but how is it possible...barun sobti is a lead actor..karan wahi a side actor..still he gets more than barun???????

It works like this in the TV industry - they are paid per day - which means 20,000/- to 25,000 Indian rupees per day - which may be the case of barun and sanaya.
A lot of actors when they are v new and getting a break they are on a salary per month - around 60k +
Frankly I think it is too less considering the amount of hours they have to put in for a daily soap.
But as u get more popular then you can ask for more - like Ram kapoor apparently gets 1 Lac a day

They do make a lot of money when they are invited to do shows /appearances etc.
I know this cause I am from the industry

the diya bati actors started wid 15k...n now may b 25k...coz newcomers hai

What is K means 20-25 K ???? I dont understand ... And Of cource barun Is Rich .. he said in one of his interviews that he bought 3 honda city cars for him , his dad and his wife !!!

Thats nice to know so according a whole one year sanaya n barun should have nearly 8.5million rupees and that in pounds is around 95000-100000 and in dubai dirhams would be 500000 dirhams :)
