Honestly speaking, this is my take on the show.
So this is actually the first show where I am enjoying the lead female more than the lead male. Don't get me wrong, ASR is still a delight to watch on screen (especially when he's not being a prick), but this is the first show where I hold more respect for the woman than the man.
In every show I have watched so far (which probably aren't that many), the lead lady is always made to look unreasonable in front of the man, so the audience mostly sympathises with the man.
Or if they give an episode of the man crying - the audience is made to assume that the woman is being a heatless bitch by not accepting him.
So for me, this is the first show where, if Khushi decides to leave, I would be cheering her on and encouraging her rather than calling her a heartless bitch.
That is one reason why I love this show.
Another reason is...well I admit the spark for me had disappeared a while back. But now it's returned. I am genuinely enjoying this track, as they are managing to create a perfect balance between Drama, Romance and family matters.
Another reason why I am loving it is because they are doing a better job with editing, background music and direction. That was another thing that drove me up the wall a few months ago - so that is another plus point for me.
I actually prefer this track a hundred times more than the Anjali-track.
I am enjoying watching Dadi on screen - not because she is torturing Khushi - but because she is bringing substance into the storyline; which had been missing for a while.
I am enjoying this because the story finally seems to be getting back one track. Remember how it was rumoured that the past would be revealed a few months ago? But then the kidnapping thing took place?
Finally the mystery is being revealed!
As for Arnav-Khushi scenes. I admit that at first even I was taken aback by how they rushed into the whole "I forgive you" but I think the night where this supposed dynamics of relationship changed has not been properly revealed - so I am still holding onto my hopes for that.
I always kinda thought Khushi to be like a Gemini. Having her moments of seriousness but having loads of moments where she is childish and does things that make me go "whaaa?"
But most times, it is these moments which make me laugh and cheer her on, because they are what drive Arnav up the wall - and personally I kinda like seeing him be tortured by Khushi at times :D
Now coming onto the suhaag raat. Well, I understand that this seems unrealistic to most, - the fact that she hasn't slept with him - but to me it seems pretty..well...normal for a show.
What's realistic about Indian shows? Forced Marriage? Contract Marriage? someone being kidnapped for days, and nobody finding out about it? Two members rescuing the said kidnapped member, and nobody finding out about it? A person being given CPR to revive them, and then they are shouting and fighting for their innocence, and not getting any rest?
None of this is realistic; so I have just decided to take out the realistic out of Indian shows.
Having said that, I do believe that this show does have its moments, however they are few and little.
So, I don't actually mind the whole Arnav teasing Khushi about Suhaag Raat, because who are we kidding? It's not going to happen for...like..ages.
But that's no problem to me; I am enjoying the teasing, the humour, the drama, and the plot right now :)
