I don't see how people didn't fell the pain in his eyes yesterday when he saw the slap mark on her face? I thought Barun did a good job.

I think so too.
Partly because many people don't understand his character.

Fari, I think we all know that Barun as ASR is the best thing that has happened to IPK ( and so is Sanaya as Khushi ) .
Its a waste of time and effort to even defend Barun ( which I know is not the purpose of your post ) coz if people think some other telly actor is better then they are more than welcome to switch over. He has set such a high bar for himself that folks expect his A game everyday...Give him a break people and check the dark circles under his eyes and his slim frame...
And for folks who want to give him acting lessona or hugging lessons may want to start with no. 1 show in the country.
Just leave it Fari...don't even bother... ( Jeez I'm surprised at myself ..I am not a crazy Barun fan anayway..😆 )

Hi Fari! I agree with you totally and I feel like posting a link to this thread on each one of those posts saying he 'needs to improve' because I just don't have the energy to state it every single time one pops up!
Personally I've found nothing wrong or lacking in any of their hugs or close scenes; they each have the right amount of emotion/intensity for the given situation. Regarding the hugs specifically, I wish people would try to understand that each hug is different because they are conveying different emotions depending on what they characters are going through at the time - it's got nothing really to do with Barun and Sanaya because they are obviously fine with hugging.
The hug after the kidnapping was intense because they had just found each other after so many days of not knowing if they'd see each other again and it was a release of all that emotion which was conveyed perfectly. In comparison, the hug on Wednesday (after Arnav sees the bruise on her cheek) was Khushi reaching out for him after going through the emotional trauma of Dadi's poisonous words and Garima's slap which she didn't understand the harshness of. Arnav's response to that was one of gentle comfort and an assurance that he was there for her because that was what she needed - it would't have been right at all if he'd hugged her in an intense, romantic way at that point because it wasn't about that.
I didn't mean to go into so much detail about just 2 hugs but I'm sure you know what I mean and the same is for every hug or close scene they have. I remember even in an old SBS segment (where her earring got stuck on his shirt as she's going home - I think she's just spilt tea on him earlier) they were both joking about how these scenes are awkward for them to shoot but they get through it by joking etc - but was it noticeable in the scene that aired? Nope not at all, no-one even mentioned it and rightly so. They are professionals, when they mention they are uncomfortable, that doesn't mean they can't work around it or help each other through and they do.
Ok I guess I rambled as usual lolz but my point is that there are no complaints from me about Barun (or Sanaya) during close scenes. Sure sometimes the scenes could be better edit-wise as in which angle it's shown from but those minor issues aren't down to the actors performances at all.
Anyways, thanks for your post and I hope I didn't ramble too much😳
Asma x
*edit: Oops the one complaint I do have against Mr Sobti - dude please CUT YOUR HAIR!! Thank you😉 It bugs me a lot at times and once to the point I even wrote an OS about it😆

Asma 🤗

Not a problem...feel free to ramble. 😳

Hey Ratna.

I think people are finding too many flaws...not just in Barun but even Sanaya too. 😳

Yes you're right...it's probably best to to bother.

Loved the post!

To deliver dialogues is not difficult.
To deliver dialogues with voice modulation plus Expressions is very very dificult. You need to have Expression even while saying 'OKAY'
And Barun is only actor I know in telly who is brilliant in al 3 departments.I can watch hs video on mute and can see emotions glowing, flowing through his presence.

People say that actors coming from theatre background i.eONSTAGE dramas are Excellent in expressions.Becuz we dnt have dramatic editing there ..its our presence through which we connect to audience.

And Barun just knocks me off with his acting.👏

P.S I have done theatres for 7-8years..bt later had to sacrifice for academics and lack of family support.

Fari, I think you hit it right with the part highlighted. It's not just a matter of Barun; to me it seems like it's become almost a habit now for some to look for flaws in each scene down to the point where they miss out on what's actually being shown and only focus on the (perceived) flaw.
A hypothetical example from my experience of the forum lately and the 'you' is very general - no offence intended:
You watch that days episode in great detail... a rabba ve moment is happening and you notice when he touched her face, one of his fingers didn't reach her cheek with the rest... instantly you recall Barun's words from that long lost article and wonder what it means that he didn't want to touch her with only that finger and there must be a deeper reason for it?! You log onto IF and launch a full fledged inbhestigation into whether Barun's one finger is more uncomfortable than the rest - with proof from old scenes you painstakingly found - you even start a poll about it!
Huge side note: in all that you just missed an awesome scene and episode and didn't get to enjoy what was most likely a very romantic rabba ve...
Ok that's an exaggeration I admit and it's probably my feelings at such posts coming through but you get my point - it's almost got to that level now with some of the posts I'm seeing! I feel like telling people to just chill out and enjoy the show which has SO many plus points, such a fantastic cast and at least TRIES to be different - trust me the luxury won't come around often...

Asma this deserves to be a post on it's own.

You have such an amazing clarity of thoughts...I am not just talking about this comment or the previous one.

how come you never make topics on the forum?
