Reduxian!!!!
Just caught up with the week that was... And now my fingers are just itching to type away.
Firstly, WTH yaar another week of no Barun, Yes the CV's have done a fantastic job, Yes Sanaya and Abhass & Mami shouldered the responsibility well... but enough is enough man. There better not be a next time around, I mean yes the movie is a big opportunity but so is your show and honestly, movie careers are not a guarantee but the show is already a success, dude can the PH please sign up for negotiation lessons, they need it oh so badly!!!
Ok so the things I liked this week:
Don't know how I feel about the song sequence, it did not have the magic of the sangeet, yes the situation was completely different but if felt like a "pacify the crazy girls" move, nothing wrong with such moves its only wrong when we can spot it and critique it... What I loved, is Arnav screaming Khushi at the end and Khushi's immediate reaction of searching for him. BEAUTIFUL!!! the song wasn't as poignant as this one moment.
The telepathic conversation... for a moment I was transported to my teenage years filled with MB romance novels and the dreams of love that transcends all, I hope people didn't take it too literally, because this was just to show that they live in each other hearts, Khushi's dialogue "kahine ko Heer pur dil se Ranja" Loved it.loved it LOVEEEDDD ITTT!!!!
The next thing I loved was Anjali walking in on Shyam and Khushi, man Daljeet can hold her own among the very talent cast of IPKKND. Her expression went from sweet, I smell roses everywhere to what the hell, I have to digest the fact that something that wasn't right is going on here, to I have to give the benefit of the doubt that I have got things wrong I mean I'm talking about my husband here, to a frosty and formality full two limes to Khushi and then back to sweet Anjali. Brillant, who needs dialogues when you can steal a scene like that 👏👏👏 well done Daljeet!
Buaji and Payal!!!! What the??? Why ??? I know it is essential to break up a serious storyline with comic relief every good successful show has done it but really do we need crap comedy? Atleast explain it better so we understand the purpose of this entire drama.
Shyam Manohar Jha: Holy crap this track has really helped us understand a layer of Shyam that we don't like to see. His love for Khushi, in a way it sweet he loved her from the moment he saw her. But instead of thinking about being good enough for her he just wants to win her like a trophy ( aka Anjali) but where Anjali was scared and damaged on the inside, Khushi is strong and independant, hence there never was an attraction to the sweet talks, she didn't need to seek solance in the comfort he provided, she has always needed to be challenged which Arnav brought to the table. A minute discrepancy that Shyam never got, because he has been able to charm everyone he just assumes everyone will fall victim to his amo. I love that he is getting more physical with Khushi, like he is stating his claim on her, this is what he wanted to do when they were engaged but she was preoccupied with her feeligns for Arnav at the time and pushed him away, here she is accepting it much to his delight, and his feelings sore into the night sky.
Khushi: The disgust when she has to touch him is sooo palatable that I literally feel my stomach crawl. Khushi is telling the truth to Shyam, the Khushi he knew is dead, because that Khushi had no idea she exists only for a certain ASR. I loved how she is two steps ahead of the game always. She now knows the players and she also knows how to play the game, she is distracting her opponent from his goal at the same time never removing her eye from hers.
BUT...
She has not disclosed the whole truth to NK, pray tell, Jejaji has kidnapped Arnav, clearly he isn't a good guy, why exactly is she hidding the whole truth from her partner??? LOGIC guys LOGIC!!!! I also don't understand why she isn't teling Mami about Shyam, so Arnav comes home and then they all live happily ever after???? I mean she should be THINKING!!!! MONOLOGUE people, why can't she tell NK the whole truth? Wait I don't think you know the answer to that as well.
And finally Advice to CV'ss
1) We love the story, and if the story calls for a cast member to be pregnant and have babies and this member doesn't want to do so then kindly show them the door.
Daljeet is brillant, and quite frankly I am waiting till the day there is a rift between Arnav and Anjali, because I think these two portray this relationship with such real emotion that sometimes I forget that they are not actually related. If the fact that her role is so important to the story and everything anybody does is always about her, and in the upcoming months she is going to be front and centre of the upcoming drama can't keep her back then please SHOW HER THE DOOR!!!! I mean actresses do all sorts of things for important roles, Natalie Portman lost 30 pounds and trained to be a ballerina, Charlize Theron transformed into a monster, closer to home, Vidya Balan carried one of the most brillant thrillers in Hindi Cinema with an 8 mths pregnant avataar, and on your show Ahbaas plays a character much older than he actually is, so what is this nonsense about not wearing a bump. Really all this drama about such a trival thing. I think the child is what is most important because then and only then Anjali will have to be strong because she now has the responsibility for a human being who cannot fend for themselves.
2) Payal needs to straighten her hair, actually is this some married Indian women rule that they can't tie their hair or something, both Khushi and Payal look nice with side ponytails, le tthem do their hair for special occasions.
3) Kidnapper has better lines than NK, that is not done guys. Though i must say the little relief he provides with his Hinglish is good.
4) What does Khushi think will happen once Arnav gets back??? they put Shyam in jail??? a discussion with NK please
5) Romance yaar please, bahut hoga yeh kidnapping.
6) And finally, great job guys I know its almost the end, and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, kindly give Sanaya a raise (since you can't give her a vacation) she deserves it, the girl carried the show on her petite frame, from the desperation to prove her innocence, to the realization of love, to the understanding that something is a miss, to the frantic search, to the over flowing of love, to the nervous submission to the one she loves, to the heartbreak of losing him once again, to the quiet determination of getting him back, to the calm and calculated moves to ensure success, Khushi has come a long way and the transition was smooth. YES GIVE HER A RAISE!!!! Even if you have to cut Barun's salary to do it.( he must be punished for keeping us waiting for so long 😭 ).
Looking forward to some great weeks ahead.

P.S. Just to be sure no one gets this wrong, Daljeet is brillant as Anjali, but if the actress doesn't understand the character and the importance of a certain even to the chracter then farewells are apparent. Love Daljeet and I hope she stays on.

Just wanted to say that I'm really glad that Daljeet has decided to stay, the decline in the screen time of the Arnav- Anjali bond is a damn good reason to look at other opportunities, far better than the baby bump issue. In fact ,with one interview Daljeet has won me over. When the creatives took a mental break they should have been showing us the back story of how and why the family trust their most important and fragile member ( Anjali) to a person like Shyam, I mean, does a person like ASR trust blindly instead of all the crap that we had to go through...
Now I'm very excited for the upcoming track, I would love to see the couples face off, Arnav and Khushi facing the music while Shyam instigates Anjali. And in Anjali's defense he has been the "Perfect" husband, but again we don't know why she trusts him blindly. But I am going to show some faith in the CV's after all they have handled Barun's absense so well and gave us such tight scripted episodes.
