One of the main reason of a low TRP is that, many overseas viewers used to watch it live on Star Player, which used to help to raise the TRPs. But now star disabled the live telecaste service. So most of the overseas viewers watch it later on You tube or catch it up from other sources. Hence the drop in the TRPs.
