I had pondered along those lines too...

However I thought that it might be Garima who was pursued or infatuated with Arnav's dad...

There has to be a reason why she is sooo uptight about social faux-pauxs and why she married a widower with a child...

What has left everyone in the dark is that we do not know Khushi's birth father's last name and the Gupta's didn't know Arnav is really Arno Malik...
