavu feeling. Oh wait they ve shown a similar scene in Geet. I roll my eyes & start praying.
On the other side of the IPKKND world Mrs & Mr weirdo r romancing. Sheesh. Which is more horrible. ASR's cow dung dance, KKG's chest heaving or weirdo couples' romance. Take ur pick.
Then comes the champagne fiasco. Really? CVs find THAT funny. Let me tell them that champagne cork is extremely dangerous. And in this case they showed it hitting a person's glasses. Ideally the glass w'd ve shattered & shards would ve pierced the guy's retina/cornea. They call this COMEDY? Oh wait these were the ppl who showed KKG dropping sugar crystals in ASR's fuel tank. What more can u expect.
And all this for what pray i ask. To show that the MAHAN I AM SO GREAT ASR proclaims that he loves the nitwit the way she is. And all the fan gals here in the IF r faintwa, deadwa, comawa, F*wa.
And whats with that color cola. If it was not wine then y did KKG act TALLI aft drinking it. Me scratching my head. Oh wait. Its all part of the grand scam oops i meant scheme. The CVs wanted to show how the MOTHER THERESA KKG was willing to do ANYTHING, i repeat ANYTHING for ASR.
REALLY? Was this the only way to show that ASR loves KKG the way she is & KKG is willing to do anything for ASR. Has ASR already not shown this by standing up for kushi. Has KKG already not shown this by risking even her life to save her laad governor. Did v need an inane episode with cringe worthy sets to show this. The CVs had many ways of subtly showing this:
1. The DAMAD chalen Lakshmi Nagar was a track i loathe but there was 1 stand out scene for me. The scene where Buaji & Garima struggle to read a recipe written in English to prepare pasta for their beloved DAMAD. Why couldn't they show Kushi trying something like that. She invites him at a time when no1 is there at home. He comes early (obviously), admires her, tucks her bangs behind her ears. A rabba ve. Then either the pasta comes out grt, Kushi jumps in glee & Arnav admires or it is a flop. Kushi says i wanted the dish to be perfect. ASR says forget the dish, i know something else which is just perfect for me, YOU & while Kushi blushes he kisses her.
2. Or she wears the red saree gifted by him, crashes into his room & sits in that SR pose on his bed saying u did all the rasams for me right. So this is what u wanted na so i am ready to do this for u. HUM AAPKE HI HAIN. He is touched, hugs her & says he doesn't want SR. All he wants is her as his wife for ever. Contract can go to hell. Now that w'd ve been a RV scene for me.
3. Or she knows that he loves his plants. So she could ve gifted a really rare plant like orchid or something like that for him in a colourful pot & cheekily add the quip something chamkeli like me to add colour to your boringly dull garden.
But no. How can v expect such meaningful scenes from the CVs. So instead what we get is a village idiot act by the heroine. Viewers ve shown the CVs multiple times that v dont enjoy OTT comedy frm the leads. That's what Mami, Buaji & NK r for. But no we still get the same crap.
How can i not touch on the hideous dress of KKG. While every1 is going gaga over it i winced when i saw that pattern on her arms. It was there even on the yellow salwar that she wore in the temple. They must b thankful that they ve such good looking leads. Any other actors would like like rag pickers in those dresses.
And finally can some one please burn all those props/sets that this PH has. I mean this is a show which comes at prime time 8 PM on STAR & they couldn't shoot in an actual restaurant. And they wonder y the TRPs r low.
Fine i ve ranted. Got all the toxic out of my system, Now i feel better.
