That particular scene was so hard to watch..I dont think I have watched it more than once and that's telling something because I usually watch an episode at least 2 times (not nowadyas but those days used to do that...sigh)

There are so many people on this forum who are ready to eat me up whole when I argue that this show fails to convey a correct story-line but I'm glad there are people who share my opinion. Ditto to what you say about consistency. This show lacks it big time!
What people fail to recognize is that this show is capable of so much more even when it comes to TRPs. We saw it's potential when it garnered 4.0+ consistently in January. Here's what I wrote on someone else's post in response to their claims that SMJ didn't garner max TRPs but is still back for season 2... *I find that argument rather baseless, but it's okay😳* Here is my response:You know, I agree to some extent, but I cannot refute the fact that SMJ iscompletely "Nayi Sooch" in nature. Regardless of the TRP ratings, the international response on twitter was phenomenal. And SP took note of this with that new video of SMJ's twitter journey. Another thing is, I think SMJ really appealed to Indians living abroad who were unaware of the inherent problems facing their country--something which cannot be tallied into TRPs. But it was a real eye-opener for sure.
The problem is, IPKKND is NOT SMJ. It is not geared to promote a social message, but is simply, a daily soap. We should not be comparing the two. It should be categorized with the rest of the popular soaps, which according to TRPs performed better this week in comparison to IPK. While even IPKKND has an immense international fan-following, are you really willing to say that the recent episodes have been completely impeccable and spotless? The reality is, those same households (in India) which you now claim as not depicting "correct viewership" once gave IPK TRPs upwards of up to 4.0. What was different then? I don't think the viewers changed, I think the story and way of story-telling changed. Like so many have mentioned, there is absolutely no consistency in the recent tracks. Too many parallel story-lines which aren't given their due focus but simply touched upon by CVs. There is no flow and the episodes seem highly disjointed. We cannot compare the TRP jhaknne wale aunties 😆 over in India to us crazy IF fans. Trust me, even when the episodes are bad, there are people on this forum who analyze and give justifications for everything which change our perspective on so many levels (in reference to the Redux members👏) But do TRP aunties look for justifications? No, they look for entertainment. Clearly our show is not doing a good job with their story-telling.~Puja~
