He will make her sleep and she dozes off.. basically director wanted to show she is contented..peacefully slept after all this as she knows now he is on her side and accepted her completely.

He laid her down on the bed, his side of the bed... he pulled bedcover on her, stood up, turned to go... she held onto his hand... stopped him... they looked at each other... he gulped, her eyes misty, sad... he sat on the bed next to her... their hands joined together near her heart... with his other hand he cups her face once... gust of wind blowing her hair... he removes the locks from her face, cups her face again... she relaxes and closes her eyes... his one hand in her hand, the other on her cheek... she finally sleeps peacefully... radiant !

And CUT !
