Edit
Firstly, I do understand what you are trying to say. IPK has been an amazing show and has given us a lot of special ArHi/ Arnav-Anjali/ Anjali-Khushi etc. And I am sure no one can argue this fact. But I have to say that I disagree with a few things that you've written about. The first part of your post, when you said, "Be happy with what you get"... i don't agree with. The reason being that nowadays there are so many tv shows on so many channels that we simply do not have to just learn to be happy with what we get. Moreover, TV shows are like products. The CVs market these "products" to the consumers. But if the customers are not happy with what they are getting they do not have to invest in the product, just as we do not have to watch the show. We do not have any obligation towards the cvs that we should simply watch the show in order to raise trps.To add, CVs need to be aware of which tracks viewers enjoy and which they do not and modify the show depending on that. And the low or high trps show them how well their "product" is "selling".
About the second part in your post... yaar, I don't think people are angry because we didn't get ArHi scenes yesterday. We understand that every actor needs time to relax. What we are complaining about, is the character assasination and the overall track in IPK right now.
The problems with IPK as of now (as I see it)
1. Too many parallel tracks.
There are so many tracks going on at once such as ArHi's past, ArHi's wedding, Anjali & Shyam's hide and seek game, Dadi's hatred towards Khushi, etc. that it really becomes confusing to the viewers sometimes. CVs need to take one track at a time in my opinion. The flood of tracks happening at the same time just ends up giving viewers a headache.
2. Character assasination
I have only one word to say. Anjali. From the sweet, caring, trustworthy and honest sister she has become a rotlu, lying, deceiving person (in my opinion) and I'm really not liking it.
3. Saas Bahu drama
IPK was never a saas bahu. But ever since this dadi made her entry it's starting to become like any other SP serial. CVs have to understand that they are dealing with a wide range of consumer groups from 5-6 year olds to 50-60 year olds. The younger generation is definately not going to take this Saas bahu well. And it's obviously going to leave it's mark on the trps. Maybe yes, this Dadi is needed for the story to progress. But as of now, the audience is being left clueless as to why Dadi is behaving the way that she is. Things need to be revealed a little bit faster in my opinion. From the past few days all we've been seeing is a game of hide and seek between Dadi and Garima.
I don't know about you, but I feel that IPK is definately not what it was last year... and I want that IPK back.
