Shyam has only one motive and that is revenge. So he keeps tabs on all the people he wants to harm. Daadi who was in hibernation for 14 years was an easy target for Shyam and his sweet talk.

depends if dadi hates khushi just coz arnav married her without everyones knowledge or does she know anything from shyam that has blackened her name or something associated with her in the past

Lets consider a scenario where Dadi hasn't meet shyam...

See even if Dadi doesn't know shyam...She comes home...Anjali comes and hugs her...She comes to know that Anji is pregnant...And then the normal question any one would ask is ...Where is your husband...Hearing that Anji cried and went to her room...Dadi would have picked up all is not well with Anji...and her husband...

So she is trying to find answers...She tried asking Mami...who doesn't tell her anything...Then Nani...finally ASR gives her an answer...

I somehow feel ...that Dadi might not be directly triggered by Shyam...

either she arrived on her own...Or some letter that she received in the Ashram...implying that something is wrong with her grandchildern's life...
