Not necessarily, AP! You see, to the Raizadas, they were the unwanted family. There is no reason for them to know the name of the 'other woman''s brother; much less their family name!

I don't think Shyam lied about his name, AP! If he had that habit, he'd have chosen a different name when he stayed as PG with the Guptas, na? I don't think he's changed his name; it doesn't suit his nature, either.

It would prick his pride, Maria; see, in the past when he was the PG, he used to gloat to Babuji about being able to string along both Anjali and Khushi; as Shyam, without any need for disguises. If he is still the overconfident fool that he is, he'd think that he could secure his place in the Raizada family without having to change his name. As for not revealing who he is, he could have chalked it off to merely not telling everything.
