Honestly, I like the way Arnav has been characterized these days. ASR is a man built off money, ego and materialism. Just like we cannot change the fact that Khushi is selfless and likes to conceal things at the expense of someone's happiness, we cannot change the fact that ASR is ASR. But does that mean he loves her or anyone any less? No, it's just the way he expresses it is different. He was brought up differently. From such an early age he saw how emotions only held people back and that he only got his way with money. Frankly, I don't want love to change this guy so drastically that he drops his own nature.
Also, realistically speaking, I see traces of ASR clearly in my dad. My mom calls him "bhuddu" because even after 20 years of marriage, he still hasn't done anything remotely romantic for her.😆 He doesn't know how to express anything with words or emotions. He buys her gifts but doesn't say a word, tells ME to give it to her instead. 🤣 But does that mean he doesn't love her? No, it's just...that's his nature and if 20 years couldn't change that, do you think one year with Khushi will change ASR? An ASR who has been like this all his life? It would be so filmy if that were the case. I'm glad that they've stayed true to his character. He will realize but that cannot happen overnight.
