It was mentioned for the first time that IPK was initially named Didi Ki Saut.

Yes, I know what show you are talking about :)

Actually in Jhanvi's case I believe the circumstances are different. She still loves him despite everything - very realistic. And i know of people who have gone through this relationship, and it takes A LOT for them to get over it. Heck they often blame themselves for their abuse.

But I am gonna focus on Anjali as this is IPKKND :)

The reason I am not hating on Anjali as much is because well this is my POV on it all.

When you are disillusioned or in denial, your mind can often play tricks on you so you actually believe whatever is in your head. This is a grossly simplified version of this, however I am going to try and keep it as simple just so I don't confuse too many people.

Anyway, it's literally like their mind can trick them into believing someone is good despite them knowing that they aren't. They can start to believe that the world around them is perfect just because the mind is incapable of coping with the reality of things.

It's literally like going to a person who believes he/she has a normali-ish relationship with their sibling (with a few fights here and there) and being forced to see how bad it is. Her mind copes in such a way that it blocks out the reality and chooses to live in the past where everything was fine. When things were revealed and everything shattered around her, she fainted. Her mind shut down and it could not physically cope.

Then she regained consciousness and realised that nothing had gone back to normal. Yet she tried being with Arnav to see whether they could go back to the same relationship they had before. But she realised they couldn't as he had Khushi in his life as well. She suddenly desperately wanted things to go back to how they used to be.

And so she does the first thing she thought right - she reconnects with Shyam. Half because she wanted to make things right, and half because she wanted the reassured words from him that things would be alright, which I am sure he told her.

Now I am not saying any of the above happened. However if she is in denial, completely disillusioned, then she is the victim here. She is not someone who is in control of her mind, as she does not realise that what she is thinking is wrong.

I agree with both points of views here. Anjali has always been shown to be a bit delusional from the start always living in her romantic world. She has always been shown to emotinally weak and for that reason both Khushi and Arnav hid the truth to her. The way Shyam was thrown out of the house was unfair on Anjali. She was given no time to understand the accusations being put on her husband. The fact that Shyam was playing his dirty game right under her nose shows her delusional mind will choose to only things she wants to see. Then after Shyam was thrown out the matter was never discussed with her and things were never explained. People like her do exist. The people around them are as much to blame to make them like that.

We may hate them or love them. But in the real world we are more likely to come across an Anjali than a Khushi.

But the biggest loophole though for me in this serial is the kidnapping accusation. Rest everything I can understand, but I had her delusional mind would have given more thought to the kidnapping of "her brother who means so lot to him" accusations. Many women forgive adultery as they think it is a one off. But kidnapping your most closest one and threating their existence I don't know she is erased that out of her memory. Infact not only her but whole of the Raijyadas have erased it from their minds as well. Well thats a hindi serial for you. :)

As far as question of right and wrong is concerned. The is no set laxman-rekha and there is no set rules. Each of us have their own perceptions, beliefs and ideals. So this discussion will continue and there will no consensus.

If i find it, I'll definitely link it on here. Too lazy to go through the forum looking for the article :P
I remember it was either late last year or very early this year when it was released. Gul was in conversation about her characters and she mentioned about how fragile Anjali was as a character. I think she also explained why she does so many pujas, why she's so superstitious and gets worried about Chote all the time :)

I know harshita, my hopes were very high too with each passing episode and Arnav's snobbish behavior but what did we get blackmailing in the name of wooing and 5 minutes apology for a year long physical, mental torture

There was some other articles i read on Myeduniya, telly buzz
discussing redemption.

even in sanaya BBC interview a person asked sanya will sanya forgive him.

Sanaya hinted that yes she will but after some time, considerations.

that reply hinted that arnav wud go to extreme emotional outburst to bring back khushi to his life. sadly we didnt see that😭

You know barun has a huge potential to do those intense emotional scenes.

His eyes speaks everything.
remember the first sorry after he follows khushi and lavanya to a party to apologise.
He is superb in high intense scenes.too
and crying for Khushi wud be so touching. I dont understamd what is so unmanly about shedding tears.
when a person is in die hard love relation, and when he loses, Crying is a simple thing.
men burst out their heart too.Ishq nahin aasan

Rishi dear if its not wrong to cry when he felt Khushi deceived him, but why now? He is head over heels in love with her, he knows how wrong he was, what all pain she endured, then why its wrong if he cries for her? When he can cry for his sister's betrayal, why not Khushi whom he consider one of the most imp persons in his life?

A good topic, rima.

But what is left to understand about Anjali ?

She is mooching off her brother, helping her husband mooch off him (the credit card bill with the expensive camera equipment purchase - she obviously gave the credit card to her husband the reptile to use) and has no sense of reality.

I really wish she'd move out of RM, stay with the reptile, and get a sense of the truth.

Anjali overacts when taking her medicine, making weird faces and hand-gestures, as if she is the Queen of England, and as if she is the lead of the story, not Khushi.

I am sorry, but

I HATE ANJALI 😡

mera bhi nahi nikla abhi tak inspite of writing so much... in which ever way I try to understand her personality...her reactions about kidnapping, her reactions to arnav celebrating khushi's bday, her begrudging arnav his love for his wife...just points to a selfish woman to me...someone who wants to be in limelight ro-dho ke...

I get she loves her husband etc wants to be with him...but then she shud have the dignity to walkout with him...not let him use her brothers money.
