When Friday ended...I had two contrasting feelings...the rare but much needed glimpse of the ASR I knew ...and his "Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada"...said in a way only ASR can ...only to be quickly followed up with the outstanding dialogue by Chaar Singham's one particular Singham, which went something like..."Agar Khushi bahar hai to main andar kaise ho sakta hun"...what the!!😆
So today was watched with zero expectations (not that every other day I have great expectations...hmm...lets say on other days I have 1% expectations!!)...
But everytime I decide that this is all I can take of ASR and Khushi...they surprise me...for amid the tedious last few months of tears, comedy and life's real lessons...and a variety of dummy books for 'hostage search and sieze' and 'how to keep a high profile hostage'...comes this gem today!...not because it invoked copious tears...but because it goes back to the crux...that there is love...and both are willing to risk their lives for it!!
This is despite the wafer thin mind boggling kidnap and rescue plot, a stretched to death MU involving Shyam, sloppily executed action sequences, absolutely glaring continuity problems...including Barun's stubble and Sanaya's make up (Chaar Singham please watch EHMMBH to see what lack of vanity the actress Nia Sharma 👏👏👏... shows in going bald...and here...right in the middle of action packed scenes.. your actor has a shave and the actress's make up is largely unsmudged!!!)...and while we are at it you never ever dub Barun, Sanaya or Abhaas's voice...ok!
But anyways... if I cut though the haze... then for me ...it reiterates what drives these two characters and this serial...never mind the threadbare plot studded with such huge gaping loophopes that sense seems to be a bad word now!!...
And...in the spirit of love!!...Chaar Singham...I don't know about you ...but Is Pyaar ko 'Pyaar' hi naam do ...else sack the two wonderful leads and move on ...

Was the run and the case only from a physical hostage situation...or from ASR's own self reserve...the walls of ego, pride and loneliness around him...
I have always felt ASR loved Khushi because she reminded him of his ownself...and it was a matter of time when he will accept it...now that the vestiges of reserve are broken...now that (with or without the knowledge and remembrance of the terrace MU)...all that remains for him is that he loves Khushi...(as he has mentioned to her on the phone call.)..will he reach out...to Khushi when it matters the most!
Chaar Singham...if its not asking for much ...please surprise me by keeping the fact that he loves her despite anything...and everything he has or will see...
For whether he has said the I love you because
a) Is pyaar mein sahi aur galat ka koi matlab Nahi;
b) He thinks she is incapable of the Shyam affair and destroying his Di's life; or
c) He no longer cares as he has accepted her despite the terrace remembrance
He loves her...has ...is...will...

So is the new foundation for MU/ conflict one between Anjali and Khushi...or between Anjali and ASR??...I am going with the Anjali vs ASR conflict
I am reminded of every post I made in the initial stages ...of ASR having to choose between his left eye and right eye...and this seems to be it...Except that I dont want ASR to be tired again...tired of running away...tired of pretending he does not love or feel...tired of deciding whether he lives happily or his sister does...
So Chaar Singham...will we have a few moments of sunshine ...before the poisonous rain??

When I watched the last image of ASR against the setting sun...I was reminded of my own thoughts when I first saw ASR...
This is a silence that is unending...a silence that needs to be recognised...a silence that needs to be heard...a silence that is so layered, that even an irregular glimpse of it...rivets you, compels you to think...conveyes the pathos it truly is
It was lovely to see the flashbacks today...of all the times ASR has taken care of Khushi...and of the undeniable acceptance of marriage...and love...that and only that is the truth...Chaar Singham, very well conceptualised👏👏

Khushi...its high time that the "saansien ruk gayi" is completed before the right recepient of the dialogue!!...
It high time..that Arnav more than anyone hears this unequivocally..(even though he already knows it)...that you love him
Its high time Arnav hears the truth ...and complete truth...each secret, each motivation, each photograph taken on the cell phone of the will...each willfull siding with Shyam done with the motive of tracing Arnav...the entire works...
Because now ...once you are back in Shantivan ...more than anything...ASR will need you and you will need him...This merry go round of each person knowing half truths has to end.

Abhaas...the starting scenesand the car scenes were outstanding👏👏👏...but the in between scenes were the same old grimaces and bordering on overdoing it...please watch the in between scenes to understand how much you yo yo between terrific acting ...and grimacing!!
Sanaya...that struggle on the road was so very well conveyed through just the eyes👏👏👏👏...
Barun Sobti...welcome back👏👏👏👏👏👏
From the tentative emotional bye at the airport...to the 'physically overpowered but spirit intact' steely defence...to the absolutely raw admission of "I love you Khushi"...to the desperation and weariness setting in as the hostage days wore on...to the sublime, self conversation of acceptance of love... "Hamesha"...to the fierce counter attack...to the unmasked desperate fight for love...to the horror of having lost the love of ASR's life...or rather his life...
Dont know about ASR (although I like ASR more than you...sorry Barun😊)...but one thing is for sure...whether ASR wins or looses...you've won this Barun👏👏...for today once again ...its a rewind!!
