Yes, and that is why I love Nani sooo much!! I read an article today where Swati Chitnis said that Dadi has come to take over the reins of her family. My first reaction was, nice try, for that you need to have the capacity to handle your family members. Look at Nani - she handles each RM member in their own way and at the same time keeps them on the right track!

Naani's an observer, takes the back seat until the time is right...and I believe Arnie is also somewhat like that!

Karna's main greviance was being discriminated against because he was a charioteer...and Duryodhan's main greivance was also losing out on the kingdom that would have been his if his father had been a healthy man...both were victim of circumstances, and both always fought for their birthright...Shyam is more of a Duryodhan, who thought it was okay to use deceit because in a way the Pandavas seemed to have deceived his blind father of his kingdom too...I don't think Shyam deserves redemption as an adulterer, but he deserves redemption if it is his nephew's birthright he is fighting for...

Unilateral in what sense? His decision was for his di and his wife and his family?

What dadi said u should have thought about your sisters pregnancy... He do consider that in his decision..

Dadi's and Anji thinking about what will happen to the baby once it's born.. Without the blessings or influence of his father.. Is backward thinking...

Asr and nani.. Both are of the belief that influence of a man like Shyam will cause more harm then good!

He took the decision by himself.. he viewed the facts and passed the judgement..didnot bother to run thro' his family because he believed it was the right thing... I agree it was the right thing... but even then the people who are affected by it should be taken through the decision process...things should be thrashed out or else situations will keep blowing up on your face like Ani Shaym is about to do now...This is where the unilateral aspect of his and dadi's decision stem from.. which had far reaching unpleasant consequences...but this time the difference is that Anji is still alive and Shaym's actions are intentionally evil... ASR's past beliefs are being strengthened by the present circumstances... Dadi's understanding of the past events are making her see present circumstance with a colored vision ... both ASR and Dadi need rectification in their visions to let the past rest and the present to be amended.

If we go by that then his entry to RM will be justified only once that part of the story is out.. Anything before that would be unexceptable to ASR... His stance on that is clear...

Plus how will CV's explain his involvement with Khushi, his lustbfor her?

If ASR had told her that on Payash wedding night, Shyam had confessed to him that he loved Khushi - there is nothing else she would have needed. But all ASR did was to say that I trust Khushi and that was a wrong move IMO.
