What he was doing is creating a stance - MAKING A BOLD STATEMENT - " Say what you have to say now " as he stands next to her. What was really good - if you notice is taht before she even opens her mouth - he expects her to be negative about Khushi & he almost takes that defensive position next to her - as if to say - BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY AS THIS IS MY WIFE
