An apparent breezier episode after the intense one yesterday ...but. And if you know your IPK CVs well, "but"s always come with their own baggage.

It's Rakshabandhan at RM. The backdrop leading to the festival is surreal. Last year Arnav 'forced' a reluctant Khushi to come back to RM on Di's demand. This year also he convinced Khushi to come back to RM but the Di-Khushi equation is completely changed.
Khushi reaches out for Di , bringing a rakshadhaaga for protection of Di and her unborn child and offers to tie it on her. But her offer is politely rejected and comes with a wish that Di gets to spend more time with her Chotey. A message which doesn't go unnoticed, as Khushi's smile is wiped out. The "but" moment #1.

Khushi ,being who she is, starts seeking ways to bring the elusive smile on Arnav's Di. She, through her ever helping sakha Nanheji, convinces Arnav to wear one of Anjali's gifts of Kurta Pajama as she knows from previous instance (Btw if I remember correctly Khushi had heard that brother siser exchange during Janmashtami , but seemed like this was a different occasion...an editing blooper?) that is one of Anjali's wishes to see her Chotey in Kurta Pajama.

Anjali was beside herself with happiness on realization of the special efforts her family has gone through to make the day special for her: by decorating the mandir with flowers, and biggest surprise of watching Chotey come down the stairs in Kurta Pajama. Something struck me today during the episode, that Anjali always makes it so much about "humare": Humare Chotey, humare baat (saaNse rukh jayegi exchange between bro and sis after the satsang 'debacle'), humare diya hua Kurta and last but not the least humare woh. Is it just a harmless adaat or a bit of narcissism with far-reaching consequence?

A beautiful rakhi tying sequence follows where the love between the brother and sister is palpable and Arnav reiterates the fact that with Di there, mother's absence is not felt. The background score just enhances the heartwarming moment as a lingering backdrop.

Arnav is shown throughout the episode talking about surprise for Di, jewellery for Di, talking to Aman about packages and then showing relief on seeing HP with three gift bags. Makes you curious what's in those bags.

Well I kept my fangirling in check till he starts fidgeting in the Kurta Pajama and asks HP to send Khushi. He has guessed from Khushi's over-enthusiastic "Nanheji!!" declaration that it is really she who has conspired with NK to get him in ethnic clothes. I don't think Mr Raizada will let his wife go 'unpunished' for pulling the trick on him...going by his 12 day plan of getting up-close and personal with Mrs Raizada till he gets her where he wants. I hope the CVs will not do ramanchi with us poor souls again.

Meanwhile Khushi the lone ranger, investigator is about to probably discover who Anjali's mysterious caller is. The "but " moment # 2.

Highlight:

Wow!...finally a day where the Raizada family looked "rich" and beautiful. Sanaya was beautiful in the orange saree. Akshay and Karan looking handsome in their ethnic wear.

But amidst all the beautiful colors, one elegant white Kurta Pajama was pure vision in white. Reminded me of delectable white chocolate: decadent and divine! And this I came up after several clinical viewing of the episode. All for pure analysis purpose.

Phoolon ka Taaron ka Sabka Kehna Hai...Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behena Hain😃😃😃. Loved the crooner Archu...especially your connection between the phool and the stars😊. A brother striving hard to keep the two people in his life happy. It was an episode dedicated to the bond that exists between Arnav and Anjali. It made me emotional😭. Though I dont have a brother, the bond between the siblings showed in the episode made me miss my sister so much.

Mujhko us pal ma nazar aati hai...this particular line always leaves me in tears because to me it defines the relationship between Arnav and Anjali.

The brother sister relationship was shown so beautifully. For Arnav and Anjali, since they lost their parents they are each other's pillar of strength. They have had a traumatic past and till date seek strength from each other. Its no surprise that Arnav would do everything possible to make this day special for his sister...even if it means wearing ethnic wear for his Di's sake. He surely surprised her and got that smile back on Anjali's face. A sweet gesture that moved her to tears. The rakhi scene was beautifully shot with Anjali surrounded by her brothers. It felt as if our pyaari Anjali Di was back...her aap bhi na made a comeback 😲. It was a heartening to see her smile after so long😊. All through the scene, I couldnt help notice the way Khushi stayed away...she was probably the reason why Anjali had such a huge grin on the auspicious day yet her gesture was sweetly hidden behind her white lie which her smart husband caught😳. All the pain once again hidden behind that huge grin for the sake of Di who she looks up to.

Arnav has a huge task for the next 10 days. Not only does he have to convince Khushi but also sort out differences between Anjali and Khushi which he is oblivious to at the moment. Hopefully, in the next few days he will notice the strained relationship. The beautiful relationship between Khushi and Anjali has changed so much in the past one year. Last year, Anjali wanted Khushi to be part of the celebration but this year, Anjali doesnt care if Khushi is there or not😒. I dont blame Anjali for expecting Arnav to spend time with her but once again, she targets Khushi and snubs her. If she wants Arnav to spend time with her, why not tell Arnav that? Khushi who is so sensitive gets the hint. The girl who had walked out of the house only for the sake of her Arnavji's Di has to face the music. Only if she had not lied😒

Other points:

1. Though I liked the episode (nothing new😆) but it did look disjointed from the previous episode. The PH may have been under pressure from the channel to show RB which they did but I wanted the Arnav-Khushi conversation to continue...hopefully, we will get it today.

2. Khushi offers the Raksha dhaga but Anjali doesnt let her tie it for her. Is this an indication that there will be no more shielding from Khushi's side and Anjali will face the reality on her own? I am bad at decoding such scenes🥱

3.It was a pleasure watching Sanaya in two new outfits. She looked gorgeous in the sari. Why cant she wear them more often.

4. Arnav got pissed once again when mami taunted Khushi...he is so close to losing it. Waiting for his 'ENOUGH'.

5. Finally, our man in white...what a sight it was for sore eyes. Total drool worty..loved it when he said he wasnt sure if he was chotte😆😆😆. Just loved the way he stood during the puja indicating that he still doesnt believe in God. The man is uncomfortable in the kurta and wants to take it off...loved how HP told him to remove it😆😆. Bechara HP always lands up at the wrong moment. Wonder what Arnav wants to tell Khushi...all the bags filled with gifts cant be only for his Di😳.

6. Raksha Bandhan done...can we expect Teej now😍😍

Last night, when the episode ended, I was surprised that my heart was heavy. I tried to understand what was it - perhaps it was the song. But that is how I felt about it - there was something sad in the celebration. So again my write-up will be a bit serious I guess.

Yesterday two major things were demonstrated with which I cannot relate myself. The celebration of Rakhsha Bandhan is alien to me because there is no such celebration in my religion & culture since I am not from India. Secondly, I am the only issue of parents - so I have no firsthand experience on siblings bonding. So whatever I am writing will be from a third eye view.

The Rakhsha Bandhan segment warmed up my heart. I could see a son & mother, not just siblings testifying their love for each other - the song was a really beautiful touch. Arnav's little effort by wearing Kurta to surprise his sister & also her happiness with that effort proved how much they meant for each other. I was happy with the changed visual - it has been Arnav & Anjali with Khushi in between so far, since the Mandir incident last year. This time it was Arnav & Anjali with Devi Maiya in between showering her blessings. Good times for the siblings are ahead. However, the whole segment got me thinking over Arnav-Anjali again followed by Khushi between the two. So let's do a recap.

Anjali & Arnav have been through a lot together in their life. We are yet to know about their childhood experience but we are aware of the bonding they have been sharing all along. When life stranded them alone, they became each other's support and their bonding has excelled the siblings phase. Arnav has replaced the emptiness of not having his mother with him by establishing her in a place more than a sister. He does not need to be reminded of his mother when his sister is around. She has been his sole priority, his world and his love has been returned in full or even more by his sister too. Anjali had shared her world with her brother & her husband. She has been seen to maintain a beautiful balance between her priorities for both the guys in her life. Even at times, we have seen her to put her brother ahead of her husband. Just as much Arnav has loved her as a mother, we have seen Anjali to reciprocate that with motherly love.

Then love happened and entered another woman into the world of Arnav Singh Raizada - his love, his wife. Was that really supposed to change anything between the siblings? No. In fact, there has not. There is still no change in the equation between these two - they are still there for each other like before, their concern, care & love for each other is still as before. But circumstances are not easy now as life has put them on a test - a test that they will have to go through & prove the strength of their bonding. Till now, we have not seen any of them to do anything that might raise any question in their changed priorities. Just as much balance Anjali was able to maintain between the two men of her life, we see Arnav doing the same with the two ladies of his life too. Still things have got complicated; Anjali still feels Arnav is perhaps drifting away. Is she wrong in her stance? Perhaps no.

Anjali always had the confidence that his brother will not hide things from her; she will always be the one to whom he will be always transparent. Her confidence broke the day he married Khushi out of the blue and then refused to explain the true reason. Arnav did not lie to her, did not make up any stories but he did not tell her the truth and she knew it. That was the day that raised the first question in Anjali's mind. She was hurt but she overcame it for the sake of her brother. Assuming her brother's marital happiness, she put it behind and became a major support for her brother's wife too in the family.

After Arnav supposedly left for London, Anjali could sense Khushi's lies and she was visibly bothered about it. To add to it, Arnav did not call her once, which was very unlikely of him. Then one fine day, she finds out her brother's wife is in a mission to destroy her marital life & the same day, Khushi accused her God like Husband to kidnap Arnav & also to try to confiscate his property. While she failed to prove anything, Arnav chose to throw out his brother in law of the house merely stating he believes his wife. Is that really enough for Anjali to believe that her husband is at fault? No. Shyam has been a constantly good husband to her, hardly allowing her to ever feel bad. He has taken care of her, has been by her side. Why will any wife believe such a husband is wrong just because of someone's accusations without any proof? She still let it happen because it was her brother that made the decision but I cannot, in fact, can in no way, blame her for having doubts. She broke down but I will say she was gracious in handling such a nasty situation without creating further mess.

Arnav finally told her why she married Khushi. Anjali was happy that Arnav has opened up his heart and we saw her trying to take a step towards Khushi, perhaps only because of his brother. But what followed next? She learnt that Khushi left RM lying about her Buaji's illness. Anjali is being exposed to more & more of her lies - no matter if they are harmless - and lies always weaken the foundation of trust. Since Anjali knew Arnav stayed overnight there, I do not blame her if she assumes that Arnav also knew that Buaji was not sick and perhaps they were in this together, trying to have a little time together away from RM. This is where she hurts more than by Khushi's lies - assuming his brother is avoiding her to be with his wife. If she knew, he was away because Khushi has left him, would she really have felt this bad? I doubt.

Why Anjali is not being easy with Khushi? Why is she holding Khushi responsible - even if subconsciously? Because she is the reason why her world fall apart. Period. We are talking about humans here - not machines. And humankind tends to be more affected by emotions than reasons - that is what makes us human. So please give Anjali a break and not question her feelings. The day she will be able to put her reasons & emotions together, to see the true picture as it is - she will be the one standing by Arnav & Khushi. I doubt even any of us has any doubt on that. Till that time comes, let us hold our judgment.

Khushi has this tendency of hiding things - both good & bad. Both have repercussions. Life has taught me one thing - if you have done something for someone & he does not know it, do not expect him to understand, let alone reciprocate. We know what Khushi has done so far for both the families but do the families know? No. Arnav has started to understand her and he will give her the due respect & love she deserves. But to establish her place in the family, she needs to be perceived rightly by the family members and for that some revelation is needed - of past or future actions.

Just like Anjali is assuming Khushi to come between the siblings, Khushi is feeling the same way. The fun here is, in thinking so, Khushi actually is putting Anjali between her & Arnav. This is where things have got complicated for Arnav, without him having any knowledge on that currently.

Gap, gap - communication gap - all three of them are keeping half the words inside and the other half they are saying are double meaning. Arnav does not know why Khushi has decided to leave consciously. Now that Anjali has voiced that she expects to spend some time with her brother, Khushi probably will pursue her mission of leaving RM. But Khushi is unaware why Anjali said that and also Anjali does not why Khushi lied. Whoa!

The only thing with Anjali I cannot justify is her lack of concern on Arnav's kidnapping. Forget about Anjali, what is wrong with the whole family? Whether CVs are saving this for some future revelation, I wonder. But the question will still remain.

On a lighter note:

1) Arnav in Kurta ' had enough gutter doses in crooner last night. So better not write further. 😳

2) What were in those 3 bags? 🤔

3) Why did Arnav not change the Kurtas? 😛

4) Why did Arnav ask for Khushi in their room? 😛
