I understand what you're saying. I mentioned it earlier too that I didn't like the SR scene the other day. I felt something was lacking in it and I cribbed about it not just today but right after the episode aired.

I felt that performance wise it was not their best. The episode looked rushed. But after that I didn't see any problem.

We've had a lot of discussion here and I personally feel that fatigue could be the issue as well. They play the same character every day, so it can get monotonous at times. Barun did look very tired today.

Sampin, Sunrisegreen and a few others have also pointed out that the direction, cinematography, lighting etc also plays a role. Or maybe they are focusing more on other things such as interactions with other characters and stuff.

Whatever it is, I hope all of us start feeling the old magic soon. Let's not lose hope. 😊

Awesome post ! I completely agree with you on every single point you made 😊 Though it is true that Barun does look a bit oily at times and he should cut his hair frequently...The look he had during Payash's wedding+cocktail party+sangeet+mehendi+and the januray mahaepisode (the kiss at the poolside) and the beginning episodes..was the time he looked his best ! ☺️

And yes..I am a teenage girl who completly is in love with Barun Sobti and spends almost har of her day on IF reading posts and drooling over Barun ! ☺️😳

exactly. If SI lacks in romantic scenes, we need 2 remember it's khushi's hesitance not SI's. Exact same goes for BS. He too is portraying a character. so where does marriage, boyfriends etc. come in im sure her bf and his wife couldnt care less and probably dont worry as much as some ppl here do. The # of topics on BS today and the # of topics on SI yesterday r just ridiculous.

The main reason for this outcry and disappointment is due to the pace of the story and the show. All of a sudden we are on a fast track ex:diwali how beautifully was it built up to Jadu hai nasha? Now compare this shoddy Suhag raat. First of all with Diwali we had no spoiler hence 0 expectation here toh whole weekend everyone started speculating and dancing with joy and when they see it didn't live up to their expectation BAM!! Omg she did that he did that. WHy is she acting like why is he looking like that.

Also couldn't they have made Arnav's reaction/realization? There was just no continuity in that scene but I felt nothing wrong in today's hug. Though Barun does look worn out and maybe it's the make up unlike the actresses who do the make up Barun doesn't and his make up man needs to learn to put better make up . Bitwa needs a hair cut ASAP.

Best way stop expecting soo much from the show! Take each episode as it comes.

Barun looks worn out! his skin looks tired plain and simple!! he looks like he didn't get a good night's sleep in a long time!! just get him off the shoot for 1 full day and order him to sleep for a good 24 hours straight!!
having more screen space is not an excuse, cz until this dadi moment Sanaya was the one who was present in practically every single frame! and she does manage much better!! may be cz she does her own makeup and knows what works best for her and as we know she sleeps to & fro from the shoot just to catch up on rest..
may be barun should consider getting a driver too..may be temporarily..cz quite apart from the looks side he might get seriously sick!😲

and hair...GOD GET IT CUT!!! i honestly don't understand why it is so freaking hard to get him to cut his hair and clear the heavy sideburns!! it makes him look even more tired and worn out!!
he freaking production house+makeup artist+barun should try to get together and fix this!! they had it down pat perfect last year!! what the eff is wrong with them now?

as for the clothes department i want to walk up to the 4 Lions office and make a donation asking them to please give him some clothes that befits the status of THE Arnav Singh Raizada!!

I completely agree with u on the above part regarding looks. Barun needs to take care of himself in order to look good. tired is one thing.. but it can be covered with proper touch up. If the make up man is not doing a good job, barun has to remember to make him do it before the shot. I love my good looking leads ...it is a sin to make them look messed up just because the make up man forgot his job and the director is busy concentrating on the dialogue delivery.

Look at the behind scenes. Make up man is always their when shooting. It just he needs to apply more powder because his face is oily and that 1 liter of gel on his hair is not making it any better. Plus I bet it's probably really hot!

Nicely written .. i expect to see a lot too but when i don't get it .. i'm not going to be that sad to the point where i start nitpicking .. the point is .. the story came to life .. and the ACTORS has done a great job at expressing how it is suppose to come out ..

The portrayal of characters depend on our liking too .. if we allow all these little things to add onto their flawless acting then we might as well have someone else take over these role to make it as BELIEVABLE AND as ROMANTIC as they do .. I still see the magic in ARSHI in all these years/months. I think what's lacking is the timeline - how everything are coming to light so quickly and that's what make me scare - scare that ARSHI's relationship will end in disastrous long before we can see more romance again (even though i have full faith that ARSHI will bind together regardless all the loose end in the family matter)

Hi Fari! I agree with you totally and I feel like posting a link to this thread on each one of those posts saying he 'needs to improve' because I just don't have the energy to state it every single time one pops up!

Personally I've found nothing wrong or lacking in any of their hugs or close scenes; they each have the right amount of emotion/intensity for the given situation. Regarding the hugs specifically, I wish people would try to understand that each hug is different because they are conveying different emotions depending on what they characters are going through at the time - it's got nothing really to do with Barun and Sanaya because they are obviously fine with hugging.

The hug after the kidnapping was intense because they had just found each other after so many days of not knowing if they'd see each other again and it was a release of all that emotion which was conveyed perfectly. In comparison, the hug on Wednesday (after Arnav sees the bruise on her cheek) was Khushi reaching out for him after going through the emotional trauma of Dadi's poisonous words and Garima's slap which she didn't understand the harshness of. Arnav's response to that was one of gentle comfort and an assurance that he was there for her because that was what she needed - it would't have been right at all if he'd hugged her in an intense, romantic way at that point because it wasn't about that.

I didn't mean to go into so much detail about just 2 hugs but I'm sure you know what I mean and the same is for every hug or close scene they have. I remember even in an old SBS segment (where her earring got stuck on his shirt as she's going home - I think she's just spilt tea on him earlier) they were both joking about how these scenes are awkward for them to shoot but they get through it by joking etc - but was it noticeable in the scene that aired? Nope not at all, no-one even mentioned it and rightly so. They are professionals, when they mention they are uncomfortable, that doesn't mean they can't work around it or help each other through and they do.

Ok I guess I rambled as usual lolz but my point is that there are no complaints from me about Barun (or Sanaya) during close scenes. Sure sometimes the scenes could be better edit-wise as in which angle it's shown from but those minor issues aren't down to the actors performances at all.

Anyways, thanks for your post and I hope I didn't ramble too much😳

I think people are use to seeing Arnav manhandling Khushi always leaving a mark on her skin. He's being gentle with her nowadays because he loves her now. Back in the days he was rough with her because of his ego. As time comes things change.

I don't see how people didn't fell the pain in his eyes yesterday when he saw the slap mark on her face? I thought Barun did a good job.
